I had a really frustrating experience at this Panera Bread location. My order was made wrong not once, but twice. The first time, I specifically asked for no avocado, but they still added it. On top of that, the avocado looked old and honestly pretty disgusting. I asked for the order to be remade, but the second time it came out it was still wrong -- they left out the cheese and the red peppers, which were supposed to be included. At that point it felt like no one was really paying attention to the order. It was disappointing and really took away from the experience. After visiting the winter market, we stopped Panera for a bagel and a smear Normally we order bagels they are toasted and given to us after we pay. Not today it is now 20 minutes in and no bagel. We were not greeted even at the pay station We got the bagels and they were burnt. Upon advising tyhe manager she told me to put them in the trash and they would do more. Now 10 minutes and waiting This Panera is the worst about 8 turkey sandwiches standing out. This place sucks. I wanted to give them another chance but I was disappointed and frustrated again! I place my order in the drive through line. It was half a sandwich and a cup of soup. They asked me to pull forward and someone would bring out my food after I payed. I waited for about 20 minutes. The people that would pull up behind me kept getting their food. Finally someone came out and added a cookie to my order free of charge. My sandwich was cold. I will not be returning to this location ever again. read more

The last review came 4 months ago, and I figure it's time for an updated point of view. The food is always fantastic. It's not fine dining, but for the speed and taste and attention to detail, it gets a 5 star. I'd rather get lunch here than at Culver's, or Jersey Mikes. Good flavor, good texture, good balance. Full disclosure, I usually just a coffee and a bagel. The coffee is good, and you can't always say the same at other "fast-food" restaurants. Food is always handed to you with a smile. The people working behind the counter are typically quick and you can always hear them talking - making sure that orders are taken care of in a timely manner. Approach respectfully with special requests and you will be treated in kind. The seats/tables are cleaned constantly, and employees will occasionally wander to ask if you need anything. As much as I appreciated Alpha explaining WHY the cinnamon crunch bagel was sold out just before noon, followed by a recommendation for a other bagel, I am annoyed by the fact that this is clearly a top seller and none of your locations are provided with sufficient inventory to last up to three fourths of the day. I went through the drive thru and opted for the pick two menu items. I chose the ranch Cobb salad and frontega chicken sandwich. It also comes with a choice of an apple, baguette, or chips. Just avoid this location!! I've tried to give them a few chances, but each time I've come to this location, the quality and accuracy of my orders have been so bad. You spend up to 40 minutes or even more, getting your food but when you do, it's either wrong or you're missing something or you find a hair strand in your sandwich which was my last and final straw with this place. My daughter and I came in and had a great lunch. All the employees were super friendly. When they called out for me to pick up our order I was told they didn't have any croutons for the soup. Not a big deal. After we started on our meal, the kind lady that had told me that came to our table with a cup of croutons that she said were fresh out of the oven. I hadn't given it a second thought but she wanted to make sure we had some. I was also impressed by the young lady that came by our table to make sure everything was ok. I love Panera...but this location is the worst. In April I came on a Sunday two hours before they closed. Waited at the drive through for a good ten minutes saying hello never getting a response. I then parked my car and walked inside. Waited two minutes before finally asking the employees cleaning if they were still open. They responded yes and I did I'd like to order. Let me remind you it was two hours before they closed. I'd they had decided to already close the drive through they should have put a cone up. I got home to only have them forget my salad dressing. I emailed in about my experience because I think a manager needed to know. Got a response from the Manager saying next time I come I can have a complimentary you pick two and a drink. Nice and not expected. Fast forward to today, it's snowing and I want some soup so I decide on Panera. I hadn't been back since aril and remembered the email. I go in today and the lady behind the desk is exchanging a phone number with another employee and probably doesn't greet me for a minute. I told her about my email and ordered my you pick two but declined on the drink. She said she would need her manager to ring it up. She goes to grab the manger which takes a minute or two- one the manager comes over she just says what do you have? I explained the email and she said that person hadn't been the GM for 10 or 11months. I had the email from April and let her know I hadn't been back. She then said she would need to go ask her GM- then came