Stopped coming here a while ago because cause the service was always bad and food was inconsistent. Decided to try it again this afternoon and it has gotten even worse, staff was rude, took 40 minutes to get a sandwich and it wasn't made right. Just stopped in for a latte. The restaurant was clean and welcoming and the cashier was very friendly. Somehow my order was made by her and also the kitchen staff, so I ended up getting two lattes! I know this was a mistake on their part, but they handled it professionally, and I was able to bless a stranger with an unexpected hot drink on a rainy day. read more

I kept giving them another try and another try, but today it continues to be disappointing. They ran out of baguette for the soups, but don't even have other options. No apple, no chips...nothing. We regularly go through W. Leb. and keep giving the Panera Bread location there another chance. It's amazing that over the course of 4 years, stopping in on different days and different times, the service has been consistently terrible. Today we waited for over 5 minutes in line, for lunch at 1:30pm on a Wednesday, and the line hadn't moved. We gave up and went to another place. I dislike writing poor reviews but after purchasing a $45 lunch that was literally unbelievable for it's quality, I decided to. Unfortunately I hadn't checked recent reviews myself as some years ago one could count on a decent soup and salad here. Had to return to ask for the proper side, the $8 1/2 Mac and Cheese sandwich was a complete joke burnt and boyfriend's Steak sandwich for $15 was miserable. A baguette with only one side partial onion and slopped on small qty of meat. It's amazing this place has any clientele. read more

I guess I walked in on the wrong day at the wrong time... A colleague recommended this place for a lunch salad, so I arrived here at 12:20. I waited 10 minutes in line to order and another 10 minutes till my order arrived; except that was not my order... waited another 5 minutes and received my salad. Was it worth the wait? I ordered two cold green teas in the drive-thru. When I went to pay with a $20 she told me they didn't have change. Odd to receive that information at time of payment, also you are near a bank, sooooo? When I realized the green ice tea was sweetened I asked if I could exchange it for an unsweetened ice tea and she said no. The service here is always, *always* friendly, and I really appreciate that. I also like that it is convenient to where I work, so easy to get away for lunch. Also, the quality of the food is good, always fresh, no wilted lettuce, etc. My gripe is that more often than not, they leave something out of the order. If it's not the side of chips, bread, or apple, then it's flatware. Today it was the chicken in the Strawberry Poppyseed Salad with Chicken. So what I received was a strawberry poppy salad, no chicken. None. It was as bereft of chicken as I am with patience with their constant botching of orders. Rapid Pickup. Ordered pick two. Fuji apple chicken salad, no onions, no dressing, extra pecans and extra apple chips. Of course there is a charge for wanting extra. Got a salad with NO chicken, onions and the regular amount of pecans and apple chips. Oh and they still gave me the dressing. Good thing it comes on the side. The prices are too high to not get what you ordered and only realize it after you have driven all the way home. I understand making one mistake. I understand leaving the onions on. Big prices for little portions.. My husband & I went there 3 weeks ago for soup and sandwich. We ordered the soup and 1/2 sandwich.. My bowl of soup was about 1/2 full and when they say 1/2 sandwich they mean 1/2 piece of bread. I had ordered the tomato soup and grill cheese with tomato. Ha it was tiny bit of cheese with maybe 1/2 tomato slice on tiny 1/2 slice of bread. The price for the 2 of was a whooping $26.00 for these morsels of food. I wanted to speak to the manager as I was shocked at how they d ripped us off in grand fashion but didnt. Unless panera either drops the price or makes grown up sized meals we will never go back. Wow, so sad to see this Panera go downhill. Ordered an ice coffee and a bacon egg and cheese sandwich online that was surprisingly done in 5 minutes. However when I entered the store to pick it up I could not get a single workers attention and stood there and waited 10 minutes until someone finally noticed me (keep in mind I was the only customer there). When I finally got my order I received no apology for waiting even though I was the only person there, and on top of that they forgot the bacon on my sandwich. I've been to almost every Panera up and down the East Coast because I travel back-and-forth via car. This one is hands-down the worst. The employees are rude, they are always out of basic supplies like napkins. They don't put the pure cane sugar out so you can sweeten your drink, when every other Panera does. This Panera has lots of parking, free wifi, an outside seating area, and a little bakery inside for pastries and desserts. The service was fast and waiters were friendly! I was trying to eat something healthy. Around 230 in West Lebanon I had not tried Panara Breads yet. I ordered half a turkey sandwich. I did not want the bacon or avocado offered. The change was $8.45. I expect to snack on a great sandwich. What I had was a below par bread soggy lettuce and 2 oz of semi dry turkey. To say I won't go back and please. Especially poor coffee experience at Panera bread today. My cappuccino was just grayish steamed milk, and had no discernible taste of coffee. And it was served in a non-recyclable to-go cup and I was eating in. I have to qualify that I make my own espresso drinks at home, so I do know that big chain coffees are milky/sugary distortions of real Italian drink recipes, but with not even a taste of coffee this sunk even lower than my already lowered expectations. One problem with big franchises like Panera, there's really no point complaining to the person who made the coffee. We no longer have any expectation that servers will either know nor care about how to make a good coffee, or that the person working in a bakery will have any knowledge of baking. I hope that a new generation of restaurants and cafes will take us back to a time when people make things in kitchens on the premises and that that they enjoy and take pride in them, and that franchises like Panera will go out of style. At the very least, if Panera aren't going to employ and train baristas, they should consider putting super-automatic coffee machines in their restaurants. read more

Recently this cafe has improved but todays experience brought me back to how it was. It was the worst Panera I have ever been to but my last two experiences were better than before. Maybe they changed managers. This trip was not so great. I got the Green Goddess salad with chicken. The salad was packed with items but much of the greens were browning and there were too many end pieces. To top it off they sliced the bread early and it was stale. They should just break off a piece as needed like every other Panera in the country does. read more

Awful, all way around. So surprised that corporate has not taken notice yet. My wife uses more milk in her coffee and usually I warm up the milk in microwave and then add coffee on top. At this location since they don't have the self service kiosks I have to wait in a long line to order coffee. After all that I asked the milk to be microwaved since this location does not have one. I was told that I would have to buy the milk separately if I want it warmed up and that was too much milk for the coffee. The manager made me pay $2.39 extra for milk on top of the price of coffee. I asked about a policy as to the allowed amount of milk in coffee, he told me it was up to the discretion of the employee. I've been to over 100 Panera's across the US and generally have a high expectation. This is by far the worst service I've ever seen. Most of the time the coffee pot is empty and once I asked as to how long the wait was, I was told 20 minutes....corporate please give this location some help.... read more

Additionally, when I arrived my order was missing for a few minutes, but the staff was able to locate it quickly.
