Efficient service. I ordered via their mobile app and my order was ready at their take out shelf when I came. No waiting in line needed. Free fruity water at the front and plenty of seating at the back. The restaurant is bigger than how it looks from the front. It has a cafe-like atmosphere and free WiFi and I saw people on their laptops or reading. Kitchen sink cookie- $3.99. It's a big and delicious cookie. Thin, crispy with a chewy, substantial center. My favorite of everything I ordered Cinnamon coffee crumb cake- not bad. I like the crumb topping but the sponge cake is a little dry Whole wheat bagel - more on the smaller size. Nothing special. I frequent this location often...if going for lunch, the lines can get quite long. An option is to order online ahead of time and pick up or order via the kiosk machines in the store. Best to have a Panera account to earn some rewards - like a $1 off beverage, free cookie or pastry. If you are a brand new customer, you will get a free pastry for signing up and for your birthday. Bagels - tried almost every bagel. Surprisingly won a bagel a day for the entire month of December from Panera. You can go to any location to redeem. My fave is the cranberry walnut then the cinnamon and raisin 2nd. Some of the seasonal bagels were ok...better as regular food instead of bagel. Good to try though/ Soups - my favorite soups are the butternut squash in the winter, New England clam chowder and baked potato soup. Pay attention to which day of the week they are being served. The French baguette that comes with the soup is really good! Pick 2 - if you are watching your calorie count, you can do 1/2 and 1/2. For example, cup of soup and 1/2 sandwich. I always order from this Panera when I'm feeling a little "fancy" with my lunch. It's usually when I can't decide if I want a salad or soup, so getting the Pick 2 is a great option. I tried a couple of their Pick 2 options and there's 2 that I always get. I also order for their rapid pick up and I never had to wait for them to prepare my order. It's always there, fresh and hot and ready to eat! I only dined there once and I have to say their service is pretty great. The staff brought out my order and they're always willingly to help when I'm trying to find my rapid pick up order. Overall, I'll continue eating and ordering from this Panera! read more

I actually consider this to be one of the better Panera Breads I have been to in my experience. I use to frequent here a lot when I worked in New Jersey a while ago but since I am consulting around the area I get chances now to try this place again and I am still satisfied with the experience here. As you would expect the food here is like other Panera Breads. It is good quality food and when its crowded it can take a little longer to get your food. For you financial workers, generally even when crowded its not so long a wait that you don't go over an hour long lunch break though so this is still a safe place to get lunch. Anyways to the point, the food is good. They have diverse options and if you get bread it can be VERY filling. A bread bowl with soup and baguette can be a bad choice if you wish to finish your meal. What makes this Panera Bread a little bit better to go to is that its located inside the mall and has a nice environment. The seating here is really nice, clean and enjoyable. It is kind of small though so inside seating can be a little crowded. I think the quality here is pretty good in comparison to other Panera Breads and in general I think Panera Bread is a great restaurant chain. It is an excellent choice for lunch. read more

This place has a bad rating for a reason. . I figured let me give it a try. I struggled for a good 10 minutes using one machine, and even though there was nobody at the store other than stuff, no one came to check up on me. So I used another machine and finally, I was able to make it work. There are no identifiers on the machine itself to pay via Apple Pay yet there is a sign on the screen - go figure. There is a serious usability problem here. I was surprised that my sandwich was done within a minute or two and I went to the counter since this is my first time and the cashier literally wanted to chew my head off. I think this place actually should close due to it's very minimal Customer service and the cashier shouldn't work there if she doesn't want to deal with the public. This Panera is pretty small and it can get pretty busy during lunch time but for the most part they work quickly and efficiently. They have seating inside of the actual restaurant and a little seating area outside of the restaurant in the mall. They are also pretty clean and pick up after tables pretty quickly. You should stop by and try their broccoli cheddar soup in a bread bowl with their iced green tea fruit juice. It is my go to meal whenever I drop by! read more

