We love Moveable Feast! We've known Peter and Kathleen for more than a decade. They are SO dedicated to their craft and restaurant- always giving back to the community, involved in the Indianapolis scene and committed to excellent service and high quality food! We've used Moveable Feast for holiday partition take-out, events and just love their dine-in experience. The restaurant venue itself is very COOL, showcasing local arts and supporting other food & drink local businesses that they proudly share on their menu. Moveable Feast is highly recommended if you're looking for some great food, good conversation and just need a fresh environment to expand your Indy vibe for a lunch or dinner Go-To!

I've heard about Movable Feast because Tom from The Bob and Tom Show has mentioned it as one of his favorite places to eat numerous times on the show for years. Being on that side of town for the Binford Farmers Market it is literally right down the road from it. They have a nice outdoor patio to sit and eat as well as nice music playing while you eat outside. When you walk in if you go to the left they have a freezer and a refrigerated area that you can buy dill chicken salad, buffalo dip, soups, pastas, etc. The menu has lots of options and the Cajun chicken grinder I ordered was so good. The baguette it was on was fresh and light. The sauce went well with the chicken. I would order that again. The chocolate chip peanut butter oatmeal cookies the owner makes are cookies I wish I could make! She said they were her mom's recipe. Try them they're under a glass dome and they sit there to tempt you. It worked lol. The owner was very friendly and helpful and it's a great place. They have smash burger deals on Thursday and Friday for $10. This was the first of many visits here to try all they have to offer.

Hands down 5/5. It's tucked away in an industrial complex of sorts, but it's a very peaceful environment, both inside and out. Their menu consists of sammies and salads primarily. Tons of great ones to choose from. I had the tuna salad sandwich (which was only $5!), it was so fresh and tasty. It's come with a side as well, chips/slaw/cottage cheese. My husband had the Philly cheesesteak and LOVED IT-even more than his other go to spots in Indy. On Thursday's Friday's and Saturday's they have $5 draft specials and smash burgers in the evening. Good quality food, healthy options, friendly staff, good ambience and the price is right. Well be back real soon. P.s. don't leave without getting a cookie. Wow.

I've been hearing about this place for years and never visited. I'm so glad I finally did. After some shopping in the area, I decided to stop here for lunch. They offer a variety of items to dine in or the option to shop from their freezer case of heat and eat meals specially prepared in house. I opted for hot sandwiches. I got the Cajun chicken sandwich and it had just the right amount of flavor and spice. It was really good. Reuben was good as well. They offer a couple of tables outside with sanitizer and wipes for customers on a little stand. Social distance markers were in place Inside and the staff wore masks. You can also place an order via their website. Curbside pickup is available too. I plan on trying some other menu items soon.

Today I had time in my busy work schedule to go out and grab some lunch. I wanted to try something new and Yelp brought me here! It's located in an unassuming strip plaza but has lots of character. Inside is super colorful and relatively large with seating space and a retail market area. You can purchase premade meals you just open and pop in the oven or crockpot. Lots of variety from veggie lasagna to enchiladas and spanikopita. The sandwiches we tried were so good. Turkey pesto and chicken grinder. They both came on baguette bread that was really fresh and soft. The pesto was full of flavor and the sauce that came on the grinder was finger lickin worthy. Sandwiches come with a side of kettle chips, spicy slaw, cottage cheese or salad. Everything was reasonably priced I will definitely be back here to grab lunch again soon! Online ordering on their website helps too. On Fridays they do smash burgers & offer $5 beers!

Movable Feast is located at the west end of a small strip-mall in northeast Indianapolis. There is ample parking in the mall lot just off 65th Street. It operates much like a typical fast-food restaurant. The menu is on a board over the counter, customers put in their order and then go take a seat, the cashier/greeter calls their name when the order is ready, and the customers then go back up to the counter to collect their food. Customers are responsible for bussing their own tables. I had to repeat my name three times, and finally verbally spell it for him, for the cashier to understand "John". The overall ambiance is quite casual. There is seating for about four dozen customers at the assorted tables and chairs. Generic recorded music plays at a comfortable volume in the background. The menu offers a variety of soups, salads, sandwiches and wraps, sides, sweets, and more. There are a number of daily specials, and an additional menu on Saturdays listing brunch offerings. A small selection of beer and wine is available as well as a range of non-alcoholic beverages. I ordered a Philly Steak and Cheese sandwich with a side of Spicy Slaw. Although listed on the menu under "Freshly Prepared Hot Sandwiches" my cheese steak came to me at room temperature and was largely lacking in flavor. The cole slaw was rather heavy on the dressing, and at that was also somewhat lacking in flavor. I really can't recommend this establishment to anyone looking for anything beyond a fast-food meal, and a mediocre one at that.