back and said they wouldn't honor it. Needless to say I won't be back to this location. I went over to Culver's and spent more money there. I shouldn't be so excited that after either taking back or getting refunded over 10 orders , they finally got ONE right! Except now when I go to pick up my app ordered food, instead of telling me to park in a numbered spot and they will bring it to me , given it's NEVER ready on time, I'm now repeatedly told to get back in a 20-30min drive thru line ONLY AFTER the app says my food is ready! So this time I go inside after waiting in the parking lot for 20 minutes and the App "gives me permission" as I'm told, and come to find out none of my food is even ready. She admittedly says "oh I had to push it through to show your order wasn't even on time, I just put the sandwiches in the oven" So if you want to get the wrong food, be treated like crap repeatedly to the point this location should make a slogan out of it, then sure I recommend it. Of all the Paneras, this has to be one of the worst. I went to the drive thru, they were out of avocado, so I changed my sandwich. When I got to work, I discovered no bacon on my sandwich and called the store. I was told I could come back, however I work 20 mins from the store and was at work until late. They said I had to come back while the manager was still on duty and I couldn't. Instead they would have to get a voucher mailed. That was a nice way of saying "get off the phone, sorry not sorry". I'm not sure if this location is going out of business or if it was just because it was a Saturday afternoon but as far as baked goods there was NOTHING! I actually went to there for an Asiago bagel and there was not a bagel in sight! There also was no baked goods or breads and there was one lemon cookie that they couldn't even sell because it was broken. What made it bad is they had already charged me and also another lady for cookies that did not exist! I ended up getting a grilled cheese and onion soup (no crouton they were out). If you like grilled cheese don't get one from Panera; it was definitely a kids version. There was absolutely no flavor and it honestly reminded me of a Kraft singles grilled cheese. Now don't get me wrong I love a good Kraft singles grilled cheese but when it's costing me $7. The onion soup was decent had cool flavor but there was basically no cheese inside which was disappointing since I was already missing the croutons. A friend of mind described this place as glorified hospital food and I defended them but after todays experience......I feel this statement. Some lady who works there with crazy glasses and earrings was EXTREMELY rude, I ordered extra dressing and she made a huge fuss about giving me extra dressing after I paid $40 for 2 meals. She argued and insisted she put extra dressing in the salad but I requested it on the side. She went back and forth with another worker for a solid 2 minutes over an ounce of dressing. The dressing isn't a big deal, but the way she acted was absolutely horrible and she made me feel awful. I was polite and honestly did not deserve to be treated the way I was. Another coworker was kind enough to apologize for her actions. I'm very disappointed in the lady with the earrings and glasses and dark hair. So I ordered soup but they didn't have half the soups anymore, and then they informed us they didn't have any more bread or chips but they could give us an apple as a side. It's fairly well known in my circle that I'm a fan of Panera. During this pandemic, I'm a definite fan of being able to get healthier food options either by curbside or drive-thru. This Panera is located at Glendale Town Center in front of the current location of Glendale Library. I've been a longtime customer and actually thought I'd already written a review. This location has historically been a little hit-and-miss. It used to be my "go to" option because of a super friendly manager whose service was top-notch. I've had a handful of times in my life when the service was so good at a restaurant that I became a regular, or semi-regular, and this Panera was one of them. As a disabled adult who lives alone, I tend to like places where I feel a sense of community. This Panera gave me that. Eventually, of course, she left. The next team that came in wasn't nearly as strong and my days at this Panera were fewer. The interior was messier. The service was more lax. This lasted for several months. While I will never know if others noticed, it's true that eventually that management went away and was replaced by the current team that seems to have this location back on the upswing. This location has a drive-thru, a definite plus these days. They enforce mandates to the best of their ability and employees wear masks, practice social distancing, and are clearly much more concerned about cleanliness. I've not been inside during this pandemic. I've heard good things about the curbside, though I'll admit the app doesn't seem to like my phone and I typically get frustrated and give up. So, I mostly utilize drive-thru. They've become super conscientious about asking if we're MyPanera members, a definite plus because it keeps track of rewards and encourages them to build relationships by using our names. There's still fluctuation in work