Easy to order and staff was friendly but had to repeat my order. My yearly reminder to skip Panera and get better food from a local place. Wanted to check out the new menu pick 2. Soup and sandwich; and I also had 1/2 Greek salad. $21. The salad was wilted iceberg, literally 1 piece feta, soup was standard, the cheesesteak was actually decent. But those items are not worth the $21. When I asked if drink included in the pick 2; the guy making the food had a snarky reply. The place was clean, points for that. But what is the incentive to go here? For a chain, it's not bad but it's pricey as expected but luckily I had a coupon and I didn't want it to go to waste. However, this may be my last visit not unless I get a coupon again... lol. Like things that look like they've never been cleaned. I frequently go to this Panera location and while the food is good the front counter staff constantly has made errors in my order. This time I ordered a blueberry muffin and the cashier rang up a blueberry bagel instead. Also, I ordered a vanilla cold brew and the cashier rang up a vanilla almond cold brew. I asked how the cold brew was prepared, and if I needed to order with milk and I was told it was prepared with it, then when I picked up my drink it was black. The preparation staff were friendly and corrected my order. Please just double check your receipt before leaving the cashier. read more

I was surprised how quickly and accurately our orders came out, despite there being eight other people ahead of me. Food was tasty and fairly portioned (who doesn't get peeved when their soup is a good inch empty?!), and when there was a moment of order confusion, they took care of it easily. On Sunday I took my 12 y.o. Daughter up for breakfast after a motorcycle ride. We ordered a couple of steak and egg sandwiches. The girl taking our order was SO quiet I couldn't understand her. When presented our sandwiches the eggs were almost RAW. I ask to have them cooked longer. When we tried them after that clear egg whites and yokes ran out down our hands...all's they said was "sorry". So we threw them out and left. Upon entrance I get a wonderful view of delicious pastries. One pastry ring looked so scrumptious almost as if it was calling my name and home it came with. The hottie behind behind the cash register will forever be in my memory. He was able to swiftly create my order with no mistakes. However I was not asked if I wanted a bakery item. Went to store with a $25.00 gift card, girl at register screwed up lost my gift card and (Tim) the manager made it worse. Manager did total new trasaction, i told him you just messed up my gift card, he wanted me to stand there on phone a call the, after watching everyone else get order and pay for their food. So i used my regular card, he over charged me for to loafs of bread when i only had one. Tried resolving issue with Panera customer service, told me they would pay, after i sent Panera my receipt and my credit charges. Now they want more detail for $25.00. Give me a break. I was down in Danbury for business and our company placed a mass order online from Panera. I don't usually order from this place but I rolled with it, hey, I wasn't paying for it so.. These guys were great. Getting a very large order correct and hot simultaneously takes skill and these guys were 100% perfect. I was duly impressed. One thing I will say though is if you order online and you go to pick it up yourself be aware that the drink orders will just come over the line as generic "soda" or "iced tea"..no one really knows if you ordered a Sprite, or a Diet Coke..or a whatever.. so unless you want to play "Fountain Drink Roulette" you're going to have to keep a running tally. They're out of flatbread to make the sandwiches we ordered. One person taking orders with a big line. I normally don't review fast food oriented restaurants too often, but I felt like this was one of them that needed it. I like Panera Bread occasionally, I really do. Their broccoli cheddar soup is one of my "go-tos" when I have a cold or a stomach bug (pho still kills it for the number one spot, just saying). I've been to the Brookfield location plenty of times for both take-out and dine-in. Place was always clean, quick/efficient, but also super busy, which is fine. I showed up at this location around 12:30 to grab a bite before I had to head back to class and was literally there forever. The line was about eight people deep when I walked in with one cashier, ONE. It's lunchtime, one of the rush hours of the day, at least throw someone else on a register and start knocking the line down. I worked with it though because I had no idea what I wanted. I ended up with the thai chicken flat bread since it was too hot for soup unfortunately. I waited for my food for about 15 minutes and literally saw people behind me in line getting served their food before I did. I figured maybe it took longer for a flat bread sandwich or something. Eventually, it came out, however very disappointing. It didn't really look appealing at all, or even full I might add. I opened up the sandwich and it was lacking quantity, quality wasn't too far behind either. It honestly just tasted like every other "run of the mill" Thai sauce, which is commercially served pretty much anywhere nowadays. I was starving though, so I smashed the sandwich and chips without any question, but was still hungry afterwards. Insanely unsatisfying. The tables here were also filthy. I had to clean my own table before I sat down because it was covered in lettuce and chips. Not my biggest concern, but still pretty disgusting. I probably won't be back, maybe just for the Whole Foods next door, but even that's a stretch. I'll stick to the one in Brookfield if need be. read more

