We visited today, a Sunday morning around 10:15 AM, just to get a coffee and cinnamon roll before heading to watch an indoor soccer game. I really dislike leaving negative reviews, but I will cut to the chase. After getting my coffee cup, I went to the self serve coffee area. My first choice was their dark roast coffee. The dispenser was completely empty. I pivoted to the light roast and also added some of their decaf. I discovered that both of these were lukewarm at best when I got to the car and took my first sip. My partner had ordered a Chai Latte, but gave up when the barista walked away from the counter without any explanation. Instead, she asked the cashier for a to-go cup and picked the light roast coffee also, so she had lukewarm coffee as well. All three of these workers were pleasant, but likely understaffed, which I guess is the norm these days. So 15 bucks for two barely-warm coffees and a day old cinnamon roll. read more

FYI This Panera restaurant is at 8420 Winton Road in Cincinnati, OH, but I don't suggest that you ever visit it now or in the future. I stopped by here (my suggestion) yesterday with a friend and was almost embarrassed with my choice. The orange scones looked good through the windowed case at the front register and we chose that option and could NOT have been more disappointed...extremely dry (baked too long or maybe yesterday's baking?), crumbling into little pieces when cut with a knife. Where was the expected moistness? But...that was not the only reason I would never return nor recommend anyone to this venue. When we approached the young woman behind the counter to order, she seemed to be almost "sleeping while standing". She kept turning away from us and was having a convo with another employee behind her. She spoke much too softly...was that a mumble? We asked for 2 water cups and were handed a small tray with plasticware and a scone. After I paid for our food, she turned away to return to her convo with the other employee. We then walked back to the "drinks" machine and realized we had not been given the water cups. I went back to her, interrupted her "convo" and took the cups...no apology was offered for her forgetfulness (but I guess she had something else more important on her mind)! Upset with our earlier reception, I looked for a place to set down the tray to fill our water glasses and lost the plasticware to the floor and the scone to the immediate countertop. The manager was within earshot, so he came to the rescue and called for another tray while we filled our water cups. It was a minute later after he delivered the tray that we noticed we had only one fork and no knife and called out to the manager. He left and reappeared with another fork, but no knife. Advised, he left again and returned with a knife. I did take a few seconds to let him know that his employee at the register was not very attentive to us...sleeping? I heard no apology, but dismissed the lack of one to get to the scone. We probably should have reported the scone, but decided we'd wasted enough time for the day. Again, may I repeat, no recommendation, and I'd rate them at -10 if it was on the scale! read more

We visited this location for dinner around 6 and it was very dirty. There were only a few items left in the bakery which was a disappointment. We got soup and salads, they were fine however the bread was stale. There was trash on the floor in multiple spots, tables were not wiped down and the booth walls were filthy. After receiving an e-mail practically every day from Panera marketing about their "free 3 months" of coffee subscription and living less than 5 minutes from a Panera, I thought sure, why not! I'll give the subscription a go. Today was my first experience getting my coffee perk and it was NOT good. I arrived at this location at 8:00am. A customer was already at the counter waiting to be helped. 5 minutes pass. A few workers have passed by in the prep area and we were not acknowledged. A third customer arrives and heads to the rapid pick up area and does not find what she is looking for. A few more minutes pass and finally a worker comes out and asks what the first customer needed. He was there for a rapid pick up and it was not in the rapid pick up area. The worker helps him and it takes a couple more minutes. Finally, after 10 minutes pass, I am asked what I needed. I tell her that I have the coffee subscription and would like to get my coffee. She asks for my Panera card (I don't have one as I signed up online). I tell her I don't have a card. She asks again. I said I don't have a card and that I signed up online. She asks for my phone number and hands me a hot coffee cup. I state that I wanted an iced coffee, so she hands me a plastic cup and says it's self serve and points to the pop/tea area. I walk over and fill my cup with some ice. The