Great management! They ran out of something and the cashier failed to tell us so it affected our order. The manager stepped in and handled everything with grace and professionalism. Very impressed with this young woman! She not only was taking care of customer needs, she was clearing tables, back and forth everywhere, I will be back simply because of the service! Right sized, flavor packed lunches. Lunch prices and lunch sizes have gone up. In reality, the restaurants just want to increase prices so they pack bigger lunches and charge more. I used to love going to Panera in my home town (New Hartford, NY). I never once thought the food was overpriced and was always happy with the portions. When I first found out Panera was opening last year, I was really excited. I love Panera - especially their mac and cheese! I quickly became disappointed in the new location. Anytime I came here this past year, I would get the you pick two with mac and cheese and big kids grilled cheese (three cheese with bacon) and a fountain drink. There were a couple of occasions where the cashier had no idea what I was talking about when I ordered and overcharged me by making me pay for grilled cheese with a bacon add-on. Their response when I questioned why they couldn't use the big kids grilled cheese was that it doesn't work as the you pick two... clearly there's some type of disconnect between some of the cashiers who can charge it as a you pick two and can't. Anyway, that's not why I'm writing this review. Last week, I went to Panera and tried to order my usual order using the order kiosk. I wasn't seeing the big kids grilled cheese. I asked why it wasn't listed and they said they don't make it anymore and that they can add bacon. I paid an extra $0.75 for a SINGLE piece of bacon the size of my thumb. ARE YOU KIDDING ME? $12 for ~6 bites of mac and cheese, a tiny grilled cheese with a tiny piece of bacon and a drink is definitely NOT WORTH IT. I'm not sure if the to-go portions are just smaller than the eat-in portions (I definitely get more mac and cheese when I eat in at other locations), but this is really just pathetic. If I ever come here again, it will be for breakfast - at least the bagels and egg soufflés are somewhat reasonably priced and you can actually see what you're going to get ahead of time and not be surprised with a TINY PORTION. read more

Other than perhaps a glass of homemade juice you haven't had much more. You don't want to stop and kill your healthy eating because the options presented are slim and if you venture into the second or third floor the chances of you running into havens of sugar and bad food are by the dozens -- im looking at you, Dunkins, and anything on the food court. What do you do? Zinburger, a restaurant I've been to on several occasions, serves best as dinner and evening wine. Cheesecake Factory... a once in a blue moon event because let's face it, between this and McDonalds on the parking lot Side of the mall, the latter doesn't even compare to sheer caloric volume that basically automatically morphs into heavy fat. A couple of steps past Zinburger you encounter the small but pleasant surprise that is Panera. True, lines are often long, the music can be either spotty or a bit loud for comfort (as it is now as I type this), and the self-serve kiosks can be all taken (or damaged, as one was when I walked in a bit over 90 minutes ago), but if you get the app and register you get the perks of ordering without the line and have your lo-calorie meal delivered right to your seat with an efficiency that is pretty sharp. Plus, there's no deadline to leave your table, so you can relax for a few, drink your coffee or tea, and enjoy either by yourself or with friends looking for a place to hangout. read more

Worst Panera location I've ever been to, likely will not return to this one. There was a long line out the door but all the self order kiosks were open so I excused myself and squeezed in. After I placed my to-go order I went to the back to watch the screen to see when my order would be completed. During this time I asked for a water glass and the nasty woman at the register handed me a call bowl/cup with a edge around it (see picture). I questioned her saying it looked like a bowl and she clapped back "this is our complimentary water cup." Shocked, I proceeded to get water in my little bowl, only to see other patrons eating yogurt and cut up fruit out of the same, small, bowl. Did I mention this "cup" had a complete ring around it? Such as one that would be used to secure a cover? Comical. I ordered a tuna sandwich and a complimentary cookie (Panera Rewards), nothing complicated or requiring heat. It took almost 10 minutes for my order to be completed. I walked to the Rapid Pick Up shelf and my bag wasn't there. I went back to the counter again and they had my order behind the counter. Fortunately we decided to dine-in even though we ordered to-go, because not only was the receipt missing, but so was the cookie. While eating we heard several patrons around us also displeased; a table for 3 had completely incorrect orders, another table for 2 was served bread bowls without spoons, another table for 2 had only half their order come out. Been waiting a real long time for this Panera location to open up! Located right inside of the Newport Mall, Panera is a great healthy addition. While this location is a bit smaller than the others, the essence of the franchise is still the same. They offer baked sweets such as bear claws (my favorite), cookies, muffins, cupcakes and scones as well as bagels and breads - some packaged and some freshly made and displayed. The menu seems to be a bit condensed as compared to others but the usual suspects are present - still a great breakfast selection that consists if sandwiches and soufflés, bagels and cream cheese sold single or in bulk as well as salads, soups, paninis, pastas and sandwiches. The best deal they have is the pick 2 option available with their meals (non breakfast) that allows for half portions so you can try a bit more of the menu, also with each order you get a free side (either a mini baguette, an apple or chips). Also if you buy a drink with your meal you can get a pastry for just 99 cents! After you order they give you a pager that will ring when food is ready to pick up at the side window. Service is pretty slow which is kind of annoying, we waited about 15 minutes for two salads a bowl of soup.. They are pretty limited for space so seating is a bit of a squeeze but they were able to get in about 15 tables some seating up to 4 people. They also have a cool option in which you can preorder your meal via their website or their app and come pick it up in person. Also, they provide their patrons with free wifi. read more
