Went to the Panera off Ford rd last week for sandwich during lunch. Went through the drive through and didn't look at my meal til I got home. When I opened my Napa chicken salad sandwich on a croissant to say I was disappointed would be a HUGE understatement. It looked like I had ordered a croissant and the Panera employees had accidentally put half a scoop of chicken salad on it, realized there mistake and tried to scoop off as much as possible. It looked like I got the bottom scraps that were left in the container and even though it wasn't enough to make an "actual sandwiches worth" they didn't feel the need to open a knee one and put another scoop on there to make it an actual filling sandwich. It was incredibly watery and there was more lettuce than anything else on my flattened sad croissant. What a joke. No wonder this location doesn't have great reviews. Stop cheating your customers on what they paid for. read more

Got the 1/2 chicken Thai Salad and it was the worst salad I have ever seen! The lettuce looked like bag lettuce that was past its use by date. It was translucent, wilted, and mostly the bitter ends. Took 3 bites and threw it out for fear of getting sick from it. At $8 bucks for a half you would think their quality would be better. read more

I live near this Panera and I have only ever used the drive thru. This is a NIGHTMARE!!! They NEVER get my order correct. As an example, once I ordered 2 tuna salad sandwiches with no tomato and no onion to take to coworkers, when i got to work and opened them, they had tomato and onion, but NO TUNA!! This is one of many times the order was wrong. Today, I went again, against my better judgement, and I was the only one in the drive thru. "Great, they can't get this wrong," I thought. They did! I ordered an iced tea and a Caesar salad, she asked if I wanted chicken, to which I answered, "no thank you". I got home and found the iced tea apparently doesn't come with ice, but my Caesar salad with no chicken, only comes with chicken! Bizarro world? Opposite day? Who knows?! Perhaps just the girls at the drive thru window have too much to talk about to get my order correct. They also don't have time for "please" and "thank you". This Panera's service was terrible. I came in without a mask and they asked me to go get one so I drove 10 mins back to my house to get one. I returned and the doors were closed. I have visited this store twice using the order online pick up. Both times they forgot items. The first visit I was picking it up and checked, noticing they forgot my cookie. The person at the register was nice, told me they didn't have the one I ordered but they could replace it with another. Except the cookie I order was almost a dollar more than the replacement. I ask for two, he kindly obliged. The second visit I was working late and my friend picked up my order for me. I got a pick two, soup and sandwich and they forgot my sandwich. Solid place to to stop and grab a quick more healthful bite to eat. I've gotten lunch here with my mom many times. The trick is to get here early enough to beat the crowds that mass here on the weekend. If you get here after 1 p.m., good luck finding a table as the Ford Rd. corridor where this sits is extremely busy!! Plus they have a drive through in a cramped parking lot so it can be a bit of a pain getting back out onto Ford Rd. Definitely some pretty tasty eats. read more

I visited this store yesterday for breakfast. I purchased the egg white, avocado, spinach sandwich. The avocado was black and moldy. I am so glad I opened the sandwich first before letting my 4 yr. old eat any. We could have gotten food poisoning from this food. I'm quite upset that I was served this food. I don't understand how this could possibly have happened. I was told at the Ann Arbor/Saline Rd. location (where I have ordered this sandwich previously), that the avocado is sliced for each customer. This can't possibly be the case at the Canton location. I was disgusted enough that I took pictures. I want to make you aware of this because, it must have been sitting around for quite a while (days) to reach this state of decomposition. Not only was the "fresh" product sitting around long enough to mold but, the employee making the sandwich didn't bother to check the quality of the ingredients he was assembling; isn't that part of his job? Also, the manager also didn't bother to walk around and look into the food containers to make sure the ingredients being served were fresh. He did apologize and refunded me the $4.29 but, really I would like someone to re-train these employees so that this doesn't happen to someone else. I will not be back to this location. Overall the atmosphere and cleanliness of the place could be improved. I came here and studied for approximately four hours and did not once see anyone wiping down tables. Every single table within my viewpoint had some type of food or mess on it. The women's bathroom was atrocious. The floor was disgusting, no toilet paper in the stall I used, and the trash can with a dirty diaper on top was immediately placed next to the door opening and in front of the first stall. This particular wkd they also had no romaine lettuce and my parents ended up canceling their order and going to another. I'm also all for music, but I don't think in a place where people regularly study and hold book clubs that the music has to be absolutely BLASTING. My noise canceling Bose headphones barely cut out the absurdly loud music. This place leaves you feeling like you didn't get what you wanted to eat, like you need to wash your hands (as well as the bottom of your shoes), and have to bring your own noise canceling devices. read more

The staff here is really friendly and I never have to wait that long to get my order. One of them even said that I had a beautiful smile, hahha that was really nice. I ordered some pastry and iced chai latte. Waited at counter for about 10 minutes. They were busy making some other things for customers in driveway but not crowded in the store. I simply asked one of their staff kindly if they are making my latte. One of the staffs rudely yelled back to me said " that must be a mistake. You did not order. Did you even pay for that? Show me your receipt!! " Then I showed her receipt, she started blaming other staffs there, not a word of apology from her just ignoring me. I normally don't judge restaurants by one person not doing right but it was a very rude! I like their food but not i don't recommend this location. read more

There are so many good things here! The soup, halzenut coffee, bagels...it's all making my mouth water! I find this place so relaxing for breakfast...even though they do get pretty busy! Panera is good when you want something familiar and don't have to think too hard about what you want to eat. They have awesome cinnamon raisin, asiago cheese and everything bagels. Love the half and half combo - my favorite being the Mediterranean veggie sandwich and any of the veggie soups. My husband and I are also big fans of the BBQ chicken salad, although I tease him that I can recreate an even tastier version of this salad at home. They are in the process of adding a drive through at this location which will make busy weeknight dinners even better. read more