The duo behind the counter greeted me enthusiastically and helped to guide me through the menu as soon as I walked in -- signaling early on that I was going to enjoy my first time here. I ordered the chicken salad toast, an item off of the brunch menu. It was tasty, topped with crispy bacon and filled with plenty of dill. The yogurt base and the pile of fresh veggies on the side ensured that I didn't feel badly about this brunch item. The Bloody Mary mimosa was unique -- it's not a combo I've ever had before but I wasn't disappointed that I ordered it.

Amazing hot sandwiches. I got the turkey pesto and I've been back twice to get it again. The bread is so soft and the ingredients are fresh. It is a family owned and friendly vibe. I will definitely be going back soon.

This is a fantastic quick lunch spot, but has so much more to offer than that! The inside feels so big and has a counter for ordering and a refrigerator section for pre prepped meals and drinks. I opted to order lunch to stay, I went with the Game Day Chili and the Cheesesteak (no mushrooms). The food was hot and ready to be picked up at the counter super fast. The chili was really good and hearty. It was mild on the spice but big on the flavor. Even the small size gave a nice helping paired with the sandwich. The cheesesteak was nice and tender, the bread was soft And chewy, it was phenomenal. The onions didn't overpower the whole sandwich and the cheese was perfectly melty. I also tried their brownie and it was a good solid brownie, a really nice sweet treat to cap off the lunch. The nice thing about this place is they keep water and tea pitchers out on the floor so you can refill your own glass as you go. I'm really excited to come back here and try more of their menu.

    Love it here

Walk in, order the special. You're welcome. OK, it looks like a little sandwich shop and it is. Except there are frozen dinners you can take home. Lasagna. Sausage stuffed portabella mushrooms. Chicken pot pie. Turkey Reuben is my favorite but today's special was jerk pork, so I took the recommendation and was really glad I did. Give it a try, everything is good here.

There's nothing not to love about Movable Feast. Peter and Kathleen are always friendly and welcoming. The food is delicious, I think I'm addicted to their Philly cheesesteak, it's incredible. They do a great job sourcing high quality ingredients and the space is nice and cozy. Checkout Movable Feast and support a great local Indianapolis restaurant!

The restaurant has a very cute aesthetic and plenty of seating whether you wanna sit at a table or at the bar. It was a little bit of a busier time when we came for lunch, but it didn't take our group too long to be seated. They have plenty of options if you have a taste for sushi or if you want a regular protein based entrée with rice I also appreciate that there were a lot of veggie options for non-meat eaters. I had a dish with broccoli and shrimp and it had great flavor and the portion size was perfect. It also came with a small side salad or soup before your entree came out.

It looks appealing on the…read moreoutside and, walking in, also has nice booths, some tables, and a unique, beautiful, large bar/sushi counter. The restaurant presents like a higher-end sushi house, but this is a little mismatched with the slightly loud 80s pop tunes streaming from the speakers. It seems like instrumental soft Japanese stings would be more appropriate. Also a little mismatched in the ambiance is a giant TV screen on the back wall (near out table), and large TVs over the bar area. They just don't "look right" with the tables and interior décor. The menu seems on par in price and offerings for similar-style sushi houses. We split edaname($6), I got the sushi dinner ($23) and hubs got the special lobster & seafood clay pot ($36). I drank water and he had 1 diet coke, so everything with tax + 20% tip came to $90. The food is presented beautifully, and tasted good. Both dinners had choice of soup or salad, and we each got ginger salad. We're lovers of ginger dressing. This one was ok - tasted good but could have used more, as I has lots of un-dressed lettuce in the bowl. My sushi dinner was fine but nothing extraordinary. For the "special" lobster & seafood clay pot, presentation was again beautiful, aroma and taste were good, nice sauce, but it was a little underwhelming in both seafood contents and amount. That being said, we had a small amount of leftovers from the hub's dish (some rice, sauce and veggies), and they present very nice takeout bags with a thermal lining. We actually ended up giving the container of food to a homeless man downtown, so I did not eat the leftovers, and, admittedly, it was not enough for a full lunch. So overall, while the food was very pretty and also tasty, we have a lot of other sushi options that give more bang to the buck for our quantity and atmosphere preferences. #yum #ReviewsByRL

The place is pretty with a nice bar area and the ambiance is nice with good lighting. We sat in one of the booths which was dirty but on the plus side love the privacy of them. To start the food took a long time to come which is always understandable and sometimes expected at fine dining, but was not worth the wait or price. First, the steak was said to be good, but the asparagus side was underwhelming with little to no seasoning/ butter. The lamb chops come with Alfredo pasta and was not seasoned and just not good. We had three orders of those so everybody can't be wrong. The shrimp and linguine pasta was dry with no sauce at all. On top of that the noodles were brittle and hard. I asked if we could have more sauce which helped a little bit. But i could not eat it because the noodles themselves were hard and dry and i did not want to send anything back because of the company i had. The presentation was pretty but the execution did not land. We also got espresso martinis and raspberry martinis and those were made well. For a place like this you just expect a little more pizazz and things to be on point! Especially at the price point they are at i expect everything to be tasty and saucy and flavorful and juicy. Can skip this one.
