Haven't been to Panera bread in a few years, so I decided to get a bagel with the asiago cheese. Big big big disappointment. They use to bake them with real cheese on the outside and it would have chunks of cheese you could break off the edge of the bagel. It doesn't look or taste like it used to! It appears like they added cheese flavoring because there was hardly anything on the bagel. It was like eating a big plain bagel. I ordered thru the drive-through which only took about 30 seconds to order. Waited at the window for over five minutes to get a bagel that's sitting on a shelf! I'm thinking that Panera bread can be taken off my list as of places to visit. I'm truly disappointed! read more

So, I wish I could give them negative stars. After last issues they gave my husband a free soup and a free sandwich on his points card, so we decided to give them only last chance to redeem the two free items. Well, I ordered a Mediterranean, with no feta cheese, on wheat bread, and I got the 10 vegetable soup, it was supposed to come with a baguette. The sandwich, when we got home, was on white bread, it had feta cheese on it, and for some reason they decide to add mayonnaise. Mayonnaise does not come on that sandwich. They forgot the baguette and the soup was cold and only half full. Well, it all went in the trash. Never, never will we ever spend another dime at this place. The bathrooms are so nasty. I felt like i was waking into a barn with the smell. The music playing in the background combined with the smell of dead bodies made me sick to my stomach. 100% do not recommend squeezing the lemon in these bathrooms. The food was good. read more

My wife and I went to Panera in Delavan last week. We had problems with fruit flies landing on our food. I went into the men's room and it smelled like an out house. Sewer flies were in here. The urinal had not seen a toilet brush for many days. The urinal bowl mat has not been removed to clean the bowl. It has what looked like alge growing. I told the "team Lead what I wrote here. He hat too know! The other thing the entrance inside the restaurant had torn up paper and candy wrapper. The team lead should have gotten a dust pan and broom to clean up the mess but just leaned on register. I was going to go on line to leave a message but no comments section on website or register tape. Goes to show you they don't care. I wonder what the kitchen looks like? read more

We chose the "Pick 2" meals. One Tuna half sandwich and one Tuscan chicken half sandwich. The tuna sandwich had one little spoonful of tuna, wish it had a little more. Otherwise, very good. The Tuscan chicken has a good flavor to it, but for the price of 6$ it is VERY small. Can go to jimmy johns or subway and get a foot long!! I went online and ordered a special lunch for my wife and me because it's her birthday and she really enjoys Panera. I ordered the lunch to be delivered and put a tip on for the driver as well as the $4 delivery charge which was automatically added. When I tried to pay with Paypal the Panera site wouldn't accept it so I called the store and spoke with a manager who asked for my address and then said that wasn't an issue because they would deliver it to my home. In the end, I had to use my bank card rather than Paypal. No big deal but a deal nonetheless. After an hour and fifteen minutes with no food, I called to ask the status of my order only to be told it was sitting there waiting for me to pick it up. When I said I had paid for delivery I was informed that they do not do delivery and they could cancel and refund the order or I could come to pick it up. So, I drove to the location and picked it up only to have the delivery driver call as soon as I arrived home to ask why I had picked the order up because he was there to deliver it. I found the purchase price of the meal refunded in cash in an envelope in the bag with the meal but not the delivery charge and tip which I told the driver he was entitled to for his trouble if he could get it out fo Panera. I hope others have better luck if they order delivery from this location. At least my wife enjoyed her birthday lunch in the end and it only cost us the delivery charge and tip. But lack of knowledge of the business by someone who identified herself as a manager is stunning. read more

Secondly, you would think they would take a minute and advise that their dining room is CLOSED and the only alternative is to use drive-thru for over-priced, mediocre food. I arrived 8 minutes before closing for drive-thru takeout. There was only one car in front of me in line. I noticed they were done with their order with 5 min left but they were just sitting there. At 8pm exactly they pulled around. When I pulled up to the intercom to place my order the person said "unfortunately, we are closed." I had two cars in back of me so I had to pull forward and wait. The car in front paid and quickly got their food, which is uncommon at Panera. I suspect the car was asked to sit at the intercom so the person did not have to take any more orders from cars behind. We're now 9 or 10 months into the COVID pandemic, yet not all employees of Panera at this location seem to understand that proper wearing of masks helps curtail the spread of coronavirus. Wearing a mask that does not cover your nose DOES NOT comply with mask-wearing guidelines, particularly when actively talking with people who are preparing and handling food! Wifey loves Panera, so we go occasionally. Call ahead if there is a certain soup or sandwich you like because they don't have the same thing every day. The tomato soup is pretty good, but they tasted completely different from one another the last time I went in there. The pricing is average and the decor is decent. My wife and I ate a great meal tonight. Clam Chouder was hot and tastey. Perfect on a cold evening. The UPick2 steak and arugula sandwhich was great with rare steak, soft bread and yummy sauce.
