Small mom and pop restaurant. Food was very, very good. Very flavorful and not too salty or doused in fish sauce. Service was pretty decent. They were busy during lunch so I understand there is room for improvement. My husband ordered the pad woonsen and the veggies were fresh and the dish itself was not fishy at all. I ordered the lettuce wrap and it was so delicious. Just be cautious about the spice level. A level 2 was pretty spicy. We will definitely go back and try other things. read more

Decent. Went in for lunch today and ordered Tom Yum with chicken and the lunch green curry special with chicken. First of all, no spice levels. Why? While the restaurants I ate at in Phuket didn't ask for spice levels, since it's in the actual country, they don't have to. Here in the states, it's customary. My Tom Yum was ok but without any spice, it was just meh. The curry was also just meh. No Thai eggplant or other authentic veggies to be found. Cucumber and green beans. Wasn't the worst I've had but there are much better authentic options in the city (Sukhothai is a great example). My co-workers got Mongolian Chicken (said it wasn't spicy enough and was a little too sweet), drunken noodles (she said it was good). Atmosphere was standard for a quick in and out lunch place. Music was not too loud. Service was slow, but it was a lunch rush so it was fine. Took about 10 minutes for them to come take our order. Not terrible. The food was decent, but there are much better places to get Thai food if you want authentic Thai. read more

I also wish the menu was clearly marked as "vegan/vegetarian/gluten/nuts etc" but it's okay, staff is happy to answer questions. Although it can be misleading online, most if not all of the curries are made with fish sauce even if you ask for tofu. I would go for the Paht Peht and mango sticky rice. :) Accessible gender neutral restroom in the back. Very large portions. It used to be called Sukhotthai, I wonder why it changed? I wish they did not serve Coca Cola products because of the boycott for Palestine, but most places serve it so I understand. We haven't been able to eat inside yet, but whenever we pick up our food there's lots of people, high noise level, and few searing areas. Their food is okay, not the quality or taste I typically find in other Thai restaurants. I've tried their pad wound in at least three times and I've just come to realize I don't care for how it's prepared if you've ever had green chicken curry there's a certain sweetness that you come to expect that this one does not have this plate from here tends to be more like the way I've had it from an Indian restaurant. read more

The service and freshness of the food is really spectacular! I was pretty amazed at it, plus the price wasn't too bad, could've been a little cheaper, but also could've been more expensive due to freshness. The inside is nice and clean! It's way different from what sukhothai had. But from overall flavors it was lacking in my opinion. I'm not going to take away from the freshness of it at all. Menu unclear and owner said it didn't have to make amendments. Never told soup had run out or that salad was not an actual option. Very rude when we address issue..told we didn't have to be notified (1st come 1st serve) family owed business could do as they pleased. Far cry from Thai Taste or Thai hut. Friendly staff and food is amazing! First time trying this restaurant and I am ready to go back again. I got the summer rolls and the paht thai. The server asked how spicy I wanted it out of 1-5 and I told him 5. I love spicy food and he said it would be really spicy and damn he was not lying!!! I enjoyed every bite but do NOT ask for the number 5 spicy unless you are ready for it!!! Definitely will be back very soon!! read more

The small room up front is designed so sound bouncing off hard surfaces is worst in this room. I have had to ask to be relocated twice from this room due the sound level. The kitchen area in the front do not have doors to abd from the kitcgen to the dinibg rooms. Another design flaw, as a result the seating areas loud sound comes into the kitchen area. I can not imagine how the staff communicate to each other in this work setting.

I initially walked up to the register expecting to order to-go, but the staff quickly let me know they offered full table service for dine-in guests. The dining room was clean and nearly full despite the late hour. The atmosphere is simple and functional rather than upscale, with Thai music playing from a television displaying Thai programming, which added a nice authentic touch. I started with the spring rolls while looking over the menu and eventually settled on the red curry with a combination of proteins since I'm always a sucker for eggplant in Thai curry. The spring rolls arrived quickly. They weren't particularly impressive visually, and there was a bit more wrapper than filling, but they were crisp, fresh, and paired well with the dipping sauce. The red curry was the star of the meal. There was plenty of rich, flavorful curry, generous portions of chicken, beef, and shrimp, and just enough eggplant to keep me happy. I ordered it at a 3 out of 4 spice level, which was hot enough to make me break a sweat without overwhelming the dish. Service was friendly and reasonably attentive throughout the meal. The only minor inconvenience was that the restaurant has a single unisex restroom, which stayed occupied fairly often because of the constant flow of dine-in and takeout customers. Overall, this feels exactly like what the name promises--an excellent neighborhood Thai restaurant focused on serving quality food quickly rather than creating a special-occasion dining experience.