performance - when certain supervisors are working, they're on their game. When they aren't? Things are a bit more casual and mistakes get made. However, it's definitely improving. Panera also offers delivery. They've had some menu changes recently - some mac n' cheese options, flatbread pizzas (I've had the Margherita and didn't care for it), and a brownie that is to die for. They have an $8.99 a month unlimited coffee deal and are currently offering 3 free months. I had a limb amputation in late 2019 and one of my first "outings" was a trip to the adjacent library and wheeling across the parking lot to Panera. It was awesome. There are other locations in Indy, of course, and this one can still be hit-and-miss - this is obvious from reading other reviews. However, overall, I'd say it's returning upward and becoming a place I enjoy going again. The menu steers leans toward healthier and cleaner and most, though certainly not all, of the tables inside are wheelchair friendly. They have accessible parking (though the curb has a lip that has caused me to tumble more than once) with two entry doorways that are a tad heavy. The order pick-up counter is also high, which will be difficult for anyone in a wheelchair or with reach issues. So, there are some accessibility concerns. While I tend to mostly review local restaurants, during this pandemic I'm appreciative of any restaurant continuing to make sure folks are safe and Panera has certainly adapted well to the changing restaurant landscape. read more

This is the Panera bread near my house and I have never once gotten through the drive through in under 15-30 minutes. They make you pull up with no one in line and sit there forever. Really happy about this, as I greatly prefer my eggs to be over easy rather than well done, and up until now I haven't found a quick breakfast sandwich that offered this option. This is my favorite Panera location in the Indy area. Food is always good quality here, friendly employees, quick service. Rapid Pick-Up makes my morning easy: order online and it will be ready to pick up in five minutes. I just grab my bag off the Rapid Pick-Up rack and go. Fresh, hot, made to order breakfast when I don't have time to work frying an egg into my early morning routine. Quicker than a fast food drive-thru, Rapid Pick-Up allows a much better quality breakfast than typical fast food that has been sitting under a heat lamp. read more

New Review: I stopped coming to Panera like two years ago when they had their cream cheese scandal (basically they got rid of their cream cheese). My partner and I stopped here today to give it another try thus the updated review. Here is what I don't like: 1. The person working the register lacked customer service skills. Easy to get to off Keystone. Drive-through, which is always nice with a toddler in the car. We ordered a couple of pick-twos. My corn chowder was good, as always. Someone from over in the kitchen had to come up to take my order, who was very sweet (Jordan). When I received my to-go order and drove home, I found out they had forgotten one of my items. It's also drenched in dressing so if your order it to go by the time you get it home it's a soggy mess. 1 cup of arugula, aa sprinkle of grains (maybe a spoonful at most) 4 thin slices of chicken, 2 grapes, and a few slices of apple.... how does that add up to a $10 salad? I was still starving after I finished it and had to make me something else. I will say the manager Robert was very nice when I called to... voice my concern that I thought someone made me a half salad instead of a full. As well as being helpful locating my "not so rapid pickup" in the store, in their defense they had additional questions. At the drive thru today, waited forever, and finally when I got to the window they said they screwed up the order and needed to start over. I was more than frustrated. But without asking the mgr came to the window and said my meal would be free. When they brought it out they had put two cookies in the bag, which I hadn't ordered. Curbside pickup is way faster than the drive thru during the lunch rush. While working remotely with covid, sometimes I like sneaking out of the house for a drive to pick food. Rapid pick up you have to go inside and grab your order off a shelf. Curbside, they bring directly to your car. There is also the drive thru, that can get backed up at times. I've had issues in the past ordering curbside, and waiting and waiting and then the order had been sitting inside the whole time - but they changed management and things have much improved with errors. My newest fave is the Mediterranean sandwich. It's all veggies. Feta, onion, tomato, lettuce, peppers & dressing on sundried tomato bread. If you're feeling super healthy after the sandwich grab a side of the creamy mac n cheese. It's SO good! The website says their open until 9. When I call, the recording says they close at 8. A sign on the door reads that they close in the cafe at 5. I went there at 7:30 pm, lights were out, and no cars in the parking lot. I did this Mon, Tues, and Thurs. I drove past again on Friday at 5:30 pm and they were still not open. All I wanted was a fresh salad after working out. This location is not reliable, so I will be going to a different one in the future.
