    Turkey Spinach Artichoke Flatbread Sandwich
    Allison W.

Always happy with my food here- whether it is a breakfast sandwich or lunch flatbread, soup, or pizza. Great for breakfast or lunch with friends, or for a quiet single table to get some work done during less busy times. (The lunch rush can get a bit crowded and you might feel like you are camping out.) Outdoor seating for nice weather days. I like to order the turkey spinach artichoke flatbread. The pizza is made with the same type of flatbread crust and it is also fresh and amazing! Several friendly staff taking orders at once so even a line that looks long moves fairly quickly. The baked goods are another reason to stop in. Amazing pumpkin bread! And while the cookies aren't my favorite- they are always soo pretty!

    Strawberry cheese Croissant

I asked the lady what's their best selling bakery item and I went with the strawberry cheese croissant and I ordered a 12oz Carmella. The Carmella was excellent with the caramel flavor to my latte. The croissant was flaky which is nice. The cheese and strawberry topping was a little light on flavor. I was wanting cheese flavor and strawberry flavor to stand on their own. Very clean restaurant. The vibe of the restaurant is friendly and personable.

I popped in here after traveling all weekend and wanted something fresh and green. I love a good salad but found it hard to choose since there aren't any descriptions on the menu. I could totally be missing a supplemental handheld menu, but I remember thinking this before when I've been in during previous visits. I went with a choice that I knew I couldn't go wrong with, the Greek salad. It was definitely fresh, loved the big chunks of feta and the tangy dressing. It was a simple salad I could make at home, but that's the nature of the kind of salad. Their baked goods always look delicious, and the coffee was fresh and good as well. This place has a lot of regulars and is a neighborhood favorite.

What a happy place! I love the open concept of this bakery and cafe, and the service is super speedy! Their glass display of desserts makes me so distracted in the best way possible! Overall, the prices are reasonable, and you can probably spend a lot of time in here enjoying the family friendly ambiance and food.

Yum! This place has the best bakery items and bread. For instance, their Blueberry Sour Cream loaf is phenomenal. It's also a really cute place to eat at, their lunch is affordable and quick. Check it out if you're ever in the area!

Last Saturday I went to lunch with a friend. I have been coming to Daily Bread for decades starting out when they first opened up in University City over 40 years ago. I experienced a " freak accident". As I was pouring my cream into my very hot coffee at the coffee station something exploded at the coffee bar and spewed all the burning hot coffee on me and a metal lid from the lid dispenser exploded burning my forearm and soaking my silk top. It took what seemed like a long time for someone to even come over to help. One of the workers noticed the issue and brought some cold wet towels. Then a pastry chef finally came over to make an incident report and said something happened on the other side of the restaurant before but no one was there when it exploded. He insisted on giving me 2 pastries and said the owner would reach out to me on Monday. I am very disappointed that today March 30,2025 is one week later and the owner NEVER reached out to me. Thankfully the burn did not blister. It was a very painful few hours. My silk brocade blouse/jacket were stained. I am appalled that no one reached out to me. That lid container that exploded could have just as easily hit me in the face. What makes you think it's okay not to have reached out and explain what the issue is that you have things pressure exploding in your restaurant . Paula Sigel

Seasonal grilled cheese with ships. Notice the size difference

We stopped here after church to grab something lighter than what's around. Soup and salads sounded good and we were hopeful after seeing the crowd. Lots of parking and the interior of the place is cute and clean. Lots of subway tiles and black metal fixtures. Order was taken quickly and we grabbed a table to wait for our name to be called. Food was ok, but everything seemed a bit off than what we expected. The "pick 2" on the meme was for a full size sandwich/salad and soup. Not sure that our salads were the full sizes. Broccoli cheddar soup was luke warm, pretty thin/runny and had as amp shredded carrots as it did broccoli. Caesar salad with tomato? Cobb salad with mushrooms? The chicken on the Cobb salad was clearly precooked, and was dumped on top, as I pulled the pieces apart, not very appetizing. The seasonal grilled cheese was the most consistent thing that we got, but it was fairly tiny. The little bag of chips that came with it made it look even smaller. Place was packed with the after church crowd, and they seemed to be doing a good business. Not sure that this is a place we will go back to again. Felt like a more toned down version of Panera food.

