Oh my Lort, they are soooooooo slow & cannot manage mobile and in-person orders fairly. Will go for Five Guys almost next door over this place every time from now on. We put in a mobile order from Home Depot. Arrived within five minutes. App said it'd take 20 minutes for the order to be ready. They didn't start the order until almost 30 minutes in. I quickly grabbed lunch to go at this Panera location. I ordered on a kiosk, which was simple and quick. The restaurant itself was clean. I used the bathroom which was also clean. My order was ready in about 5 minutes, which was great. The staff I interacted with were very kind. I would stop by this location again when I'm in town. read more

Panera is one our go-to restaurants; we like the variety and the freshness of the offerings. What we dont like is the saltiness and sloppiness - by the latter I mean huge sandwiches with too much emphasis on multiple dressings or sauces, plus melty cheese - hard to eat and hard on the tummy and waistline. Lately some soups that had been favorites have changed; the last few times the Bistro French Onion has been over-the-top salty, and the chicken noodle has been blah. Let's get more of an asian vibe: there used to be two asian salads, and there was a Thai curry chicken soup. yum! And I always have to roll my eyes at the adjectives. Cant you just say beef chili instead of Fireside Chili? Under no circumstances should anyone consider using this Panera Bread, especially if you want them to cater to a large group. A year ago, our organization used them to cater to an event for the same organization and everything was flawless - they delivered everything early and ready to serve at the correct time. They even offered to help clean up. It was an enormous mistake to use them this year. The food was ordered and was supposed to be ready to eat at noon. It's now 1:30 P.M. and the food has not been delivered. Because they didn't bother to deliver the food most of our members have left and Panera is claiming that they didn't have the address! We're located at a very prominent facility in Carlisle. Furthermore, they're blaming the problem on Door Dash. HOWEVER, we did not use Door Dash and Panera never informed us that that they were farming out this delivery. As this is being posted, the last of our party is leaving - and we're all very hungry. Carlisle Panera bread was such a great place till the last few times I have been there . They have homeless people sitting in there all the time eating food they didn't buy there with all their belongings laying around the restaurant. The last time I was at the Carlisle Panera, I ordered the Strawberry chicken salad. When my salad was ready, it didn't look anything like what I ordered. Instead of strawberries, there were blueberries, mandarin oranges, and pineapple. I told the MOD who made the salad that this is not what I ordered. Can't say much for service, as someone takes your order (or you can use a touchpad) and it ends up on a shelf on the other end. While they are running fairly efficiently during COVID 19 they're product leaves a bit to be desired. Typically they're bread helps complete the meal, not takeaway. It was not fresh and quite hard to bite into. My girlfriend had her order messed up as they missed two of the four toppings of the sandwich. The food tasted fine but it seems like the sandwiches have gotten smaller and the price has increased significantly. For a family of four with four drinks the cost was over $60 and the portions were comparable to any other fast food restaurant. Had them cater a family holiday gathering for under 20 people. Bad variety of mest free, gluten free and vegan choices. Just a horrible experience at this Panera. Never before was I ever served a FROZEN salad !!! From the lettuce, onions and even the egg was frozen! I also was served an apple with a soft rotten spot! Used the restroom and it was filthy, just a mess. As with many chain restaurants, a Panera is a Panera no matter where you go, and the Carlisle location doesn't disappoint when it comes to the staples of freshly baked goods (especially their French bread, my favorite fresh bread!) and sandwiches. Their combo deals are great - I typically order French Onion soup with a Bacon Turkey Bravo sandwich (turkey, applewood-smoked bacon, Gouda cheese, and a tasty house sauce on Tomato Basil bread). When you first get your meal, at times I feel like the portion sizes are small with these "Pick 2" combos, but by the end of the meal I'm usually full (and there's a nice selection of pastries for desert if you're still hungry). Beyond just the food, the atmosphere of this location is what makes this place great. I know several local professors who spend a few hours here getting work done in the evenings who are often willing to chat philosophy if you get to know them! Carlisle, PA Panera had the standard recipes down--Asian Chicken salad was same as any Panera which means light on the dressing but overkill on the fried wontons. Service was well trained. So, I order my food on the app, leave my house, drive to panera, about 8 minutes after ordering my food, i get an email from panera that my food is at the rapid pick up location. I arrive at panera. My food is not at the rapid pick up. A lady working is talking to a friend who came into the store, pays no mind to me. I'm standing around, clearly looking for my food, my name is not on the ready tab, not on the preparing tab. Then i hear a lady call someone's name at the far end of the store, not mine, but there is a bag that has been sitting there with no label since i got there. Waiting, waiting, waiting, finally they have the common sense to ask me "What's the name on your order?" I tell her my first name, she states my last name, i say yes. "Oh sorry" and proceeds to hang me my bag. Cool thanks, I only have been walking around here for 10 minutes while your coworkers dick around. Thanks.
