Pork + cabbage dumplings (the best!)
    Madeleine B.

This place is truly a hidden gem worth a visit. Vibe: Tiny restaurant tucked inside of a grocery store with glass walls, several small 2 seater tables, and the owner making food fresh in the little kitchen behind the counter. Service: The food was prepared so fast! Staff were friendly. Food: Excellent across the board. For two people we got: Scallion pancakes - the flakiest, crispiest I've ever had, good Signature soup dumpling - great portions, good flavor Chinese chive pockets - my favorite thing we got, the filling ingredients were so fresh and flavorful, the dough was perfectly cooked Pork dumplings with cabbage - probably my favorite dumplings I've ever had, excellent fresh flavor. All of the accompanying sauces were on point as well. Value: Excellent, for two people it only cost us $36 before tip. Bonus: They sell frozen dumplings you can make at home! I am so glad this place was recommended to me. 100% worth getting a meal there and I would absolutely go again.

Little gem hidden in the old Lollicup boba tea stall. The lady who i believe is the owner also was very very nice and accomodating! We started with just the xlb crab meat + pork with the fried chive vermicelli and woods ear pocket. I need up ordering another XLB and pan fried dumplings! I must say the wrap used for the dumplings especially the XLB soup dumplings was great. Everything was made by hand in back by the owner, filled and wrapped. Steamed quick and brought to us. Scan the QR code and pay! Not a single XLB broke on us and the soup filling was tasty! Def a hidden gem will be back for our next fix!

This place is DA BOMB. The aunties who run this place are so nice. They are Shanghainese, and we could tell they put so much care into their food. Soup Dumplings: All handmade. Wrappers are excellent. Super duper soupy, and they come out piping hot. The crab roe dumplings are nice, too, but not as good as the ones in Shanghai (obviously). Out of the 12 we ordered, only two ripped, so not bad! Small Wontons: Very, very authentic. We just got back from a trip to Shanghai, and I can confirm these are legit. You should definitely try them, as it's pretty hard to find small wontons in the US. Radish Cakes: These were also delicious. So juicy on the inside! Scallion Pancakes: These were pretty standard. Of course, the standard scallion pancake is also delicious. Not too greasy, and very crisp. I wouldn't say these are a must-have, though, since you can probably find good ones elsewhere too. They also sell soup dumplings frozen to-go. We will definitely be back! This place is awesome!

I was in Boston and looking for some soup dumplings. This was pretty close to our hotel but I didn't realize it was inside a supermarket/warehouse. It was really interesting, that place sells everything. This soup dumpling stand was near the cash registers and is a tiny little place with a few tables. I ordered the xlb to-go and ate it outside. It was hot and fresh and paired nicely with the dipping sauce. Overall, this place had tasty dumplings but there's not much of an ambiance so take it to-go.

You'll need to order your food on the counter. The lady will bring your food. Minimum charge for credit card is $20. Service was prompt and the lady kindly reminded me that the soup dumplings are steaming hot. Food was great, will definitely return here.

Stopped by one day before shopping at Kan Man. I usually opt for getting Ba le but wanted to try something new and I am so glad I did! We had the wonton soup, pork & shrimp dumplings, and the Crab-meat soup dumplings. Everything was super fresh and delicious - ESPECIALLY the crab-meat soup dumplings. Definitely more of a takeout spot since there are not very many tables but I am glad that we ate there so that everything was piping hot and also because the crab-meat soup dumplings are dine-in only.

Had some time to kill and was hungry so I decided to grab a quick bite here. This place is located inside Kam Man market. It's one of the sections across from all the cash registers. It's small but has 4 dine in tables. I ordered crab soup dumplings and steamed pork & mushrooms buns then sat down and wait. The steamed pork buns came out first. It was piping hot. To my surprise, the bun part was fluffy/spongy (almost chewy texture which I really like). The filling was a tad salty for my liking but still good. The crab soup dumplings arrived right after I finished my first pork bun. The soup dumplings had a good amount of soup inside and flavorful. The dumpling skin was on the thicker side with the same chewy texture. The dipping sauce was light in color with ginger pieces. It was on the sweeter side. I'm used to the dark vinegar soy sauce at most Shanghai style places. The total was around $21. I left feeling very full. I will try their wonton soup next time I'm in the area again.

Cyndy's Bottom Line: The most delicious soup dumplings in an unassuming place. *Located in the Kam Man Food marketplace Upon entering walk straight ahead, located on the right across of the check out cashiers. *There are four tables available for dining in. *Open daily: 0900-7pm, Closed on Tuesday *Cash or Venmo *Take out and delivery This is what we ate: -Signature Soup Dumplings (6pcs) Authentic pork soup dumpling made from a delicately thin dumpling skin, juicy meat, and a seasoned broth. *The dumplings are so delicious. A good amount of tasty pork filling with a delicate wrapper. A must order. -Crab-meat Soup Dumplings (6pcs) Real crab-meat & pork soup dumpling made from a delicately thin dumpling skin and a seasoned broth. *Delicous crab meat and the amount of filling to wrapper ratio is good. Tasty dipping sauce. -Pork & Shrimp with Chive (8pcs) (Steamed or Pan-Ftied) *You can order the dumplings steamed or fried. We ordered the dumplings steamed. Very tasty filling especially with the chives. -Scallion Pancakes (4pcs) Crispy, flaky exterior that gives way to a slightly chewy interior of thin layers. *This is a must order because it is absolutely divine! Loved the crispiness! So light and airy cripiness, delicate crunch and tasty scallion flavor. The dipping sauce elevates the flavor profiles. *Highly recommend *Friendly and attentive service *Continued success to Jessica and the lady chefs!