I really didn't want to give it 2 stars, but this Panera seems so off from others I've been to. It's the closest one to work so I stop in every day for coffee and a snack. Most of the time there is nobody at the front counter and it could be minutes before someone shows up to take your order. It also seems to be a training location as the employee turnover is noticeable, even for someone who has only been coming for a few months. They don't run the food to your table like the other Paneras I've been to, so you get a beeper and have to get your own food. So, while I enjoy their food, the service is spotty. read more

Update since last review: I just keep finding more and more things wrong with this location. I went in today for an Asiago Demi roll and was told there were none left (at 5:00 pm) but then noticed an entire rack of freshly baked bread behind the counter. I asked if there were any Asiago Denis there that I can have and the associate said, "Sorry, those are for tomorrow." Wait? What?! Not only do they bake the bread for the next day, almost 15 hours before they open on that day, they are willing to turn away a customer and not sell them what they want because it is for tomorrow! What kind of business is managed that way?! I'm surprised that Panera Corporate has done something about this shit store! read more

This Panera bread sucks. Plain and simple. I've given them multiple shots because I live close to them but they never fail to disappoint me. Every time I go they don't have many things on the menu. They usually have one soup out of all the options they have listed on the menu. How can you NOT have broccoli cheddar as a Panera bread? Their customer service sucks. The tables are usually dirty. Being that I use to live in the area, my wife and I would stop by this place frequently. I would say within the year that we lived there we must have ordered between 20-40 times, AND every one of those times our orders were wrong. 1. The people who make the food, LOOK MISERABLE. So miserable that they glance once at the ordering machine and half ass every order they make either messing up the order on purpose because they don't care OR from not paying attention. 2. I've seen employees standing in uniform and all listening to music with headphones in their ears while singing and dancing to God knows what, while completely ignoring everything that's happening around them. One employee had his music so loud I couldn't even get his attention. This has happened more than once which goes to show that the management does not care or knows that they are doing. The bathroom was out of toilet paper and hand paper towels, an indication that it wasn't being serviced regularly. We could dine inside but no effort was made to space out the tables. I'm a frequent visitor at another Panera Bread location but had to stop here as it was closer to my school and immediately noticed the difference. Didn't notice much of a difference in the food itself but after seeing the amount of filth in their seating area, it's left quite a bad taste in my mouth. I needed to find a seat to eat & study, which at first seemed easy since every table was practically open (first thing in the morning) however, I still found myself scurrying from table to table as every seat cushion or table top was covered with dirt. The floors were also inexcusable. I would understand if it was middle of the day but this clearly was left from the night before which means the cleaning was completely disregarded. I now can't imagine what the kitchen area must look like. Needless to say, I will stick to my usual Panera location and will not be returning here. read more

With the location in Brookfield, I was a little surprised to see this newer one open up earlier in the year. I`ve been to a handful of Panera locations over the years, with the first one I visited being in the Pennsylvania area and still my favorite one. Early into the visit, I could see what others mentioned in posts, it is not kept neat and clean. There were a couple tables that still had dishes on them, areas on the floor were dirty, which is certainly not pleasant to see. As for the food, the pastries we had were decent, a bit pricey. The coffee was good and much needed for our morning. Overall, it is by no means a spot to make a special trip out for. But, if you happen to be shopping at EMS or the other stores in the plaza and want to grab something quick, it could suit your needs. read more
