Just like the other comments, my order is NEVER correct. I stopped going for this reason but was told they had new management so I decided to give them another shot. I ordered a salad and made sure to take off the bacon in my order and also write it in on the comments. Despite that, my salad arrived WITH bacon and WITHOUT the hard boiled eggs which they did not even mention when I picked up my food. In addition to that, the bread offered as a side was rock hard. This is just one of many instances where they have messed up my order. Also, when I called to speak with a manager about this ongoing issue the female that answered the phone went on to say "I am the manager, what do you want?" Absolutely absurd. Never going back. This has got to be the worst run Panera I've ever been to. They can NEVER get my order right. I order a half Fiji apple salad and a bagel, pretty simple. Nope, they first tried to give me a bagel and Mac and cheese, then just the bagel. We finally sorted out the order and I got home to find that my salad was a full sized one, which I was charged for and it didn't have any apples, it literally had a bunch of tomatoes. The apples are the reason I ordered that salad. This is just one of the incidents where they have screwed up my order. They also have a problem with how the food tastes. One day I ordered a sandwich and the bread was completely covered in salt. Another time I ordered a muffin and it tasted like chemicals which really concerned me, maybe they sprayed cleaner on it when wiping down the counter, but I definitely don't think it was safe to eat. I love Panera and especially like the Tomato Mozzarella flat bread. This location is busy, has always gotten my order right and the food quality is consistent. Two improvements could be made...1) It is FREEZING COLD. I am a hot natured person and "too cold" isn't something I've ever said about a restaurant until now. My guess is that it's about 65 degrees in here. Bring a sweater regardless of the outside temperature, and 2) They always seem to be out of cookies, so I rarely can buy one, even though I would every time I eat here. I always go through the drive through and order pretty much the same thing every time. The employees are always SUPER nice and friendly :) the food, however, is hit or miss :( they forget my side item a lot, and one time they didn't put any chicken on my chicken salad! First, watch out where you park! This place looks like it's in your standard strip mall, but the bank next door will tow your car in a minute if you park in their lot, which is a continuation of the lot for Panera. There is one small sign warning people, but unless you space is right in front of that sign, you won't see it., It cost my friends an extra $130 for their lunch--which wasn't any good. This was my first time at Panera (and my last), I ordered one of their "premium" sandwiches; Baked, Turkey avocado bacon and cheese on Sourdough bread. It sounded delicious. I was expecting a HOT sandwich with crisp strips of bacon and melted cheese on some nice sourdough bread. What I received was a cold MIXTURE of tasteless turkey, small pieces of soggy cold bacon and Bread that was damp and fell apart when I picked it up. Real sourdough bread would not do this. I did not finish the sandwich, I brought it home for the dogs. The Cheese Danish I got was very good. Maybe they should just stick to pastries. read more

I love Panera in general. When I got here in town, to me, surprisingly there was no Panera, and I didn't like Blue Baker much.. So, I was and am happy that now, there is one in town. However, they consistently have Not-a-good customer service. This store has been in town for about couple years. I don't think they need more time to settle in and get the system rolling. They consistently forget to bring a drink with the order to the table. It is often the customer, I, needs to get up and walk up to the counter to ask for it. If they are not going to do it, please let the customer know ahead of time. They often burn sandwiches, panini, etc. It is very unpleasant to find out burnt food when I get home with a take-out order. Their service needs improvement. A little bit of an update: I sent a feedback via Panera Bread website to share my unpleasant experience, and I got a reply with a following quote, "This location is owned and operated by a franchisee who's partnered with Panera Bread." So, it may be that the service was not trained directly by Panera Bread, and it could be the reason why their service is not up to expectation.. May be I am totally wrong. read more

Paid about eleven bucks for a you pick two with a chipotle chicken sandwich and a chicken tortellini alfredo. The quality of the sandwich and pasta was much lower than expected. The sandwich was on the small side and the chicken covered only about half of it. The pasta was basically cafeteria food - tortellini with a cheese sauce dumped on it and what looked like chicken from a can. The food didn't taste bad, but it was a disappointing experience and not good value for money. read more

