Tonkotsu Ramen Noodle Soup with shrimp and extra egg add on
    Allan Q.

For the price, it's probably one of the better offerings at the mall food court, and definetly better than the mcdonald's that used to be there. I ordered the to go on the kiosk to see how it would come and everything was very securely packed! Even the lid of the smoothie! I noticed that there was an area to sit but it's a group of two tables with chairs sat right up against each other so unless you have a party of 4 you're better off sitting somewhere else. I got my food relatively quickly, and the number system they have makes it very easy to know when your order is ready. The smoothie I got had a good consistency, and the added fruit jelly's not only tasted good but are properly sized so you can actually get them with the straw. The ramen packed alot of noodles, the broth was good, and they know how to do their eggs very well! The only thing that could've been better was if they made the tonkatsu a little bigger because the strips they give you are very thin, but for the price and location it's definitely a top contender in the mall food court.

12.24.24 I hadn't previously known about this great find until I came here for a Yelp event. A great find indeed. The food here is amazing. It's very fresh and very tasty. It's worth your repeat trips back here like i have done. The spot is located inside Danbury Fair Mall so it's not a big place. It is the prefect size for what they do. If you happen to need more room or there's too many people inside you can out to go out into the food court and find somewhere else to sit and eat. There are plenty of tables and chairs just outside this place. Their service is quick, prompt and very efficient. They've even been as quick during busy times at lunch. The page itself had many opportunities for photos for here on Yelp or IG. They aren't much on conversation but that's fine for this type because it's a quick pick up & go. They aren't rude at all. Just super efficient and that's a fantastic problem to have. Right? They know their craft and they do it well. They are like a well oiled machine. Taichi puts out a great product. I've stuck with their poke bowls but I'm looking to venture into some of their other options shortly. The prices are reasonable and in line with other poke places I've been to in the Connecticut area. Their food also looks so esthetically pleasing. It's very vibrant and bright in the restaurant which is always a plus. They have nothing to hide. They do an amazing job and they should be proud. Their staff are well trained.

I had the pleasure of attending a Yelp Elite event at Taichi Bubble Tea, Ramen, and Poke Bowl in Danbury. It is located at the food court, next to the carousel. The bubble tea was a standout for me - perfectly sweet and refreshing. I got make your own poke bowl. I opted for the three protein bowl. It was fresh and packed with a variety of tasty ingredients, making each bite a delight. The staff were friendly and attentive. They even have self order kiosks. Making ordering easy. Overall a very clean place and easy to find. Lot of seating spaces available. I will definitely be going back there.

I stopped at this boba shop doing work for the mall. The manager was so friendly! They have so much to offer here it's not just a boba spot they offer food as well! I did end up getting a boba drink here and I loved it! Peach fruit tea with strawberry boba and I loved that it wasn't too sweet but just sweet enough! This is definitely a must try boba spot if you're at the Danbury mall!

Tried their popular bubble tea for the first time. Got the strawberry flavor with a scoop of pearls. The drink was actually very good, not soemthing i would get all the time but definitely a nice treat. I also got their chicken taichi rice box for my meal which is a solid deal at $12. It came with a good amount of chicken, vegetables, and rice. The place was a little packed when i went but the service was excellent and got everything out within a reasonable time

Food is decent but ordering is slow. Order menu screens are down to one screen for weeks causing lines.

The development there has come a long way over the last few years, making it a great destination for a quick lunch or a sit-down dinner. Plus, having plenty of parking in a modern, well-maintained square is a massive win--no circling the block looking for a spot here. While the name promises "Bao," I haven't ventured into that side of the menu just yet. Why? Because the Ramen is too good to pass up. The Meat Soup (Ramen) is my go-to. The broth is rich, savory, and clearly made with care. It's the kind of "fantastic" comfort food you want on a chilly Connecticut day. The meat is tender and the portions are satisfying. If you're in the Oxford area and looking for authentic flavors in a clean, modern setting, this is the place. It's easy to get to, easy to park, and the soup never misses.

We came on a cloudy Saturday afternoon after lunch in the area and were hoping for a nice spot to just sit and catch up. I got a Yuzu tea while my friends got a matcha latte and we got a strawberry cream tart to share. The Yuzu was fragrant and the tart was nice and light, exactly what you'd expect from an Asian dessert -- "not too sweet". When we were done, we happily perused all of the goods in the store. They had so many different Japanese offerings, it was so nice to see -- ceramics, teas, snacks, cooked food, etc. There was SO much, and on top of that, they seemed to have almost all of the Harney & Son's offerings, including the special edition teas like the Death of the Nile and Murder on The Orient Express. I was super impressed by this little shop and can't wait to visit Stamford again to explore more of the goodies.

The Japanese ladies who work there--handling product quality, food preparation, and…read moremanagement--work very hard and always welcome me with a smile. The spirit of "ichi-go ichi-e" (treasuring each moment as unique) embodies the beauty of "wa" (harmony) rooted in Japanese Zen philosophy. However, now that the store has become a massive chain, the employees (local part-time or temporary workers) can't even say hello or offer a simple "thank you." They just toss food and items into paper bags. In the worst cases, even when they have a free hand, they won't even bother to put items into the bag for you (much like the self-service at many local supermarkets). They don't ask if you'd like chopsticks, and they remain so unfriendly that customers have to pack everything into the bag themselves--they do nothing until you specifically ask for chopsticks. Can this really be called a Japanese restaurant? Given my position, I'm quite particular about discipline and manners, but I rarely reprimand people I don't know. However, since the situation was so bad, I did speak up--but they must have held a grudge, because their attitude has been even worse ever since. I want to eat delicious food, but I believe the true beauty of Japanese cuisine is only realized when you not only taste the food itself but also appreciate the elegance of the tableware, the pleasant atmosphere of the venue, and the "spirit of hospitality.『Omotenashi no Kokoro」 It's truly disappointing.

I arrived on a Sunday afternoon in search of nourishment. I ordered a non alcohol cocktail which was not only beautifully presented, but tasted refreshing and delicious. I also had the spicy miso which hit all the spots: warm, flavorful, fresh, and so nourishing and comforting. I consumed all of the broth and was able to get additinal broth to take home with my leftovers for $7. Service was so friendly and accomodating...so great to have such a level of attentiveness and genuine good service. Excellent staff. The entire place, including the restroom was super clean. It was a bit too warm on my vist (but super hot outside), but that aside all else was super. Plenty of parking and also outdoor seating. I will be back for sure!

Not only is the food awesome - I ordered a ramen, plain hot dog, and halo-halo shaved ice (addictively good) - but bonus stars to the staff who were sooo sweet! The Hawaiian style shaved ice and home-made ice cream are top notch. The ice cream is rich and delicious, with some unique flavors, and the shaved ice is very fine - fluffy and evenly slushy in texture and sweetness, unlike the inferior versions where you run into bland chips of ice. The toppings are yum too. The ramen noodles are springy, settled in a savory light broth. For a non-prestige grade ramen, I have no complaints. I also want to acknowledge the lovely hospitality. My child was in a tantrum-y mood and went to sulk by himself in a corner. Seeing the pouty little grump in a small fit, the girls at the counter coaxed him over with ice cream and stickers, which he of course eagerly accepted, pleased by the attention and confection, and was soon back to his endearing self.