iced coffee was empty. I walked back to the counter and told the lady that the iced coffee was empty. She asked me again, it's empty? YES. She walks over to check like she doesn't believe me. She takes my cup and fills it up in the back all the way to the top. I head to the milk/sugar area and the milk was EMPTY. At this point, I've been here over 15 minutes and I'm frustrated. I leave. I'll use my own milk at home. You would think that a restaurant notorious for breakfast that they'd have it together at 8am with workers at the counter, coffee items filled, and apparently rapid pick up items ready when customers arrive. Worst service I have experienced in years. Came to Panera, as food is always good, however never expected the greeting we received. Upon entering I saw a sign for the teriyaki chicken & broccoli bowl. Sounded great and ordered from Sha'mere. She respond, "don't have it" while checking for something else as my wife ordered, she stared at me and seemed extremely put out that I couldn't make up my mind. Panera has quite the reputation for its quality food, and we weren't disappointed. Shame on the manager for allowing this employee to have this attitude towards customers. Guess it goes without saying she didn't thank us when we're done ordering. While my wife was waiting for my food, the employee dropped a plate on the counter and walked away. I went through the drive thur during the morning. Ordered a bagel, fontega chicken panini, and smoothie. I got through the ordering process fast as there was not a line. It took awhile for food to come up. Staff was friendly. When I got to my location to eat my sandwich for breakfast, I noticed that although the panini looked grill on the outside it was not heated on the inside. The cheese was not melted and the sandwich was cold. I had to heat it myself. The bagel was soft and tasty and the smoothie was good. I go to this location often. Covelli Enterprises--Seek New Management for the Finneytown Location I used to work here, but in the time since service has gone downhill. My mom went in at 7:00 one day and the entire staff was in the parking lot--when she couldn't find anyone inside the restaurant, the enrire staff was socializing by their cars in the parking lot and asked "do you want to order something," and then came inside to take her order. Another time in the past couple of weeks, I ordered broccoli cheddar soup for a pickup order, only to find that they were "out" of broccoli cheddar soup (I was still able to order it through the app, probably do that it wouldn't affect their order "fill rate." For all I know, they may have had some on the drive through line and just lied to me). I used to work there, so I know there's no excuse for that since all you have to do is keep one or two bags in the warmer in the back (out of the freezer) and it's important to do because it's the top selling food item. Another time, a week ago my wife came in and ordered a smoothie, only to find a small knat on the lid of her drink. This location has gone downhill and clearly has a management/staff problem. I don't know the current manager, but I can tell they aren't doing a great job. I'd like to see new management so the restaurant can be a place I like to go again. I eat at Panera all the time because it's one of the only places I can get something healthy on the go. But I have to say this Baja bowl was very disappointing. I got it without chicken and avocado. The photo is what it looked like when I opened it to get ready to eat it . I couldn't believe what I saw when I opened. I will NOT be ordering this again. If you want a bowl save your time and money and go some place like Currito to get more bang for your buck. I sure wish I would've. Be careful eating at this location. All the tables that I chose to sit at were dirty and food was on and behind the seats. Two young workers were just standing around. That says to me that there is no COVID-19 cleaning regimen there. I asked to speak to the manager and this little timid elderly lady came out. Fantastic and friendly service with an extremely convenient drive-through. We enjoy how the menu changes for seasonal soups and sandwiches. We look forward to the fall squash cream soup or the spring vegetable choice for a sandwich. Unfortunately, our last visit revealed that when ordering a bowl of soup, the quantity of soup you receive is about the same as a cup of soup (see attached photos). I don't eat at Panera very often because it seems way over hyped and over priced for what you get. Whenever I do go back, the one thing I enjoyed on the menu has been taken off, in this case the four cheese and tomato panini. The closest thing to it is now a "grilled" cheese on white. My mom carried out and brought me the grilled cheese and it was one of the worst I have ever had. It is made with thick bread and little cheese, so it comes across more like a bread sandwich. Also, it is not a traditional grilled cheese that is pan cooked, but I'm guessing with a panini as it had panini press marks. It tasted like butterless, dry toast. Yuck. Additionally, I had a cup of French onion soup that had plenty of flavor and onions and came with a side of croutons and French bread. It did not come with any cheese. I don't know if this was an oversight since this was carryout, but having cheese is a main component for French onion soup. I added my own cheese at home, which is kind of annoying since the sandwich, soup and a cookie cost about $15 and the sandwich went in the trash and the soup had to be doctored. read more