Have consistently gotten my order wrong every time I have been there. There have been missing items, ingredients I specifically asked to be left off still on there, and just now on the turkey sandwich I ordered there was no turkey! Service at this establishment gets worse and worse every time I go. Save your money for McAlister's. EDIT: Today I started eating the salad I got with my sandwich yesterday. There was A STICK in my salad. Until today I considered giving them a second chance. Not now. No amount of "free food" will change my mind about coming back. If they got the food I paid for -- the original incentive to get my order right -- wrong, what evidence do I have to convince me they'll get my free food right? And if I complain about that, they'll dismiss me as "difficult" and have an attitude as if to say "Why are you complaining? It's free?" I will not be returning to this Panera Bread location until it's Yelp rating has risen a substantial amount. I ordered a Pick Two, To Go. 1/2 sandwich + chipotle mayo, 1/2 salad, baggette, chai tea latte w/light ice. --Cashier was ditzy and I mentioned my Panera Bread and handed it to her. She returned it to me with my cash having forgotten to enter my Panera Card. -- Gave me LESS than half of a sandwich with NO mayo of any kind. -- Forgot to include my baggette -- Forgot to make the chai tea latte (It was all milk and ice) -- COLD baggette (Like it was in the refrigerator) -- Yellow lettuce -- Grungy employees needing customer service training The African American chef was nice and gladly gave me an extra piece of bread. I was leaving the store when I realised I didn't have my chai tea latte or baggette. I asked the counter girl about my drink and she said "I'm sorry, I forgot. I'll check it out". I have been eating at Panera restaurants all over the USA for the past ~7 years, and this is by far the worst Panera I have been to. They have been open long enough now that all the kinks should be worked out and the employees around be familiar with the job duties. Here are issues I have encountered at this location recently: 1) The cashiers do not EVER give you a cup for the beverage you order. In the ~10 times I have ordered a drink, 9 times I had to remind the cashier to give me the coffee or soda cup. 2) This morning while going through the drive through, I ordered a sweet onion and poppyseed bagel with regular plain cream cheese. The person taking my order told me they were out of regular plain cream cheese. Seriously?!?! How does a bread place run out of regular plain cream cheese. She then offered the reduced fat one to me instead, and I said yes. Well, upon arriving to work to eat breakfast, I discover NO cream cheese in the bag. What good is a bagel with nothing to put on it, especially since I PAID for the cream cheese. This is on top of me ordering a coffee with cream, and given black coffee. I was NOT a very happy camper this morning. 3) On another occasion I was given the wrong bagel through the drive through. 4) The place is always FREEZING inside. My soup gets cold almost instantaneously. 5) The paninis are always soggy on one side 6) Multiple times I have ordered chips as my side and am given bread instead. This place seriously frustrates me. There have just been way too many order mis-haps for me to enjoy this particular panera. But I still love their food, so maybe i'll be willing to give them a second chance, but they need to train their employees better. Really disappointed that the quality has dropped so significantly over the years. I hadn't been in quite some time so my husband and I decided to order online and pick it up last night. Even with a printed out order in front of them, they couldn't get our order done correctly. My husband brought the bag of food out to the car and when I looked inside I saw that half of our order was missing. He had to go back in to get it and even then when we arrived home we realized that they forgot the bread to go with his salad. The salads were totally underwhelming. My husband said that his salad tasted old and mine was pretty unappealing as well. Against my better judgement I had gotten a salad with an egg on it. I can only assume that egg is what has haunted me all night. I have been feeling incredibly sick to my stomach and spent the night curled into the fetal position. I ordered food at the driveway for lunch, and had to repeat the order a couple times to get it corrected. No big deal. But then I opened my sandwich and immediately noticed what looked like a beard hair in it. Soo, I got in the line in the restaurant to take it back, and was greeted by a man with a full beard, who asked if I wanted a new sandwich. I said "No, can I just get a refund?" So I waited for a manager to do the refund, who turned out to be a young guy with a patch of hair on his chin. Welcome new chain to CS. The inside does not feel welcoming, more cold, does not feel like some other panera. The outside is the typical crappy college station boring landscaping, unoriginal. Take out real trees so we can put in sub-par crape myrtles, line parking lot with boring bushes, and cypress trees that die-suffer in heat and drought and never make real shade trees-ever. I ordered the roast beef full and full french onion, but since it was 1015am they did not have the soup ready. SO I do a salad. just a review from an ex-associates point of view....DO NOT EVER WORK HERE. managers are horrible. scheduling is done by an idiot who doesnt look at anyones availability sheet and schedules people whenever they think its right. managers will treat you worse than the equipment they use. they say "no late work hours" but really you will be there until midnight. closing is also so horrible in a way that they let most people go home except a few to close and the few are left to be miserable. the managers and owners do not really care too much about sanitation and they themselves sometimes will make food without gloves on. they also lie alot in a way that if you complain they say they will solve the issue yet they never do. and they also overschedule everyone and sometimes will just send random people home because of bad scheduling. i am not the only one who feels like this. since training many people quit because of this. if you like the food as a customer, great. but just dont work here unless you want to feel like someone owns you instead of you working a job. read more

