Filthy dirty and very slow service. Only reason it got two stars is once the single item we ordered was finished it did taste fresh. There were 4-5 employees in the back. I could hear them chatting. Who knows, they could have been working on a large order (it was about 2:30 on a Thursday) but nobody said anything such as "it will be a few minutes as we have a large order to fill". While I waited the fifteen minutes for the one sandwich, it gave me time to look around at how dirty it was in there. There were large clumps of dust on the large overhead light fixtures that I could see clearly. The ropes that these fixtures hang from were also covered in thick, clumps of dust. It looks and feels like "I don't care" in there. Consistently terrible service. I've paid for a bread bowl on multiple visits and never received it, and they don't bother to refund or adjust the price. Today the drive-thru worker was rude, kept interrupting me, and tossed me a bag of bread without a word. Probably the worst service in all the painters that they've been to. The weight is extremely long if you plan to go through the drive-through, give yourself 30 minutes every time I've gone it's been like this. I ordered drive-thru at this location on my way through Lansing, and I was surprised when the employee taking drive-through orders didn't know the name of my sandwich and kept trying to push a sandwich on me that I didn't order. She couldn't say the word focaccia so she didn't know what kind of sandwich that was. Even though I told her over five separate times and then described the type of vegetarian sandwich I wanted, even though there was a picture of it on the menu, they still gave me a chicken Frontega sandwich. I drove all the way home with a bag of food I didn't order and couldn't eat because she doesn't know the difference between any of the sandwiches at the place she works. From here on out, I'm definitely going to use the app to ensure that I get the sandwich I want instead of the sandwiches that employees can remember. I should've just gone home. Absolutely worst service from this location. Waited 20 minutes to get onsite orders. When received, there was no chicken on salad and no fork. Plenty of people working ( counted at least 5) but they were moving as slow as molasses and not making eye contact with anyone. read more

More than half the time I come here they either get my order wrong (forget the side or another ingredient) or I'll get there after work (at least an hour before they close) and they're "out" of a soup for the day. Orders via the app to be picked up. Waiting in the line at the drive through. Each car takes 9 minutes to get their food and leave. Almost 30 minutes later I am told they are out of what I ordered. Sometimes eat here and always like the food. This time we come and decided to dine it really quick. Tried to do with their tablet inside the restaurant, but it wouldn't let us order a bagel or use gift card to pay. So we waited in front of their counter. A staff went by and asked if we could use the tablet to order by ourselves since only 1 manager now, we explained why we couldn't. After few minutes, the manager came out and helped us with our order. Chicken noodle soup is always yummy, blueberry bagel was a bit hard after toast it; but very tasty. Not going back. The phone in order experience was awful. We ordered a Green Goddess salad and got home to find it was a plain Caesar salad, not even chicken. Our fault for not checking, but there was a homeless man outside begging for money so we wanted to get away as quickly as possible. If I could give this negative stars, I would do just that. Where do I start. Every single time Im here, I wait on average 10 minutes. Today specifically, I went for an oatmeal @ 10am. No one else in line, and waited FIFTEEN minutes. The oatmeal was gross btw. I would suggest taking that off the menu completely. You order their overpriced mac and cheese and you get 1/2 a container. This sounds petty, but if you're paying $9.79 for SOME MAC AND CHEESE, there needs to be enough. If this Panera was the last food on the PLANET, I'd choose to eat grass. Every time we come to order they are out of items... avocado, tortilla strips, soups, even BREAD (baguette). We ordered tonight at 6:30 and they close at 9... out of this and that. We just ate lunch there, in our car after we did a takeout. My mother was wild about it. She is 91. This is what she said: We didn't have any time between doctor's appointments to eat lunch, so we stopped at a Panera's drive-through and decided to eat hurriedly in the car. Here are my mother's comments: "This is one of the best bagels I've ever eaten." "Don't they just make the best tomato soup?" "They are so generous, I have enough cream cheese to use later." "Wow, what a sandwich. There is enough here for thrashers. Their sandwiches are so good because they use homemade bread." " Everything tastes so good. That's why they're always so busy." "This is like having our own picnic today." "I feel so lucky that we get to do this together today." "What kind of potato chips are those, they taste delicious. I love their crunch. We will have to buy more of those in the future." "I have so much food left over I'll probably have enough for 2 other meals." "Thanks for taking me. I loved it." I placed a Rapid Order in the evening for a pick up the following morning. When I went to pick up, they hadn't even started on my order. It was a larger order - 2 dozen bagels & a coffee carafe. It took them 40 minutes to make it. And the store wasn't even busy! I was late to work because of the horrible service. On a positive note, I have used the delivery service several times and been pleased. Orders were correct and arrived quickly. Ironically, deliveries have been around 45 minutes. read more

Get home and my food is wrong, call back to the store Miguel Perez (manager) was extremely rude, hung up on me, called me a liar and told me to Google the corporate number! But the best part is he acknowledged that "the other manager made your food and yeah I see he made it wrong". Refused to refund my money without me driving back to the store. After the hang up I call back he continued to be rude, over talk me, call me a liar again then said "in the future if you wanted free food maybe not order from us" my order was $51.10 and I wanted a refund for $15.56 for the items you acknowledged "the other manager messed up". Placed an order at 11:30 via the website yesterday, with a pick-up time of 12:30. I arrived at 12:30, went inside aaaaaaaaaaand no pick-up orders. At all. They have a board with names on it, and my name was at the BOTTOM of the board. They hadn't even STARTED my order I placed an hour prior. They had no problem getting drive thru and dine-in orders taken care of, but if you had placed a pick-up order, they didnt give a crap. I watched people ask for refunds because they had been waiting so long. I waited 18 minutes past my scheduled pick-up time until they got to my order. What's the point of offering scheduled pick up times if you can even meet them? Some people have limited time for a lunch break. So ridiculous. read more

The salad was very crisp and put together well, the soup was the perfect temperature, and the service was very friendly.
