Taking food to go the fries loose a little crisp but still hold up from the steam of the hot enclosed food box. The service is fast, the place is clean. The employees are very sweet and loving and even on a bad day they are professionally kind. I've been here over 20 times and although it's pricey I come by at least once a month.

My partner picked their new Jill pickle chicken salad on wheat and as a BLT, it was a much more savory option. We split and swapped our sandwiches which made for a good balance. I also tried their broccoli salad as my side and liked it. It had a light mayo dressing and a bit of cheese and bacon. Their tea options were also good and I drank their peach ice tea. Next time I want to try their buffalo chicken salad or maybe take home one of their to-go portions as an easy meal for the week. I support this restaurant concept! I happened to stumble upon customer appreciation day, so was instantly greeted and handed a cup of Carol's chicken salad to take home. Wonderful surprise. Now I have to talk about the staff here. Always so friendly and helpful. And they don't just stand behind the counter. They come out and help. There are a number, a lot of varieties of fillings to choose from. They offer samples of any you wish to try. So you see it could take a while but it really doesn't. What with my pain and some new varieties since my last visit I was a little scatter brained. But they treated me like a loved friend or family member not annoyed at all. She even noticed my military ID when I got my credit card out and gave me that discount automatically. The other tiny thing and again really nitpicking is my bacon. It was not warm...so it didn't have the best flavor profile it could bring to the sandwich. Now was this a bad sandwich? The chicken fried chicken originally had a good taste but as I got more toward the middle, it was very greasy/oily, as if the went straight from the fryer to the plate instead of draining the excess oil. We also ordered a kids burger and it was very delicious (I would've liked to order an adult burger but they use buns that have sesame seeds.... FYI for anyone with a sesame allergy; the kids burger DID NOT have sesame). Overall I would come back again and continue to try other options on the menu. So right away I know it's going to be a wait. Soon after I placed my order, a mom and her little girl come in and place an order. I noticed a lot of people walking in who had placed mobile orders. When the orders start to be completed, the family of three go up and grab their lunch. Then the staff member calls a number four "something something something"couldn't hear him. A woman quickly gets up, grabs the sandwich and walks out, crumbling up the receipt, and not even looking at it. I walk up to the counter and I ask what was that order? He said oh, it's already been picked up. I had a sinking feeling it was my order but OK. Next the lady and her daughter get called for their lunch. They walk up there pick up their lunch and walk away. I look at the counter where they're preparing the sandwiches and there's no little John sandwich being made. I walk up and ask the gentleman again about my sandwich. He asks me my name. I tell him and he says, "could it be under another name?" I said absolutely not. He asked me how I placed my order. Was it an online order? I said no, I walked in after that family placed my order and then the little girl and the mother came after me. This means to me that he doesn't have my order or it means that they're not making the orders as they come in. The female staff member said, we're really busy; not an apology for getting the orders mixed up. My order wasn't complicated. It was a single small sandwich. If they were so busy, why didn't they have more people out there making sandwiches? I noticed Mr. Order-taker heading to the back after every order. Maybe he's taking lunch, but when you're that busy in the food industry shouldn't lunch wait until after the rush? They finally made "my" sandwich. After leaving, I spotted the receipt in the bag. I noticed the last 4 of the Visa card was not mine. I also noticed this person's order while similar to mine, had no mayo. It was placed much later than my order according to my bank info. Proving my theory. I called the store and spoke with the woman who claimed to be the manager. I recognized her voice (the one that said they were really busy). I explained everything I had discovered and that I understood mistakes happen, but not a single one of them apologized. She did finally apologize and offered to credit me for the sandwich, but that wasn't why I called. It was because of the way I was treated. I hope things change.