My name is Grant Turner and I visit Panera breads throughout the Cincinnati region depending on what location I'm in when I have a desire for Panera Bread . Today at 6:45 PM I placed an order for a gallon of green tea as well as a glass of green tea as a result of being a member of the ship club. I recently had a hip replacement so when I was coming to pick up my order, I went through the drive-through , I told the young man that I just recently had a hip replacement and I wanted to come through the drive-through window so I would not have to walk and he told me I had to walk in. I told him that I've done things like this before, and he insisted on not giving me my products, and I would have to walk in, so I said OK told him I wasn't happy about it but I would be on my way in anyway and as I'm pulling away from the speaker, I hear the employee that I was talking to as well as other employees inside the store laughing at me this is very disrespectful. I am a great customer of Panera bread. Yeah, ask any of my coworkers or anyone who knows me, but this treatment is on justified and in my opinion very poor service And I will not ever be back at this Panera bread again all the other stores. The employees are really nice. You could see that they are trained well. FRESH! You may not want that attitude from a person, but when it comes to restaurant food, it's mandatory. And Panera Bread, the national chain soup, sandwich and pastry shop has fresh in spades. They bake their own bread and pastries. They prepare the soup on site, they slice all the meats and veggies themselves. These are all things that come out in the taste of the food, which is some of the best you'll get from this type of almost-fast-food establishment. I recommend the "You Pick 2" meal where you choose a half sandwich and a salad, soup or mac & cheese. On my last visit I had the Turkey Bacon Bravo sandwich, smoked turkey breast, applewood-smoked bacon, smoked gouda cheese, lettuce, vine-ripened tomatoes and Panera's signature sauce on our freshly baked tomato basil bread. D-LISH! For my side, I got the BBQ Chicken Salad, "chicken raised without antibiotics, romaine lettuce, roasted corn, black beans and frizzled onions tossed in BBQ ranch dressing, then drizzled with BBQ sauce." I thought I'd try it to have something different, and what a pleasant surprise. It was a pretty hearty salad in a fairly nice portion. I could have had it as my entree without the sandwich. EXCELLENT! The soup selections rotate in and out so there's always something new to try, but I really miss their corn chowder, which I've had only a few times before it disappeared from the menu, never to be seen again. I wish they'd bring it back. A bonus for me is that they have iced coffee as a regular beverage--same price as any other fountain drink or iced tea. I like that a lot. The drinks were put so poorly into a drink carrier that was too small that I took two steps into my apartment with them and they spilled fell out of the drink carrier ruining my hardwood floor. As Panera's go, this one is right there in the middle. It has all of the bells and whistles that come standard for this chain and the food comes out usually as advertised. If you go in the evening, be prepared to hear "we're out of that." I have to say, if an item is one of the 800 listed on your regular menu, it should be available. The soups running out make sense-they even put it on the menu that once it's gone, it's gone. But bread? The word is in your name. And if your biggest sell is a soup and sandwich combo, you really need to make sure the bread is available. This Panera is fine. The customer service could be better, but overall it delivers what you came for-just be sure to go before 8pm. read more

Had a very bad experience here with the night crew. We have a peanut allergy in the family and asked nicely if they could change their gloves, and this is what we get on our receipt. "Change your gloves or she will kill you". On top of that we had to change what we were wanting since they were out of alot of ingredients. Steak for the steak and arugula sandwich.