Hidden gem in Kam Man- hand made soup dumplings, dumplings, etc. I bought some pork and cabbage frozen dumplings. Pan fried for 8-9 min (added some water and covered). Then I ate it with some hoisin and sriracha sauce on the side. It tastes delicious and fresh. I have also tried the frozen soup dumplings at home. Steamed for 11 min and they tastes as good as the ones at restaurants in Cambridge/ chinatown.

Flavors - 4.1/5 Textures - 4/5 Presentation - 4.3/5 Value for Money - 3.8/5 Would return? Yes Must-try: Pork, Shrimp & Leek Dumplings I think this are the best dumplings I've ever tried! The pork, shrimp and leek pan fried dumplings were cooked to perfection, thinly wrapped, generously filled and well seasoned. I loved that the shrimp was chopped and I could feel the chunks in there. Incredibly delicious flavor is you like leeks. These were hard to critique. Their signature soup dumplings were good as well but average in comparison. The wrapper was too thick, but had the right bite and chew (most people overcook their dumplings, not here!). Yummy flavors as well.

Wow! What a gem of a find inside the grocery store. The handmade dumplings were made with love and care. The soup inside the soup dumpling was packed with flavor and the meat was soft and tender as was the steamed dumpling.

New dish alert! The Radish Pancakes are AMAZING!! it looks dry outside but juicy inside!! You have to eat it fresh...so pay the 20% tips and eat it there!! Sorry...we ate too quick and forgot to take photo

Great juicy authentic soup dumplings freshly steamed all in a mom and pop shop in Kam man market. Friendly service. It's about time Quincy has a place for soup dumplings so I don't have to trek Chinatown. I can now get my groceries and stop by this cute place . Will be a frequent customer Tip- Get the white peach sparkling water! First time I'm having it and it's amazing! Goes well with the dumpling.

It's so much more spacious, the staff is way friendlier, and the food is just as good--if not better. Whether you're coming for a weekend dim sum run or a full authentic Chinese dinner, this place consistently hits. The dim sum staples are an absolute must: the shrimp and celery bean curd roll, rice rolls, shu mai, and harkow are all perfection. And you can't leave without the BBQ pork buns or those decadent lava buns and egg tarts. If you're with a bigger group, their family-style shareables like the house fried rice and stir-fried Chinese broccoli are top-tier pairings. There's plenty of parking (though it definitely fills up during peak hours!), and the vibe is super family-friendly. It's the perfect spot to catch up with friends over an amazing meal. 10/10 neighborhood staple! One star left out purely because sometimes the line is just so out of control. Get here early!

It was about 2 hours before closing time on a Sunday night, and only 3 or 4 tables in the huge dining room were occupied, which spooked me a little. Turned out we had nothing to fear---the food was excellent, really on par if not better than anything from Chinatown where we usually hit the New Golden Gate restaurant when hankering for some Cantonese food. Best of all, none of the parking headaches of Chinatown! Only downside to this place is the table service---food was brought out fairly fast after ordering, but servers had to be flagged down to get their attention throughout, otherwise they were off socializing with each other on the other side of the space most of the time. We normally don't expect super duper service at Asian restaurants but this was a bit worse than usual. Very elegant and attractive space inside might make you fear for inflated pricing, but the prices were actually pretty reasonable given the quality and quantity of food you get. Am planning to come back, despite the lackadaisical service.

We ordered a rice roll as usual--the female owner accidentally handed the dish to another table, and it sat there for about five minutes or so, while the couple was talking over the dish. Then the female owner apparently realized the dish was handed to the wrong table, she took it back into the kitchen (as a deception, thinking we wouldn't realize it's the same dish, we saw her through the curtain, she was holding the same dish the whole time--she didn't know we were watching and rightfully suspicious of what she was sneakily doing), then brought it out right back to our table. We did not want to say anything. But it was disgusting, people do spit onto the dish when they talk over it during those five minutes, you know? We were too shy to cause a scene or destroy the long standing relationship. Further, we couldn't afford to let that $12 or so dish go to waste. So we tried eating it. Afterward, we felt so disgusted. And that was the last time we went to Big Fun Cafe. Two years or so ago. Even after learning of its new location in Brookline, we are just so disgusted by the memory of the incident described above -- so we never tried their Brookline location. Note to the owners: for future customers, such mistakes do happen, but please have some integrity and just discard/trash the contaminated dish -- or if you want to be so cheap, eat the contaminated dishes yourself. Don't be so stingy and deceptive so as to hand it to your presumed naive customers. That was extremely disgusting and even two years later, we're still disgusted by it.
