My teenager and I were out shopping and decided to grab a bite to eat. We've been to the other Panera location in town, and I swear, Panera in the South just hits different! We went on the later side, and it wasn't busy at all. We placed a mobile order from the car, went inside, sat down, and within about five minutes our food was ready. We ordered the Mix & Match for $4.99, and with Flatiron, I think that's a pretty sweet deal. About $10 for a soup and sandwich? I'll take it! I got the Turkey Bravo with French onion soup, and everything was great. The sandwich was made fresh with nice, soft, fluffy bread. I also loved the French onion soup because Panera just makes the perfect version of it! My daughter got the "You Pick Three," which included a delicious Chicken Caesar salad sub, and she really enjoyed everything too. The staff was super nice, and I love that they offer little cups for free ice water. When I'm eating bread, water just hydrates you better. Maybe I'm just weird. Also, I always bring my soup bread home and toast it later with butter. Trust me on this one and thank me later! This would have been a five-star visit if the bathroom hadn't been out of soap and the tables had been wiped down just a little more. I know it was toward the end of the night, though, and I get it, the world is tired. Overall, we really enjoyed ourselves, got a great meal for the price, and will definitely be back! read more

The Unlimited Sip Club lets you get a free drink every two hours with unlimited refills during the visit that you're there. I believe the price of the subscription is normally about $11 a month, which is honestly a great deal if someone is in the area of a Panera bread and looking to frequently visit. Considering their drinks tend to cost in the $3 - $4 range per cup, this monthly subscription price is a great deal. Today I decided to try the Mango Citrus Charged Lemonade. This is a highly caffeinated lemonade drink with coffee extract and guarana. After taking a few sticks, I could immediately tell this is an incredibly caffeinated beverage. I looked up the stats online, and the large cup has over 350 mg of caffeine in a cup. This is about 2-3x as strong as the average cup of coffee, or potentially 5-10x as strong as a cup of tea. For someone looking to pull an all nighter, or needing a bolt of caffeine in the morning, I'd definitely recommend this drink. I've tried it a couple of times now, and it is a great drink that really amps you up. I think I'm going to be switching back to my normal cup of coffee on most days since I love the flavor of coffee. Overpriced hospital food is the best way to describe Panera... but I always find my way back here. If I'm craving soup and want some that's not from a can, I usually come here. My go-to order is a you-pick-two with broccoli cheddar soup and Mediterranean veggie sandwich. I usually order online or off the kiosk because it's easier to customize the sandwich online or at the kiosk. I like to add extra toppings like spinach, arugula, pickles, etc. I appreciate how there isn't any extra charge for the additional toppings. I've tried almost every sandwich on the menu and I don't have any complaints about any of them. They're all decent sandwiches although I could probably make the same thing at home. Out of all the soups I've had, the only one I don't like is the butternut squash soup. It's too sweet for my preference. Overall, I wouldn't recommend Panera, I think there are a lot of other places to visit before Panera. I don't think it's worth it. We were on our way home and wanted a quick stop for lunch. Knowing we have picky eaters with us, I knew a Panera would be the best option. First, you guys were quick! Your curbside delivery was quick and efficient. Second, the restaurant was extremely clean and the one way in and out was very helpful for social distancing. Third, my youngest said you made the best Strawberry Smoothie bed ever had. This says a lot considering he only every drinks strawberry smoothies from Panera! As an added bonus, your restaurant was conveniently located for an easy on/off stop on our way home. Update: Panera has recently updated its menu, so this item was in fact sold as it was advertised. I'm still disappointed that corporate has changed this recipe, but it is not this location's fault. I have ordered the Mediterranean Bowl at every Panera I have gone to, and every time it comes with emerald greens (basically baby arugula) and grape tomatoes, as it is advertised. I ordered the bowl for pickup and received many substitutions that I neither asked for nor was informed of. There is iceberg lettuce and spring mix instead of the emerald greens, and large slices of tomato. I dislike iceberg lettuce, and would not have ordered this if I had known they would do this. It is their responsibility to inform the customer of any substitutions at the time of pickup and give them the opportunity to order something else before they made it. I don't know if one of their chefs is lazy or they ran out of those ingredients, but neither ur is an excuse. The appropriate thing to do is mark the item as unavailable on the app. Also, this Panera has never been very clean. Lots of residue on the floors and tables. This warm bowl, which is now essentially a salad with wilted lettuce, is mediocre at best and I'm very disappointed. Not worth the price I paid for it. read more