Was there on a Friday around noon, a lot of people there. Service was good as you stand in line to order and then call your name when the order is done. I had the ham, ell and cheese on a bagel and it was tasty about the right size. I had a fruit cup as a side, some of the fruit was not fresh. It was a struggle to find a table. Overall a good place for breakfast and lunch as they have a lot of choices and a lot of bakery items. Atmosphere was nice although a little to noisy for me

We were driving thru St. Louis en route to Arizona and, with a long drive ahead, wanted to meet our daughter for a quick breakfast as she happened to be in the St. Louis area to visit a friend as well. We identified Sunny Street via Yelp (duh) as a convenient place to meet, and boy were we not disappointed. Shout out to our server (name unknown) for pushing me to order more than I needed so I could taste the pancakes because that made the meal. To start, daughter and her friend both ordered the hearty breakfast with chocolate chip pancakes. Both enjoyed their meals, and said the pancakes were great. Wife ordered the same but with plain pancakes and liked that as well. Her bacon (which of course she didn't finish) was terrific. I was torn - I really wanted the country omelette which is basically the western plus sausage gravy with a biscuit but the bananas foster pancakes sounded so good. Our server convinced me to just go nuts and order the omelette and add half an order of pancakes. Her upsell training was on point, because the add wasn't cheap but indeed I needed to taste them. And like I said . . . . Best. Pancakes. Ever. The omelette was great. The biscuit was just ok. The pancakes were indescribably amazing. And I've had my fair share of pancakes of all types shapes and sizes. These are #1. Service was great, the restaurant is in a nice strip mall in a good area of town. It was busy but without a wait around 9:30am on a Saturday. If I lived in St. Louis I'd return often. Probably too often. This is a highly recommend.

Within minutes, Mary, my server, came and greeted me. I gave her my entire order ( big bite breakfast: scrambled eggs with cheddar cheese, peppers, and spinach, sourdough toast, fruit, and chicken sausage, and a Bellini. To my disbelief, everything arrived within minutes! Trust, I was not complaining! The first couple bites of my eggs were quite splendid! They were cheesy, and filled with plenty of spinach and peppers as I had requested. I loved that the sourdough wasn't rock hard and already came buttered. That will forever be a win in my book. Usually I'll put some type of syrup on my meat, but the chicken sausage was fine without it. It had a nice flavor and was well-seasoned. Last but not least was the peach Bellini, which wasn't too sweet, but was refreshing and the perfect accompaniment for my breakfast aside from the water. Overall, I really enjoyed my first visit and must highlight the exemplary service from Mary and the staff. The quick turn around and good food sold me, so rest assured I'll be back!

I also love that this space aims to provide front/ back of house skills for adults with intellectual disabilities. We went in the afternoon, so a lot of bakery items were sold out (good sign). They had full size gooey butter cakes and pre wrapped items ready to, so definitely keeping that in mind. They also had their famous smile cookies (I've been eating them since I was a kid). They have a full ice cream bar in here (had no idea) which is great to add to the sweet treat line up. My coffee was great (iced latte) and the service was also good. And I don't remember what I had, lol! I liked it and I'll return to update this review if I remember what it was. A few of the employees -- people perhaps in their early 20s who did not appear to take their jobs as seriously as the cashier -- were engaged in a private conversation behind the counter. The cashier and customers had to wait a moment to get their attention about a menu item that had been discontinued, though the online menu we found had not been updated. We had a group of 8 people. We sat upstairs. I wasn't all over the setup of the space. Perhaps half of the seating is upstairs and the stairs have a bend/turn. The person bussing lost control of the tray. From what I could see, in her attempt to regain control of the tray, she fell and broke something or some glass cut her and she was bleeding quite a lot before she left for treatment. I think smaller trays may be in order, or a dumbwaiter, or perhaps an employee with better upper body control could do this task. Between that and a comment said by one of the waitstaff that I prefer not to repeat, I am hoping I caught them on an "off" day. We need more businesses like this one. The food was good, too, so I will return.
