If you wish to get ripped off, Panera is the place for you. Over the years, their quantities have been reduced to a ridiculous level, while their prices have gone up without any reason. I visited the location near Southshore plaza this morning. I ordered a medium coffee, a bagel with reduced fat cream cheese. I paid over $5. When the bagel was delivered to my table, I was amazed by how tiny it was. It was no more than 3 inches in diameter. I was so outraged that I left the coffee and bagel. Just want to let you know, I did not enjoy my visit to your location. I have been over charged many times for something I did not order. When I explain that I was over charged, I'm told it's because I ordered wrong. I order a very simple sandwich, egg and cheese. Every time I get charged for a bacon egg and cheese minus the bacon. Make know sense to me, to be charged for something I did not order. Also I'm told that I need to place my order online. That is very hard to do while driving. I think if you don't have the time to take my order. Then I will order where somewhere else. In the morning people are in a hurry, as they have to get to work. I get 10 minutes on how to order over the phone. I just want to be able to run in and out that is why I order on the phone. It seems to take just as long to order on the phone as it would to just come in and order. Convince 0. I want to let you know however; I had given up completely on the Braintree location, as it was a mess. I did stop in out of desperation and found a new Management Team who I can tell really care and seem to run a tight ship (Very Professional Thank U). So I started to venture back once and a while. After the lessons on how to order an egg and cheese sandwich, I'm insulted that your staff feels a need to explain to me how to order. This place sucks and I won't be returning! I used to love Panera, in fact I used to go sometimes several times a week. However I haven't been in awhile because of a new "clean-eating" diet I was trying. I decided to reward myself with Panera since I've been doing so well and was craving some delicious mac n cheese ... Only to be extremely disappointed! 10 bucks for about 3 bites of mac n cheese and about a quarter of half a soggy smushed up sandwich. WTF happened to their portion sizes?!? It seems like they have been cut in half but kept the price the same! Their meals used to fill me up but no anymore! Mind you I'm about 5'5 125 lbs and it does not take that much food to fill up my small stomach. I had to have another meal when I got home. Now the next thing... What's up with their new counter service? It used to work great they call it your name or ring your buzzer if they gave you one. Now they have someone who waits on customers. I was standing waiting to grab my takeout and I saw the people behind the counter fulfill my order and place it on the counter with a receipt with my name on it, as I went to grab it the people behind the counter told me I had to wait for the server to come back and that he would give it to me (he was waiting on people sitting down for their meals). So I had to stand there an stare at my food until he came back and all he did was grab it and read my name. Frustrating to me that I had to wait since I was in a rush, and I don't see the issue with me grabbing it myself and giving the people behind the counter my receipt to prove it is my order like it used to be (which I'm pretty sure is still the case at most locations). I'm very upset with my service today I went in because I received $30 in gift certificates for poor service at the Walpole location when I tried to use them I was told by the general manager Jodi he was not taking them because I'm an ex employee I think he is very unprofessional just because I left the company for a job that pays more I can't use my gift certificates given to me by another one of his locations read more

This Panera stands out above others because their delicious green tea, lemonade, and other teas are self serve, which means you can refill them when you eat there. At other Panera's I've been to, they fill your tea behind the counter, which means the cup you get, is all you get. One employee made a mistake on my order but was quick to fix it, and gave me a free cookie because of it! They have a nice gentleman by the counter who checks all the bags that go out to customers to make sure every order is fulfilled, which I don't see at the Panera in Hanover or Hingham. A couple of other things this Panera has that other Panera's nearby don't: they have a screen with everyone's name on it that tells you when your order is being made, and when it is ready. They also have a bench to sit on by the food counter while you're waiting, and electronic self-ordering stations if the line gets too long, or if you don't want to place your order with a cashier. You get mostly the same quality of food here, but it's the service and amenities that puts the Braintree Panera above the rest. read more

First off Braintree will never see me again. I went in to purchase a $25.00 gift card. I had my Panera card in my hand ready to hand it to the cashier she never took it aren't the employees supposed to ask for it first thing. So, it was never scanned for this purchase. Myself and Mom ordered a bagel with cream cheese was told they don't have cream cheese only butter...weird I thought. We found a table the bagel arrived burned with two tiny containers of butter. Oh, by the way the coffee was not good very weak no flavor whatsoever. At this point I didn't go up for more butter or even complain about the bagel. The cashier didn't have a clue, there was another female employee there the one who will take your order while in line she was not friendly at all. Well, all in all I'll never visit this location. They need to brush up on greeting paying customers, smile and try to be happy to see you because if we don't come you don't have a job! Lots left to be desired. The Worcester location beats this place by a mile. Not too long ago I also had a problem at this location and vowed they'd never see me again but it was late in the afternoon and Mom was dying for a good cup of coffee and a bagel.............sadly she didn't get either. I have a moderate tree nut & peanut allergy, so I asked the staff to please prep my food carefully. The cashier was very kind & acknowledging. We grabbed a booth right where you pick up your food and the staff (food prep?) was laughing with his peer about how food allergies aren't real and it was no big deal. It was super sad that someone serving food was so unaware of the severity of food allergies and that they were comfortable enough to have their discussion out in the open where anyone could hear (talk about awkward......!) Store manager: hope you read this and take the opportunity to educate your staff or just be honest with customers that you aren't an allergy friendly location and that your staff is not trained to safely handle and serve allergen free food. read more

