If you're looking for an okay cup of coffee for a quick pick me up that isn't supporting a big corporation, don't hesitate walking 3-4 minutes from TSA PRE, or about 8-10 minutes from regular TSA. While the coffee is poured straight into a plastic cup with no ice and a splash of almond because they don't carry oat milk. I still believe this is a better cup of coffee than Starbucks or Dunkin. My iced latte was on the bitter side but ultimately not bad for a 5:30 coffee when all my go-to spots in Charlotte are closed. read more

This was the perfect stop to get a little work done during my layover at the Charlotte airport. I love checking out coffee shops when I travel, so it's always a wonderful surprise to find a local spot inside an airport. The atmosphere was pleasant, with plenty of tables available for me to set up and work comfortably. My caramel latte was delicious -- definitely a highlight! Unfortunately, my experience was dampened by the interaction I had with the person working behind the counter. She just wasn't friendly, which was disappointing given the otherwise great setup. Had a layover at CLT airport and needed coffee. I had honestly resigned myself to going to Starbucks or something similar because that's all I'm usually able to find. Was super excited to find CommonSpace because a good coffee was what I was really feeling. Located in Concourse D right before the connector to Concourse E. For an airport, I was so impressed. They have a great menu selection, and the coffee was so good. The mocha was rich, and the coffee had great flavor. And even the prices were better than what I would've expected for an airport. Got me my drink pretty fast so I could head over to my gate. They have food if you're looking for a snack or a meal. Sleek design, a bit nicer than what you would expect to see. Great service, and very good coffee! I was so pleased with the vanilla oat milk latte that the gentleman behind the counter made for me. He knew exactly what I wanted. It's funny because all I asked was, "Do you have any specialty coffee drinks?" It's just that the coffee menu seemed very basic. He knew where I was going with that. Then he proceeded to make my latte after asking if I like vanilla. I trusted him completely. I didn't even mention that I like oat milk. It was so intuitive. The latte was perfect! They serve Counter Culture which is a local Durham coffee roaster. I can totally see why there is a long line during the early morning hours. I missed getting that good cup of coffee the first time I passed through the airport on my way to Montgomery. I didn't make that mistake on the way back to Tampa. What is so cool about this place is the sitting and working area. It's so comfortable and hip, with cool music. It's a coffee shop during the day, and a bar at night that serves cocktails. The CommonSpace is conveniently located in a corner spot before E gates and on the way to the D gates. This location used to be a very busy Starbucks but it looks like they've recently changed it to an eatery/bar called the CommonSpace. I stopped here on a Saturday morning in hopes to get a quick bite to eat before my flight out of the D gates. The egg white, mushroom, swiss on a croissant was very appealing to me but unfortunately they didn't have it in stock. I instead chose to go with a cranberry muffin which wasn't great. They did warm it which was nice but in doing so it kind of had an oven taste to it. Hard to describe specifically but it took the flavoring of whatever was cooked in the oven prior. There menu was nice. Breakfast, lunch sandwiches, coffee, cocktails, beer and wine. I didn't try any of the drinks. I'm a tea drinker but didn't see any options for tea (also didn't ask). I'd be interested in coming back and trying their breakfast sandwiches in the future. read more

Great coffee, overpriced food, good vibes. Honestly, some of the best roast I've had as far as coffee goes, really nutty somewhat chocolaty notes. I got a vanilla latte half sweet. The chicken blt was disappointing for $14. Premade and heated up in an ovan, so the lettuce is steamed and the tomato's are more of a marinara sauce. Servers were nice and friendly and the chairs are super comfy :) I had a 3 hour layover so it was a nice spot to waste some time. They've got good bops from all genres playing and the people watching is superb. read more

The cappuccino was excellent but the service could have been better stocking the manager working the register was exceptional unpleasant. Will I stop there again when flying through Charlotte? CLT airport lit this place up for vegan options, so I stopped in after arriving at a D gate. Latte with oat milk, fine, I always love having Counter Culture coffee when I'm in NC. Saw on the menu there is an English muffin with JUST egg, red pepper pesto, and provolone cheese. For sure the cheese is vegan right? On a JUST egg sandwich? So I asked the server at the register, so you know if that's vegan cheese? "no I don't, they come pre-made". Oh great! Do you have a label I can look at, I need to know if that's real cheese or vegan cheese. "no, they just come in a package and we warm them up". OK, I decide to order anyway and peel the cheese off if necessary. Sit down to find the nutritional information and there is no website, no nutritional information, seems to be no record of this restaurant at all other than on the Charlotte Airport website. I can't emphasize how dumb this is and also how dumb it is to have a sandwich with JUST egg and potentially non vegan cheese. So bottom line - the coffee was great and ready quickly, the sandwich was fine but the English muffin was chewy after sitting for about 2 minutes while I was searching for nutritional information and I had to gnaw it off like a dog chewing at an old shoe. Lesson reinforced - when airports say they have vegan options, they mean the Naked smoothies available in a bottle in front of the register. Lame. It's not that hard to cater to people with food allergies! Do better! And educate your employees on the food. read more

The posted menu prices do not match what you are charged. When I asked the service about why I was overcharged, she told me that the price on the register is correct, not the price listed on the menu; the manager refuses to change it even after they've told him/her to do so numerous times. This is an illegal practice in NC and I recommend this place gets its practices in order before overcharging more customers. read more

I discovered this coffee shop on the way from one terminal to another in Charlotte airport. It was about 8a but this shop was such an inviting space with fun music playing somewhat loud (just perfect though if you're in the mood!) and people ordering and drinking coffee. Mine was really good with oat milk as they serve local Culture Coffee. I felt the need to sit down and work from the space since it was so lively! Ended up working there at a small table (free airport wifi) for about an hour and I'm so glad I did. Service was quick and friendly, Apple Pay available and the coffee came out quick. They have food also so I'll be stopping by again during my next airport visit. It's near the mall section of the airport. read more

Coffee is better and cheaper than Starbucks, but the best part is the playlist! I've only ever had the coffee so I can't speak to the food. They also have espresso martinis on tap!
