    Sad sandwich - Asiago

This location has gone down the hill since Covid. I ordered one of the new Asiago sandwiches online and it barely had meat and no tomato and the basil was old and crunchy. Not even close to the picture. I used to love Panera but I won't be going back.

Worst part of this panera is parking lit. Had my worst experience on Monday, understaffed and poorly trained. Food made it worth while!

Incredibly slow service. I was in the drive-up Lane for 35 minutes and there's no way to get out once a car is behind you.

For dessert, I've only had their creme brûlée; but again, YUMMY. Drinks = They have a good variety of soda, beer, wine, italian sodas, etc. Service = The waiters are always friendly and accommodating. Extra condiments on request! :) The front desk is sometimes not 100% friendly, but that's probably because they're so BUSY. Ambience = The church side has awesome ambience, although it feels a tad cramped. But it's a pretty cool setting for an italian restaurant. The "pizza parlor" side feels more spacious but also more like a typical pizza restaurant. It's fine. Location/parking = Location's near downtown but has plenty of parking down the street. They are basically kings on their block -- not really any other parking competition nearby.

What a unique restaurant... inside a restored 1888 stone church. They kept the original stained glass windows, the choir loft & the confessional booth making this one of the most interesting restaurants. The dining area was cozy - not many tables & chairs. Our table was too small for four adults with bread, apps & dinner plates. However, our server was great, very attentive. Always near to clear plates, friendly & fast service. We started with bread & Italian salsa. The bread was good but the salsa was even better. It was fantastic & full of flavor. Next, for apps we had the Meatballs & Fried Calamari. The meatballs needed more seasoning & the sauce was bland. The calamari was rubbery & chewy. The Lemon Aioli that came with it was tasty. Our entrees were the Chicken Parm & the Crab Stuffed Shrimp with Linguine & Sauce. The portion sizes were big. The chicken was prepared nicely & was tender. The sauce unfortunately was bland. Same with the shrimp dish, it needed more seasoning, I didn't taste the crab & the lemon butter sauce had too much garlic for me. Perhaps our meal was a one off. Their menu is extensive & I will give them another try...the Lobster Ravioli sounds good. Note, on the other side of the restaurant is a pizzeria, called Slice Works, with a dining room & outdoor patio. I will try this as well.

It has always offered decent service and good food, with your typical brewery atmosphere. I went with some friends yesterday, and I was shocked at how much food was cut back. I think they must have watched the episode of The Bear where the Chef is told to cut the food portions by 15%, but I think they heard 50%. I ordered one pork belly taco off the Taco Tuesday menu. While it was very good, the amount of filling was ridiculous. I would venture to say a teaspoon, maybe 2 at most. They use the street taco-size flour tortillas, and it was still underfilled. It still would have been if I had torn the tortilla in 1/2. I also ordered the prime rib eggrolls, while again good, but they were 1/4 full of filling, and most of that was lettuce and veggies, definitely gaps between the filling and the wrapper. The PR eggrolls were always my go-to because they were so good, and they always had plenty of prime rib in them. No gaps between the filling and the wrapper, as they were yesterday. I did mention it to the waitress, and she really didn't care. Otherwise, she was a fine waitress. I wasn't looking for a handout, but I definitely felt that she should have acknowledged it and said she would pass the info to the manager. I would have preferred the price to be a buck or two more than to pay less and feel like I was ripped off. I will try it again, but if it's the same I would not go back.

My wife ordered a Reuben sandwich which she very much enjoyed. Since their Pan-Fried Chicken was named "Famous" I just had to order that. Four delicious pieces of perfectly fried chicken and the mashed potatoes with cracklin' gravy was amazing. The service was fast, friendly, and efficient. Everyone was so nice and it was a wonderful experience. Side Note - My wife did ask me why I did not order the Chicken and Waffles as it appeared almost every other table had an order. They handle a steady stream of walk-in customers along with mobile orders, app pickups, DoorDash, and other delivery services. Despite the constant rush, the staff always does a great job keeping things moving while remaining friendly and professional. The service is consistently fast, the employees are welcoming, and the sandwich selection offers something for just about everyone. In a time when food prices seem to climb every week, Snarf's still delivers quality ingredients and satisfying portions at a reasonable price. I've been a fan since the early Boulder days, so it's great to see Snarf's expand into communities like Castle Rock. There's something comforting about grabbing a hot sandwich made with fresh ingredients and knowing exactly what you're going to get every time. While I'm definitely not a vegetarian, one of my longtime favorites is the Eggplant Parmesan with hot peppers. It's packed with flavor and proof that you don't need meat to make an outstanding sandwich. Another thing I appreciate about this location is the amount of seating available. There's ample space inside along with a nice outdoor patio, so even during busy periods it rarely feels overcrowded. The vibe is relaxed, casual, and unpretentious~exactly what you want from a neighborhood sandwich shop. Grab a hot sandwich, kick back, and enjoy the laid-back atmosphere. If you're looking for a reliable spot for a great sandwich, Snarf's Castle Rock is worth the stop. Castle Rock is lucky to have one~I'll definitely be back. My wife and I each started with a glass of wine, and then even though we hadn't planned to get an appetizer, we decided to order a side of bread with oil. The bread was amazing! It was a large order, and both the consistency and flavor were fantastic. There were a few different dishes I was considering, including the halibut, but since this was our first visit, I decided to go with the chicken Marsala, which many on here have raved about. First, it was a big portion with two large chicken breasts. On a future visit, my wife and I could split an appetizer or salad and then one order of the chicken. Next, flavor of everything was wonderful. Unlike a typical Marsala, which can be very heavy and overpowering, this sauce was lighter...in color, consistency, and taste. It was a perfect compliment to the chicken. Asparagus and potatoes were delicious too. My wife got the ravioli with pesto, and she really enjoyed her dish as well. Service was warm, pleasant, there when we needed it, but not overpowering, exactly what you'd hope for and expect from a restaurant of this stature. Very happy we finally got here. We'll definitely be back to try other things on the menu.