Let me start out by saying that I LOVE PANERA BREAD. I do, I really do. It was my favorite sandwich place in college. Their food is delicious and I recommend it 100%. BUT. the one in College Station is THE worst Panera I've ever been to. I've waited thirty minutes in the drive-thru line. My order is right about 50% of the time. If you don't check your order you may end up with something that is definitely not what that you said you wanted. One day I ordered a Mediterranean Veggie sandwich and without asking they put mustard on as a condiment and used wheat bread, which was basically taking away everything that makes the sandwich taste good. Every time I come here I seem to be missing something. Two weeks ago, I went and ordered a "choose two." I got a soup and a sandwich in the drive-thru, and when I go home I noticed I didn't have my sandwich. Upon returning, the staff acted unhappy to give me my sandwich that I had already paid for. A week later, I came back to dine in. This Panera closes at 10 pm, and it was 9:30. I realize that's closer to closing time, but we planned to eat quickly. Once we told the staff we were dining in, they said it "was not allowed" and we had to get our food to go. So, we reluctantly agreed and waited for our food. Once again, they got my order wrong. Except this time, they gave me a salad instead of a sandwich. I asked them for my sandwich and instead they sighed angrily and asked if I could still eat the salad. I said no because that's not what I ordered, and then they finally decided to give me my sandwich. I am extremely unhappy with this business. Personally, the only reason I keep returning is because I'm busy and it's close to my house. Also, it never has a line. Now I see why. read more

The general manager at this location is the rudest most condescending person I have come across in a customer service position. I ordered bread on the panera app to be ready at a certain time and it was never even baked. All I got was excuses with no apology whatsoever. I can't even explain how upsetting it was to have a conversation with this man. I feel sorry for his employees, no doubt they are treated equally as poorly. Best salads in town and very friendly staff! I went for the first time since I've moved down here and was presently surprised by everything. They have many vegetarian and vegan options. All you have to do is ask and they customize the salads and sandwiches to your liking or diet choice. You can go online to see what salad dressings and breads are vegan friendly! NOPE. she asked the staff about having her meal with bacon taken off, after asking, the staff laughingly told her all the food was prepackaged and could not be altered... not something you want to hear when you're coming to eat. I love Panera in Houston, but this location can't get an order right! I keep trying because of the food, but even if I just order a breakfast sandwich to go, they give me the wrong one. My order has been forgotten about, it has been bagged to go when it is really for here, and if I ask for an apple I am always given chips by default. I love the bagels and pastries at Panera, but using their catering for an office breakfast event left me very disappointed in their customer service. I tried to use the on-line form to place a catering order. When the website didn't work, I called in the order. The young lady who answered the phone did not know how to enter a catering request and had to go get help. Once she knew how to enter the request, her attitude and level of customer service was not acceptable. When I arrived the following morning to pick up the order, no one knew about the order and it had not been filled. The manager was standing right there listening and did absolutely NOTHING to help. He didn't even offer an apology. Eventually someone found the order and began to fill the order almost 20 minutes AFTER the scheduled pick up time. My low rating is for poor customer service. read more
