I got off the plane and had about 1.5 hours until my flight home. I hopped on the Panera Bread app and place my order for a salad. When I got to the restaurant I realized they had Pepsi so I did a separate cash order for a drink. I waited roughly seven minutes for my lunch which wasn't bad! The staff were friendly and made sure I had napkins and plastic ware in my bag. And the salad was fresh and delicious. I will grab a meal here again when traveling through Charlotte! read more

They have six touchscreen's to order from, the one for this to the right closest to the bank of america ATM does not work when you try to tap on it. I ordered my food and waited in the area for my name to be called. I ordered a Greek salad and caprese sandwich. They were both as good as they always are. The salad was fresh, lettuce had a nice crunch and had just the right amount of dressing. read more

I'm giving two stars because the iced tea is tasty and cold :) This Panera could do better especially because of a prime location at the airport. It is located right at terminal E. A little flowers, cheery decor, or energy would help brighten the area. Despite the sign encouraging people to order on the app for faster service, most did and it wasn't. I was saddened to see that no sodas were available for the sip club. Also, large cups were not available. Both of these cheapen the restaurant in my opinion. It appeared as if more staff were needed so maybe that was part of the problem. However I heard no apologies, thank yous, or even saw smiles. I had 30 mins to spare until my boarding began, and there was absolutely no one in line when I walked by, so I thought I could get a quick order in and have time to eat it at my gate! I was horribly overestimating their capabilities. The cashier taking my order was the only kind employee. First impressions of storefront weren't great though. While the design seemed new and cute, I noticed their fridge to-go area was very scarce. All the water bottles that should have been stocked there were crowded along the counter space, looking very shabby and wasting what could have been cold water. Once I ordered, the cashier had talked to the staff (2 of them) at the kitchen window waiting for orders to come out, and the two staff members gave her attitude and did not respond to her. They were also dressed in street clothes, although black clothing, did not seem like they were at work. I waited more than 30 minutes for my food, and the entire wait, I see people in the kitchen just standing and talking. The staff waiting for orders was on her phone the entire time. There was no urgency and I didn't even see anyone working except to take more orders. I was late to my boarding and didn't get to eat until after takeoff. I never review airport food establishments, but felt the need to after seeing such low ratings on this one. There are 2 Panera Breads located in this airport, so if you place an online order, double check it's the closest one to you, or else you'll need to take a 15-20 minute walk (yes, this airport is huge!) I placed an ASAP online order of Green Goddess Chicken salad with extra veggies and a cup of Cream of Chicken & Wild Rice soup. It was ready within 5-7 minutes! i saw a few reviews saying that the order takes a while - as soon as you get the email/notification that it's ready, head to the front and double check on it. Mine was ready and just waiting on the counter. I have nothing but positive things to say about my experience! They added ample chicken and veggies to my salad, I also got 2 free bread slices, and redeemed my first time member reward of a free chocolate chip cookie! read more

Very rarely do I get what I ordered (some sort of variation or just plain incorrect) and very rarely is it on time. Prepare to wait an extra 10-15 minutes after it says it should be ready. Decided to get something here while I waited for my flight home. First the workers need to . pay more attention to their customers than to their cell phones. When you go to work, the operative word is work. It's not about you playing on your cell phone. Should have read these reviews first! First, got irritated that it take over 10 minutes to make a simple BLT. They weren't that busy. Lots of employees there, but seemed like only one actually preparing food. Everyone else walking around but not doing anything. Finally got my sandwich, walked to my gate, open the sandwich to absolutely no bacon on it. Kind of the most important part of a BLT!!! Worst experience ever. Waited 20 mins (from 1:30-1:50) for my food along with at least 10-15 other people. They're super short staffed and not cognizant of what's going on. My order was sitting in the window with at least 5-6 other orders for what seemed like 5 mins (probably 2 mins) because the register person was in the back. Finally he came out and passed them out. Once I finally found a place to sit and eat, the sandwich was not cut in half and it was in the wrong bread. I order the bacon turkey bravo sandwich all the time and noticed right away that the bread was not correct. The bread I had was sourdough versus the tomato basil bread. I ate it because I was hungry but wish I took a pic. Anyway I'm fine now that I ate but awful awful experience due to the wait and the order being off. Also! Terminal E is not the best. There's a lack of places to sit and not a lot of options for food. I had to find an empty gate to sit and finally eat my food. I originally arrived in terminal D and food options looked good, so I thought I'd head to E since that's where my connecting flight was. I wish I had eaten at terminal D because there were a lot more options for food. I have been here twice in the past two weeks in both times they have been incredibly rude. Employees obviously do not want to be there.

If I could give less than one star I would. The employees are distracted with each other, not paying attention, somehow they can't print a receipt with a price on it for anyone who needs it for work. I grabbed a Greek salad from the display and brought it to a cashier. She rang me up and I paid. When I looked at the receipt, I saw that she'd rung me up for a chicken wrap. I pointed out the error. It was an honest mistake -- the cashier seemed a little inexperienced. What was dishonest was the manager (owner?), who overheard me pointing out the error and piped up, "A salad is actually more expensive than a wrap -- you should grab the salad and run!" And I almost did. But instead I returned to the salad display and saw that the manager was straight up lying -- the salad was actually about five dollars cheaper than the wrap I mistakenly was charged for. No apology or even acknowledgment from the lying manager, who saw me getting a refund from the cashier after I insisted on a correction. read more

Can I give it a zero? It took forever to get the order. There was no time to check it. Then when we opened it, we discovered we were given only 3 sandwiches, rather than the 4 we'd ordered, and all but one was wrong. The Caprese sandwich was pitiful--barely any cheese. Like many of us that spend time in CLT, I was super excited to get another good food option on this side of the airport, and Panera is a tasty choice! However, I'm not sure if it's the management or what--but the staff at this Panera consistently just don't really seem to care about customer service, expedience, or anything really. Don't get me wrong, the food is typical Panera fare and is good quality, but most of the time the staff even refuse to make eye contact, and the general sense is that they just don't care anymore. I love Panera! This place is pretty good. Aside from airport prices I cannot complain too much. The service is consistent. Nothing overly indulgent but still nice. The atmosphere is awesome, but that's expected since it is in an airport. It's also fairly clean as well which I thoroughly appreciate. The food is good as well. I've never had any issues with Panera until I came to this location at E11 in CLT airport. I placed my order at 7:25ish pm and the app notified me it would be ready by 7:37. I got to Panera at 7:30, waited a little no issue. 7:45 comes and I get an email from Panera stating my order was a little behind. Again normally not an issue but on the order screen it showed my name and that the order was ready. So I asked the manager about it, just because I was a little confused, and he said that if you order ahead on the app or use the kiosks, it automatically places a 10-15 minute hold on the ticket before sending it to the kitchen. That has never happened to me at any other Panera cafe, not even the one at DFW Terminal A does that. I ended up finally getting my order around 8:05pm. It was definitely frustrating for it to have taken that long, and for this location to for some reason place that long of a hold on the order tickets when I've not experienced that at other paneras. I was not the only one this happened to, and it is something i Hope they improve on, because Panera is a good place to get food usually and their service is normally all around top notch. read more
