Decided to stop by for dinner and pleasantly surprised at how amazing our dinner turned out to be. First time here after a lot of anticipation for us, and honestly, I was a bit disappointed. I'll give it a 4, since my daughter seemed to really like it, but I wasn't blown away. First, this place is small. Maybe six tables total. All were full when we ordered, so we ended up by the front windows waiting for something to open up. A table did, so we got to sit before our food came. Having looked at the menu before getting these, we wanted to try a few different things. The Xiao Long Bao soup dumplings were probably the highlight of the meal. The pork dumplings were fine, but I'm not sure if any flavors particularly stood out to me. My daughter really liked her beef rice bowl. I thought it was fine and would probably get that if I go back. It was better than my Rouzao Noodle Bowl. The ground pork wasn't my favorite, it didn't have much flavor, and the noodles were hard to eat. I added a bit too much chili garlic, but at least it had flavor at that point. I am so happy to have Dumpling Kitchen in Castle Rock. Great food, flavors, consistency and service! My favorite dish is the wonton in chili oil - I could eat that every day, it's so perfect! The seeds were removed and came with a sesame dressing. The cucumber strips were crunchy and bite sized. My husband gobbled his pork dumplings and I tackled the shrimp.
