That is the way it should be. Don't the customer ask the price (esp if you are in business of customer service). When the hostess seated us she wished me happy birthday. The waitress also told me to save room for apple pie and their special cinnamon ice cream. What a nice treat! It was delicious. But then again everything was delicious. We had the smoked seafood appetizer- wow !!! Loved it. For my meal I got one of their seafood specials: grouper served with green beans and mashed potatoes. Fabulous! My husband loved his meatloaf. Personally I would prefer a PBJ sandwich over meatloaf but hey, his meal. I hadn't noticed previously that they have 2 bars. They are back to back. One can sit at bar for dining too. Our server Abby was amazing!!! She was so kind and helpful. Very patient with us. We were slow to choose what we wanted. Everything sounded so good. We settled on the clam chowder for an appetizer which we both just adored and the house ground meatloaf for our entrée which we shared. We each got a huge piece of meatloaf and some mashed potatoes and summer squash. There was a small plate splitting fee, which was absolutely appropriate. My wife and I agreed it's probably the best meatloaf we've ever had. Delicious!!! Abby was kind enough to gift us a piece of apple pie with the first taste of cinnamon ice cream either of us have ever had. It was made by a local creamery and was divine. We are still talking about that ice cream. The interior seems rustic, like an old Irish or English pub. So very cool. What a lovely experience and a total gem for anyone who lives in the area. It is tucked away in cottleville and is like dining at someone's home. The host and hostess were warm and welcoming! I'd also recommend waiting for a dinner when you know you're going to love every single course, only because the dinners are quite expensive. We recently went to their white truffle dinner and had, hands down, the best dining experience of our lives. Show up early--I believe you can get to your table an hour before the dinner begins--and let their talented team craft you a cocktail. From there, you can definitely expect top-tier plates and expertly-paired wines. Truly, it's just a delightful experience from beginning to end. It's in a weirdly large building that looks like a place where you'd go to get lasik surgery. I visited after a run on a day where the heat index was like 109, so I didn't spend that much time inside, just enough to drip sweat all over the front counter and the floor in the vestibule. We sat outside in an area that seems like the place where you'd pull up and unload your luggage at a hotel. A member of our group says she once attended some sort of Xmas pop-up in the basement here where you were charged a cover and then expected to pay for drinks and pizza, so... uh, caveat emptor. We ordered at the little bar up front, but I'm not sure if that's also the case if you dine inside. These places always flip out when there's umpteen different people ordering separately, because they only have but so many of those numbers you set on the table so they know where to bring your food. It ended up not being an issue with us, because who else was going to engage in al fresco dining during a heat advisory? This place serves pizza, but it didn't look that good in the few photos I saw. Granted, food often looks like crap in Yelp photos. Also, there's an emphasis on '90s-style health food, organic ingredients and what have you. There's a Salmon BLT that's featured prominently that seemed like it might be the thing to get, but I didn't know enough about this place to be ordering fish, and I'd already been meaning to eat a bacon cheeseburger for the past several days. Maybe next time. There is no bacon cheeseburger as a separate menu item unto itself. I figured I might just order a cheeseburger and add bacon, but I'm not sure if that's an option, and this wasn't a regular cheeseburger. It had a few different weird cheeses on it, spinach and maybe some other things. Then I saw the Dill-bert, which seemed like it might be really good. It has, among other things, dill Havarti cheese (whatever that is), avocado, and of course, bacon. It's served on a wheat bun, which, whatever. Its name is not a tribute to Scott Adams, as far as I know, but this is Ballwin. The Dill-bert did not disappoint. No Diddy. The beef comes from one of those special farms where the cows are all given names as if they were human beings, groomed on a daily basis by trafficking victims and read bedtime stories, and you really can taste the difference. It's a better quality meat. It's also expertly prepared. It's well-seasoned and cooked until it develops a nice char on the exterior. It was a bit more done on the inside than I require, but that may have been unavoidable. For a side, there was an option of tater tots cooked in an air fryer, like if your mom was feeling lazy. I didn't see any french fries, but maybe I'm going blind. I ordered a side salad, which is my thing these days. Sometimes they're surprisingly good, and a french fry is a french fry, unless you're at McDonald's. This one was pretty good, but it was definitely on the health-food side of things--very fresh and lightly but sufficiently dressed with something citrus-y and not too oily. Oh, and I was duped into purchasing a whiskey sour slushie. It just seemed like it would be so refreshing. It must have cost nearly as much as my meal, given what my bill came out to. They must think I'm a sucker. Did they receive advance notice of my visit? It did kinda hit the spot, and I probably got drunker than I would have otherwise, because I was suffering from a minor heatstroke, so there was that.

The pan fried option is nice with a little crisp but I think the OG steamed is best. We also liked the spicy wonton noodle appetizer. We got one fruit tea and one milk tea - both were good! At that price point, I expected something much closer to what was advertised. I'd encourage the restaurant to update the menu photos and description to "taco" so future customers know what they're ordering. When I called, I was offered a refund only for the $6.89 shrimp upcharge, which didn't feel right given I couldn't eat the dish at all. I won't be ordering the Folded Flat again, but I hope this feedback is useful for others and for the team.

While the women's bathroom is clean and nice, it would be pretty tight for a wheelchair user. The staff here is very friendly and helpful. The food is of good quality but sometimes our order has been inaccurate, with missing the rice crispy treat a few times. This visit everything was accurate. It's a good choice for vegans as they offer tofu or meatless dishes.
