The food was absolutely amazing in a cozy yet upscale cottage ambiance. Many simple classics made with produce from the farm which equals a fresh wow factor. The fact chef takes his time to serve drinks and food was a very nice touch. Disappointed two items which should have come out warm arrived cold, including our soup. I left very satisfied and full, but my husband left still hungry. I'd say each course came about 30 minutes after the next and by the time the next course came he was starving. Everyone is served at the same time so their is definitely no chance in "rushing" the tastings. Hard to pay a hefty price for dinner and still need to get food on the way home. If you are an early to bed person or have something to do early the next day, this is not your place! We weren't expecting a 4 hour dinner....I think we were ready for bed by course 3 to be honest.

We love dining at Stone Soup during their special brunch and dinner events. The food is always amazing as well as the service. We love the ambiance of the old farm house and grounds and it's always decorated so beautifully for the season! I would highly recommend going to one of their events and don't forgot they have an amazing wine selection!

We have been trying to get a reservation for months and when we saw that they were closing, we were devastated! Thank goodness they opened back up for seasonal dinner series. I recommend following on instagram. This is where they post when their tickets go live. We attended the Spring Dinner series. They also offered a Parisian Brunch but that was sold out. There were 5 courses total and each were great! The wine pairing was exquisite. You can tell it is a family establishment. The chef's wife was the Sommelier and their son and daughter were the waiters. The chef personally came out with each course to explain the dish. The vibe is cozy and romantic. We can't wait to try the brunch!

Stone Soup Cottage is a delightful dining experience. Every month the menu changes. Located I believe on a farm, we almost passed the place up. I'm not too familiar with Cottellville and I'm pretty sure I just misspelled it. It looks as if it's in an old home but I think building is new. No matter, it's very charming and would be a great place for an engagement party or special event. They have a large patio that I can imagine would be great when the weather permits. The night we were there, it was hot and only early June. They have a very large gravel lot so no problems with parking. The menu is 6/7 courses. Sorry, it's been a while. Check the website for the current offerings. Everything was really good. The chef delivers most of the food and explains it to all at the table. If you like, you can order the wine flight which is a separate charge. I wouldn't pass this up as the wines were very good and well paired with the food. A separate server served the wine and answered questions. They do have a full bar with drink specials. We had Champagne at the beginning of the meal and there was no extra charge. If you have a special occasion and want something different, try Stone Soup Cottage. Make reservations early as they sell out!!

Okay so I have been dying to visit this place. Jeez is hard to get in. We made reservations more than 3 months in advance. But the wait was so totally worth it. Stone soup cottage is tucked away in Cottleville, down a winding private road. At the end of the road is a parking lot and stone soup cottage. It is a dimly lit farmhouse style venue large wooden doors and panels and understated elegance. I didn't get many pictures because it was so cozy and it seemed like a shame to click away and spoil the mood. Long story short, they have a 6 course menu and amuse bouche with a complimentary glass of sparkling wine with an option to get a wine pairing with each course. They also have wine, beer and cocktails. The place setting is formal and with a multitude of knives and forks, the portions are small and perfect and the leisurely paced. It is a very enjoyable experience . It is unlike any meal I've had in years. The food was delicious but I won't go into details because the menu changes every month. It is a truly wonderful and luxurious experience for a special occasion with a special someone.

I attended a wedding here. I loved everything about it. The service and food were unparalleled. The ceremony was outside, and the setting was very pretty. The atmosphere inside is warm and comfortable but modern. I loved the colors and the decor. The tablescape was simple but really elegant. We had a five-course plated tasting, and each course was delicious. The smoked mussel chowder was probably my favorite. I had a glass of cab, which was great, but they had paired a Bordeaux with dinner, which was even better. The bread was also excellent as well. I wanted to use it to sop up my soup and sauces, but the butter they served with it was so good, too! I didn't order any cocktails, but others who did said they were all great. The service was excellent. They very much go above and beyond to ensure a wonderful dining experience. I think if they didn't have something you wanted, they'd probably go out and buy it for you. Probably one of the best dining experiences I've had. The couple who got married are super foodies, and it says a lot that they shelled out to have their wedding here.

    Great presentation.

Cottage to Carriage was an excellent experience! She crab soup was amazing. Braised Beef Rib was fall apart tender. The Ginger Gateau with Lemon Curd was heavenly. Along with the bottle of French wine the meal was superb!

First of all, great environment, offer inside and outside seating. The drink selection were amazing, their mojito was so fresh and delicious. For the dishes we ended up with the risotto, the Yukon potato, and the spicy shrimp pasta. Honestly it blew me away. The flavor and taste was right on. For people who likes more bland and simple taste it might feel a little overpowering but for someone who grew up with Asian seasoning and flavor it was like heaven. I will be back many more times because I would like to try everything on the menu and I will be inviting everyone I know to try as well! Service was great, you can tell staff are busy but they are very attentive, parking could be a little tricky but there are many places you could park down the street or just in parking lots behind Main Street and just walk to the place. Highly recommend!!!

Adding the dip on top made it more of little pizza bites instead. Table favorite! Rigatoni alla vodka is my favorite pasta and I've had it at multiple establishments including my own kitchen and this one wasn't anything special. I actually couldn't taste the alla vodka part at all. It really just tasted like cheesy pasta with salmon. No real flavor. I guess that's why it's not listed as a crowd favorite. Ambiance is low lit and in the main dinning area, it can get really loud so if anyone is hard of hearing, it's best to get a reservation outside as it was difficult for one in our party. It didn't help that our waitress would step two steps back away from our table and let other waiters and waitresses pass in front of her instead of behind. Street parking is horrendous but my in-laws were able to find a spot right out front. We opted for the parking lots in the back as we don't mind walking a bit. It did rain a bit but we had an umbrella.

The vibe is so relaxed and welcoming, our waitress, Alana. was caring, upbeat and recommended the BEST food and took great care of us. Let me start by we came in to late to get the crab pretzel appetizer which was sad, but we sooo are coming back for that and some bourbon- great selection on the wall, but that's another post later .. back to brunch. We ordered the special for breakfast, steak and eggs. My husband got the Crabby Benny. Not sure who is in that kitchen but give them some slow claps for the perfectly cooked 8oz filet and perfectly seasoned crab cakes! not sure how they make perfectly cooked, crispy and seasoned potato's ! The only reason I didn't do a full 5 stars was due to the eggs on the top of the benny, they started poached, but by the time we got them to the table they were hard boiled.. but the crab cakes delicious flavor made up for it! We also got the rack house bloody Mary's with the pepper infused vodka- great kick!! Totally recommend- forgot a photo! We will come back later for the blue oyster nights coming up, or the whiskey Wednesdays or Wellington nights!

Visited for the first time in 3 years, and the best things on the menu were in the antipasti section: the focaccia and the polpetta. The focaccia was delicate, served warm with an abundance of olive oil. The bolognese combines a great mix and tomato, herbs and garlic, but the cream may throw people off. The meatballs (spaghetti and meatballs) were hit or miss - the same plate had 1 flavorful meatball and 1 bland meatball . It wasn't really a hit today, but it's still a nice place to sit down and grab a quick bite.