The thing I enjoy most about this company is the consistency it keeps with its franchisees. The company as a whole does very well to reward its members through their membership program. Free food items is becoming a norm for places like these, what is not the norm is that they have the occasional week to two weeks of free items (bagels, coffee) for members. This appreciation for customers is a great retention tactic, but also creates the incentive to want to enroll in their membership program. As someone who has been a member for a year, Panera has made me want to return because of its visitation perks. Food quality is quite good, their soups are unbeatable compared to other competitors. Broccoli and Cheddar soup is to die for with the complementary french bread. The pastries are quite nice as well. Nothing too spectacular, but a bit too much on the sweet side for my taste. A major recommendation is to order using the electronic kiosks. All the sandwiches give you the option to add extra toppings for no additional cost and allows for customization. My only downside to this review is Panera's pricing. It is catered toward a nicer cafe setting, but it disappoints sometimes when it comes to a singular sandwich for $11 with a side of chips. Overall, Panera is well established and worth a visit. This location is packed especially during dinner time due to students studying here. I am forever looking for new places to study in Gainesville. Panera bread turned out to be a not so great option. The noise level inside is average and can get too loud sometimes from the music and kitchen sounds. There is usually a good amount of people and chatter which also contributes to the noise. There are very few outlets in the dining area. The few available are usually taken by another customer. My main complaint is the wifi. It is very spotty. I could not manage to connect to it during my visit no matter what I did. Not a great study spot. However, Panera is a restaurant before a study. Nice and clean Panera. Thank you for saving me yesterday when I was exhausted from waking up arely and the driving. The caramel coffee you made me was delicious and hit me just in the right spot. The ladies helping in the front were extremely nice with me. We ordered a cheese danish and a chocolate pastry. We asked to be warmth. The ladies told us that they don't do that in a toaster, they showed us the microwave where we heat our food. I didn't like the taste of my cheese danish a after I put it in the microwave because is not the same as in a toaster. In the microwave it gets soggy, so my suggestion is to put a small oven maybe next to the microwave so people can have the two options. Agradable y limpio Panera. Yesterday my family and I stopped here for lunch and ate outside on their patio. They were very busy, however surprisingly we received our food quickly and everything turned out well. This location has some kiosk machines so I used them to place our order so my young children could see what they wanted because it displays the pictures, which was cool, however honestly it takes much longer to order, even for someone who is extremely computer savvy. This location is going high-tech by implementing self-serve kiosks. They were offering patrons a free cup of coffee just for trying it out. It was a little challenging to use given that the categories were not in any kind of logical order, but that's why they're testing it out, right? The steak breakfast sandwich I had was really good.. a refreshing alternative to the fast food options available out there. The coffee was good too. I asked for almond milk, because all of the other creamer options they had were dairy. To my surprise they did have some in the back with the baristas. My boyfriend and I had dinner here last night and I was very content with Panera. I've dined at the Gainesville location now and then and when the Savannah one went in on Bull Street, I ate there a lot and found it an ideal lunch spot. The free Wi-fi is certainly a draw for a lot of students and businesspeople alike and it's also a nice, affordable, comfortable place for lunch or dinner. Their sandwiches and salads always taste fresh and their selection of bakery goodies is very good, perhaps not the quality of Uppercrust, but still as good or better than Fresh Market or Publix. There is outdoor seating also and ample room inside and best of all, orders come up very quickly despite how fresh they taste: Panera must have prep work down to a science in their kitchen to maintain such speed and also such quality. The staff is also very attentive and friendly which is always a nice plus. My only complaint at all with Panera is that it is freezing inside! I can see Coldstone next door being chilly, but Panera? This store is utterly pathetically run. They are constantly out of items. This location has not had ham in a very long time. They give a ridiculous excuse about changing distributors, which is lame. Management is amateurish, at best. The staff consistently gets special orders wrong, so we use the kiosks. They are supposed to offer a bakery item for $.99 with the meal order, but all items on the kiosk are listed as "unavailable". When inquiring at the counter, the staff member offered to ring them up, but tried to charge full price. After this, after waiting over 20 minutes for our order, we discovered that it had been ready in sitting ready on the back counter for over 20 minutes. The pager had never gone off. I asked for the order to be remade, and was told that they were now out of the items. Avoid this place at all cost. It's been awhile since I've frequented this establishment but I'm glad I stopped by this morning. They had these lovely Valentine's Day shortbread cookies that looked adorable. They looked so good I thought to myself that they had to be delicious so I ordered a dozen and half. The price tag snapped at me and the associate must have noticed because she quickly told me that a precentage of the cookies purchased goes to the local Children's hospital. I went to go have a nice quick meal, because where I'm from this place is great! Now my meal was fine and good, but the reason I say one star is because of my boyfriend's meal. They gave him the opposite of what he ordered. And also in his sandwich (which he ate anyway even tho it was not the one he ordered) had a long brown hair cooked into it, and so he decided to put down the sandwich and eat the soup he ordered which they actually got right, a minute later of eating the soup he then finds another hair in it!!, so then I decided to share my soup, we were almost down with the soup, probably only the tip of your finger was left filling the bottom of my cheddar broccoli soup, and my boyfriend puts another spoon in and pulls it out close to his face, we start talking and then 5 seconds later he looks at the spoon and finds a short gray hair IN MY SOUP! I regularly visit this Panera as well the other location in Gainesville, they are bother very similar. Customer service is friendly and fast. I personally think Panera is good for what it is. I don't think the price point is on key for what you get. A little pricey for sandwiches, (1/2 and a soup) but the food they do put out is good and fresh. I really am a huge fan of the Panera Iced coffee. I also really like their bagels. Although it's not my number one bagel place in the city. This location as expected gets a lot of college students studying. This Panera opens 30 minutes earlier then the one on Newberry road. The service and food in consistent here. read more

I have been to this place too many times for the past 3 years to study,eat, socialize and to read. The atmosphere of the place is pretty chill, but sometimes it gets really packed and it gets really noisey. But during summer, it is the perfect setting to study and read. Anyhow, on to the food. The food is fine. But it is pricey for the type of food we order. Quality of the food is good. But I always go there for breakfast, their breakfast sandwich and their egg suffles are awesome. I like their selection of hot teas and unlimited refills. In addition, they give you extra rolls for your soup if needed. Their service is consistent and it is good. As soon they see their line getting long, they open more cashier as quickly as they can. They always fully staffed and always ready to serve you. I have never waited more than 8 minutes in line. The managers always goes around asking people on how they are doing and if they need anything else. But anyhow they have a decent range of drinks along with food. Their salads are amazing but pricey! but the thing is you always do the "you pick two" items, it is worth the money. You get to pick a salad and a soup, or soup or a half of sandwich, or soup and a salad. Any combination you want. And they open pretty late. They have a good variety of light items on their menu to satisfy hunger, from soups, salads, sandwiches, to yummy smoothies and coffees.
