This morning after a doctors appointment I took my mom across from the hospital for some bagels at Einstein and after looking at the app and seeing their prices, I said I need to check Panera. They're only 5 minutes away and their bagels were pretty dang good last time I checked. So I pulled up Panera and they're $4 less for a bakers dozen. Sold! Plus there's no silly upcharge for the good cinnamon crunch ones. Placed the order from Einstein Bagel's parking lot and headed to Panera. My order was ready when we arrived, I drove through and the young lady at the window was very pleasant and off we went. When we got home, we of course snagged that missing cinnamon crunch out of the bag and split it. Yes, I gave her half of the top too! I'm a good kid like that. First I have to say that I was a little disappointed the centers of the cinnamon crunch ones are not the same with that big chunk of yummy crunchy goodness in the center but I'd be lying if I said how fresh they were didn't make up for it. O. M. G. Panera! You did it, you made this girl very happy today. Yes, they're not a big as they used to be but nothing is, except for my mouth. HORRIBLE management and restaurant. Hair in my take out bag from the drive thru. Called and got the most rude and condescending "manager." Went back in and she was worse than she was on the phone. Sarah is her name. Disgusting!! Got home, saw my replacement soup bowl was only filled half way. Called and asked to speak to the general manager. Kelsey professed to be the general manager, although I doubt that by the way she spoke to me. She told me that I didn't pay for my cookie or baguette and I reminded her that I had a free cookie with an entree and I actually paid $1.99 for the extra baguette. I told her that I feel like she purposely only filled the soup half way when I returned with the hairy bag. I also told her I called corporate, to which she said, "oh! You called corporate?! I cannot help you or speak to you." And she hung up on me. What a joke of a place this is. Don't ever waste a penny on this horrible place. The management is rude, unprofessional and disgusting. I went through the drive through. The menu board does not reflect proper pricing. A 1/2 Mediterranean sandwich showed $5.99. I was charged $7.99 and did not get a pickle or apple? For a 1/2 order sandwich, one drink, and greasy chips $12.00 was steep. The bread was hard on the edges and soggy in the middle. Vegetables were limp, wilted, and unsightly. Dine-in service is open! Workers all had masks on and tables were wiped and clean. This is a great location when your having your car worked on nearby. Plenty of booth seating and outdoor patio tables. $3.50 for bagel and cream cheese. Don't know why this location is rated so low on yelp and google but as long as your not expecting Michelin Star food, this location is great. Went through drive thru. The person working was incredibly rude. They were sold out of croissants, all breads (literally no bread in PANERA), ranch dressing and then she rudely told me at the drive thru they don't do build your own sandwiches. I pulled the app up and showed her that the app allows you to build whatever sandwich you want. She then said "well we don't like you to do that." Took 20min to get one sandwich, and then it was wrong. Staff had about 8 teenagers all doing nothing while I was standing at the counter waiting for my order; texting, grinding a bread knife against the counter edge, talking amongst each other about sleeping with stuffed animals, living on the moon, playing Fort Nite, being an "ugly or pretty crier", etc. The manager, Seth completed an order that came after mine, so I'm not sure why I was skipped. Seth must be the worst manager I've ever seen. Not only does he allow his employees to stand around, cut the countertop with knives, play on their phones, and talk about nonsense while we wait 25 minutes for a sandwich. This particular establishment however, is slow, with fairly inattentive staff, and food that's mediocre. The salads - Asian and Cobb - at an unbusy time took about 15 minutes to prepare, and we're at best with wilted greens soaked in dressing. The bored looking staff were clearly not interested in taking orders but did answer questions about some of the options. However, on the positive side, the bread was fresh. read more

Ummm so $20 for two bowls of soup the size of cups is very reflective of how overrated Panera and this location is. They never have breadbowls and this was at 2 in the afternoon. I'm not a fan of Panera. But I wanted broccoli and cheese soup and they were out at Sprouts so I came. It's not bad. But Sprouts is much better and since they are about 100 yards apart, it will always be my first option. Paid about $6 bucks for an ok bowl of soup and some bread. Not bad. Could be worse. As a restaurant your only job is to provide food and this restaurant is continuously out of food every day or at least every time I thought of ordering. We have mom and pop restaurants going out of business with people who really care about their customers and their product. When you go to Panera bread and your order takes 20 minutes and then when the clerk answer your drink, it had been sitting there for 20 minutes because it's frozen and separate. I should have checked the reviews before I visited, but I eat at Panera frequently, so I didn't think it was necessary. This location is SLOW. I had an infant with me, so instead of setting up the stroller or lugging the carrier inside, I decided to use the drive-thru. From the time I got in line to the time I left with my food, 40 minutes had passed. Luckily, I didn't have anywhere to be, but be careful if you're on a tight schedule because once you're in line, there's no way out but through. Other than the slow service, the food was good. It's interesting I came to Panera and was treated so poorly so I decided to make a review and pulled it up and noticed it only had two stars made me laugh no wonder guess I should I looked at it before we came here. Sadly for the franchise the food is always good it's just the management of this location in Castlerock is what the problem is. The wait is long, the order is NEVER right, and the portions are undersized...in addition to being over priced. Today I went because I was sick and wanted to get some soup. I put in an online order for nearly $61 of food and received a bag with several baguettes and a cup of soup. I ordered a customized salad, a large serving of soup, several other things that weren't in the bag. I went to pick my order up and the cashier handed it to me and said I was good to go. As soon as I realized the order I received was wrong, I called and spoke with Nate, who said to me that he knew the soup was not in the bag but just never said anything to me or called me to let me know. All of my contact information was readily available, they just chose to not tell me and take my money instead. Don't waste your time or money here. Terrible customer service. What's happening at Panera? The Quick order doesn't work, the employees aren't engaged, the food is bland, and during COVID I'd think they want to do better work!! I've made 3 On-line orders and none of them were ready when they should have been. Yesterday the order wasn't ready for 30 minutes. I went inside and asked where it was?
