North Quincy has a great place to eat in Panera Bread! We we ate lunch there today. It was such a great experience for lunch. We got Extra creamy MAC and Cheese to die for. I got a steak and white Cheddar cheese with red pickled onions and aioli garlic sauce on ciabatta bread. It tasted like the bread just baked still warm and chewie. The wait staff was so attentive when I asked them what was good on the sandwich, because I don't like horseradish sauce, so Khidhri suggested the garlic sauce he was right on with that! I was so happy with my sandwich that I had to write a good review. Customer was very impressive, which is usually up or not mentionable. I can't wait to tell you about the cookie, which was so big we had to split it was called "The Kitchen Sink ". Double Delicious! I can't wait to try something different next time. read more

I went online to the Panera Bread Website to find what I want to order before arriving at the eatery. I saw a "value meal" 1/2 Turkey & Cheese sandwich & Cream of Chicken & Wild Rice Soup for $7.99 and that's what I ordered. The value meal rang up for $8.99, which I assumed was a mistake because I didn't see any special messages. I spoke with the manager Sun-Hair and refused to reduce the price to $7.99. He said "try to order it online and the price will be higher" I asked why, he said something about Boston location and the Braintree location. Not sure of why it's a dollar more but as the manager he could have simply said, "since it's ADVERTISED on the website for this price, I will honor $7.99 but in the future it's $8.99. That's what a "manager" does...give excellent service, keep the customer happy. I called corporate to let them know about my experience, the guy was very very nice and he apologized and gave me a $3 coupon. By the way, the sandwich was excellent, and this was the very first time I had THIS flavor soup, and it was absolutely satisfying (YUMMY!). Decent quick stop for food when in the area. The food typically comes out reasonably fast and is as one would expect. At this particular location I've never had any issue with my order and always had orders come out quick. The restaurant is kept mostly clean although you never get that fresh, sparkly clean feeling. The decor seems aged and worn and like it hasn't been replaced in 10-20 years. Booth seating can have tears and cracks in it. One thing I noticed is that the quantity/volume can vary each time you order, for example, may get a huge bowl of soup (super full) one time but a small bowl (only slightly full) another time. Seems to depend who is serving. The small takeout size of a "bowl" is shocking compared to the dine in version, but you pay the same. Soup and food are pretty good although nothing incredible. Homemade would always be better. I find that the soup usually almost always hits the spot. It's good soup! The sandwiches are good as well, usually on the large side. A reason for lower stars is price vs value. These days it can feel costly to eat at Panera compared to what you get. 2 people can easily approach a $40 tab which feels like a lot for just soup, sandwich, and drink. $40 can get you 2 entrees at a decent restaurant or go a long way toward groceries. Overall a quick and good stop for convenience above all, especially when the weather necessitates a good soup. read more

I got a Baguette with 4 tiny tomatoes, little to no mozzarella cheese and No Basil at all!! I immediately called when I got home and saw this. The quality at this Panera location has been slipping for a very long time. I went today and got a caesar with chicken salad. The entire salad was made with iceburg lettuce. It wasn't even a mix of romaine and iceburg. I hate iceburg lettuce which is why I always get a caesar salad. Who needs to be told that caesar salads are made with romaine and not iceburg lettuce? I'm also not happy that they renovated and removed the bench near the pick up, so now when you wait for your food, there is no place to sit and you have to stand. read more

Bagel was only lightly toasted vs real toasted? No cheese in bag, butter gave me 3 little butters which were cold frozen? Had to go back and ask for cream cheese and guy tossed a plastic container with cream cheese into bag? Now; nothing that I hate more than trying to apply cold frozen butter to poorly toasted bagel, then applying cream cheese myself... then the non green pile of trash from 3 butter containers, foil, cream cheese container, knife, bag ? Why not spread butter and cream cheese on bagel or put do butter, cream cheese on side... Then all good seats in place taken by day squatters in front of fireplace with their laptops, cell phones, note pads... free office while they but a small coffee or get free through the sips program?? gets 2 stars cause it tasted good and was ready on time. As for the sandwich the picture showed sliced chicken. I got bbq pulled chicken with mozzarella, tomatoes and onions. The chicken was ground to pulverization like a tuna salad and maybe consisted of 3-4 ounces of meat for a whole $12.49 sub. The cheese and the veggies were cut so thin you could barely see them. I had asked for extra tomatoes and that consisted of 4 slices maybe cut 1/16th of an inch thick which fit the length of the sub so I guess that is extra huh? I just ordered the Family Feast, two bread bowls and two brownies. I ordered it 4 hours in advance and customized the Family Feast order. My husband went to pick it up and the only thing in the bag was the two bread bowls and the brownies. My husband tried to explain to the counter help what the problem was, ie.. we paid $49.20 for the above mentioned food items (two bread bowls and two brownies). She apparently looked at him like he had 3 heads. When he came home and showed me what was in the bag, I immediately called and asked to speak to the manager. So on 2/13/2024 the manager of this location. Aggressively walked up to me accused me of stealing he then decided that wasn't enough. He then took a cup of soda out of from my table and threw it away. I have a condition I can't have too much sugar so like a little soda just to balance myself out. This is about half a cup from a small plastic cup. He then told me to not steal. he did all this in front of customers embarrassing me and himself with his horrible attitude. I rated this Panera 3 stars a few weeks ago. Tonight, the experience wasn't up to par. Asian sesame chicken salad and Mexican street corn chowder were good. I ordered the Strawberry poppyseed salad. The cashier said they were out of blueberries and I said okay. When I got the order there were no blueberries and strawberries, just lettuce, pineapple, a couple of canned mandarin oranges, and poppy seeds. Great location with a ton of parking! It was pretty busy on a Friday afternoon. There was a line out the door but thank goodness for the kiosks! I was able to place my order and head straight to the pick up area within 5 minutes. The wait time for the food was at least 15 minutes which wasn't that bad considering they were pretty busy. I was bummed out when they gave me basic lays chips inside of their Panera potato chips. They were actually really stingy on the chicken in both the sandwich and the salad. Now, that ad campaigns series with the folksy music and the hippie broad talking to us in an earnest voice are quite annoying to me... to the point I want to punch her in the throat; and the two lesbian doctors are just frigging annoying... I am convinced you get less food when you order to go. Earlier in the week I got the creamy chicken and wild rice soup and ate at the restaurant. It was filing and comforting. I just ordered the same size for take out and I am convinced you get less. I spoke to a representative who assured me you get the same amount as it is measured. A cup has 2 ladles and a bowl had 3 ladles. It doesn't feel like it nor does it look like it. Nothing is worse when you order something and then am disappointed in seeing that you are not getting what you expected. If it is truly 3 ladles then Panera should consider resizing their containers as it looks like you barely filled it. I understand leaving some room to avoid spills but this is ridiculous. read more

We ordered 2 bacon turkey sandwiches and when we arrived home and started to eat our sandwiches we realized that the bacon was missing from both sandwiches. I called and pressed #5 to speak to a manager, I spent over 15 minutes on the phone repeatedly pressing #5, I pressed to place a catering order and received the same message as the one I received for #5.