Today I walked into this place, and I come here often, but today, the service was lower than expected. Kayla was at the register when it was my turn and walked away immediately as if she did not want to take my order but luckily another girl got to the register, after making me feel rejected. Her service was neither to commend because she took my order and didn't ask me if I wanted a side, so I just told her what I wanted. I come here often but todays experience was the worst. I've been to plenty Paneras, all around New England. A co-worker and I were in the area and went here for lunch one day. I had the perfect experience! Everyone I spoke with was very friendly and accommodating. They got my order out fast and just the way I wanted it. They even came around to offer all the guests a freshly baked chocolate chip cookie, for free! It was delicious, like everything on the menu is. read more

I ordered 2 bowls of soup for dinner tonight because the last few times I've ordered soup I received very little noodles meat and veggies.their soup is delicious but I was hoping I'd get a little bit more than the last few times.... My experience here has been Amazing! Love using the ipads to order, instead of waiting in a long line.The fact they have food runners who bring your food to you at your table is an added touch which I like. So far I have not had a bad meal yet. Keep up the great service!! read more

Far and away best panera I've been to. I love the technology with the fast order kiosks and the fact that they'll bring your order to your table. Even better is that the people who work here are so kind and efficient. Only had one semi negative experience and the girl was just obviously new and didn't know the menu that well, not a big deal at all. I ordered online from the Panera bread in Braintree MA yesterday. We have had small issues with the this store before, (things missing from our order, late delivery times, etc) but nothing so bad it has stopped us from ordering from there. This was a large order, because multiple people at my work ordered and gave me the cash so I could put it on my debit card. The order came to $74.07. I had to call almost 2 hours later because our food had still not arrived, even though I was told 30 minutes. When I called, whoever answered the phone told me the driver was in a bad accident, and that's why our food was so late. I of course said that I hope he's OK and that we will await the order. Another 25 minutes later, the driver arrived with ice cold food and a trainee saying, "Sorry, we are training today that's why we are so behind." So first off, someone made up a horrific lie about why our food was late. Second, they charged my card twice, and when I called this morning the manager was rude and basically told me he can't do anything about it, that he would have to email IT and then call me back. The second charge was more than the first, and was charged two hours after the first. I am now $78 short for something I didn't even buy. I will await his call back, and I will get my money back today by whatever means necessary, but I will NEVER order from Panera Braintree again and neither will the 50+ employees I work with. read more

This place is HORRIBLE! My fiancee and I were happy to see a Panera open up shop as close as this new restaurant is to our apartment. However, we have been together twice and I have been twice on top of that since they have opened and EVERY time I have visited they have messed up on the order. I went this morning after we made a vow in not returning for at least a month or maybe 2 months. I like to punish myself apparently. I was happy to see there was no other customers in line and I ordered a sausage and cheese no egg on a ciabatta. I think I even said it twice, if not three times! I get to the counter to pick it up, the person making the sandwich starts cracking an egg! I told him I didn't want egg on the sandwich only cheese and sausage! He showed me the receipt. The girl put down NO CHEESE! WHY??? Is she deaf???? Should've I used sign language in ordering? Maybe speak another language? Two weeks ago during our last visit which was supposed to be our last visit. My fiancee and I ordered baked potato soup. The shift supervisor tried to be funny about it after she got distracted. She reread the order twice I think with broccoli and cheddar soup. She tried to be funny when she should've apologized! What do you really expect from a 19 year old?? Anyhow, did we get baked potato soup AFTER I corrected her???? Noooo...Did we get brocolli and chedder soup? Nooooo....WE GOT CLAM CHOWDER! We both went up and exchanged our clam chowder for baked potato soup but after I was done with it. I found 2 little hairs in it! Damn, I should've not returned there today! My fiancee warned me not to go because I get so upset but yet again they messed up. The time before the hair and soup incident I had to wait for what seemed forever in line. I never did order due to the ton of people in front of me and the one cashier waiting on these people. I actually reached the front and this cashier took off to make a type of coffee without acknowledging me. I left. The first time we went was 3 days after they opened. I forget what happened then but forget it! I will go the extra few miles and head over to the Quincy location if I ever go again at all. read more