I docked a star for having a timeout for wifi that is way to short. I haven't noticed if this was all Panera Bread locations or just this one, but I don't recall having an issue at other locations. Staff were fine, plenty of seating even with the amount of traffic. read more

Panera is Panera. Food is good, staff is friendly, wifi is available. One thing I will say about this particular location is that they are very efficient and swift in making sure that the coffee is fresh. The bakery items are quality. The salads are fresh. A huge benefit to this location is that they have a drive through which makes it a nice alternative to McD and the like. I always add a bakery item to my sandwich or salad for $.99. Overall, it is always a solid lunch option that you can take your mom or grandma to. read more

Customer service here is sub par to say the least. I was never greeted by anyone nor thanked for my order. I placed an order for breakfast and was jaded a receipt with no further instructions. I love Panera but this location is a hit or a miss... I recently visited the drive-thru, earlier in the morning, being the only car in line. I ended up so disappointed in my order. My grilled cheese wasn't melted in the slightest, my baguette completely forgotten and my soup lacked it's croutons. I am so impressed with this Panera. I went through the drive-in at lunch so I didn't expect to have such a good interaction. I have many allergies so the fact that the employees not only knew exactly what was in their food but were able to accommodate quickly and efficiently while also providing good customer service and being friendly is incredibly impressive. My order was done correctly and I moved through as if none of my items were customized. I highly recommend this Panera for anyone with allergies and who is on a time constraint. read more

This location is the best of the nearby Panera's. They are accurate in putting our orders together. We go there most weekends and always enjoy the food and beverages we get there. One of the reasons we go back is the staff. In particular, a young lady named Tressa has been very friendly, helpful and professional. She helped us bring our lunch to our table because we were having trouble managing it. She is one of the reasons we always go to this location as the entire staff are great too! read more

First time a Panera Bread and for sure the last time. First off, bill came to 24.00 and change, I handed the cashier a 100.00 bill and she had to call a manager to make the change for her.....took 5 minutes at least. He finally came and gave her the change to give to me and she just plopped it into my hand, NOT even counting it back or even telling me how much change she was handing me. How did she know she had the right amount???... she didnt, so i counted it while i was standing there, pfft. Order was quick to come and I have never had such an awful sandwich ever! I have had better sandwiches from the gas station. I am sure that the sandwiches are pre made and frozen then put in a microwave to thaw then to the grill. Except that the grill marks were fake!. Not worth the price! I ordered a turkey BLT avocado sandwich and spent close to $9...the mayonnaise was not even spread on the bread, but was left in one big clump in the middle of the bread. The meat was also not spread over the whole sandwich, but instead in one big layered clump on the other side of the mayo and the avocado was brown. The bread was also soggy! If I'm spending $9 on a sandwich, I at least expect you to take the time to construct it instead of just throwing it on two pieces of bread and calling it a day. The sandwich was also really small! They should also specify on the menu if it's just a regular sandwich or panini, instead of listing them all together without any descriptions. I was under the impression (as was the lady in front of me who ordered a different sandwich) that I was getting a panini, since it was listed under paninis. Also, I went on my lunch break so I was in a little bit of a rush, and the cashier spent a lot of time holding my credit card and chatting to someone who ran in the door, cut in front of me in line, and continued to hold a conversation with her. The cashier finished her conversation (after taking my order) before she swiped my card. The conversation revolved around how she may or may not be leaving to go to a new location and that depends on the managers there and how she used to be a manager but it's not worth it and on and on and on as I'm waiting for her to finish my order so I can get my food and get back to work. As previous poster stated, they have fruit flies! My husband went in last week to get a coffee and bear claw close to closing. When the guy went to pick up the bear claw my husband notice a fly and asked for one that didn't have a bug just land on it. When he went to grab a different one a poof of fruit flies came out. The guy apologized and my husband said no thank you and what he believed was the manager came over and said "I hear we have a fruit fly?" My husband said more like an infestation. Panera Bread is my most favorite location for buying coffee and eating the selections. When ever I am on the road, I always look for a Panera to stop at. My wife was visiting her mother at a Senior Citizen home, and I went to Panera to drink my favorite coffee........Hazelnut. I would drink this coffee over all other coffees. At 3:30 p.m. I did have a little problem. No one was checking the coffee. When I went to order, I had to wait 20 minutes for the coffee. This will never turn me away from Panera, and this is never a problem. However, this is still my favorite stop. read more

From my shopping cart paypal OK, to pick-up was ten minutes, that's the time it takes to drive there anyway. Just walk in, grab your box and go! This is so easy I will no longer hesitate! We have eaten at the Panera Bread since they first opened many years ago. It's gone down hill ever since it opened. The only thing that has improved is the seating. Now, the tables are always dirty. You get about 25% less food than before and it costs about 40% more. If you get the soup it will be barely warm, not hot. If you get it in a bread bowl they gives you a lot less soup than if it's in a glass bowl. The coffee in the last year has become almost undrinkable. Its strong and bitter. A couple of years ago they couldn't keep coffee in the hazelnut coffee pot. Everyone loved it. The Bear Claws have shrunk as has most of the pastries. The egg sandwiches have gone from about 5 inches square to about 3 inches square. They can't keep employees. Every time we go in there it's new faces. Before, we would go their every Sunday morning for coffee and egg sandwiches and sometimes a pastry. Now we go to Einstein Bros Bagels. Much better food, and you get more for you bucks. This is the Panera on Ford Road in Canton. It's in front of Bed, Bath, and Beyond. They don't deserve one star rating. This was written on 10-05-18. read more
