I tried the Beyond the Grave sandwich, which was part of the Beetlejuice Beetlejuice promotional collaboration with Denny's. My interest was piqued by the photo on the menu. While I loved the concept, the excursion was lacking. The cheese stick breading and the sandwich bread were too dry and tough! It's Dennys - you know what you're getting. The food is consistent and it's open 24h. We arrived at 6:30pm in Lebanon NH and went to Denny's because I was craving breakfast for dinner. It was semi full and we were seating immediately. The waiter was great and got us water immediately - while this is something that should happen immediately at all restaurants, it doesn't happen more often than you'd think or like. We settled into our booth. I over ordered the Lumberjack Slam: 2 pancakes, grilled ham, 2 bacon strips, 2 sausage links, 2 eggs made to order, crispy hash browns and buttered white toast. The grilled ham was surprisingly good. By dinner, the hash browns were nice and crispy (they can be a little less crispy during the morning rush). The portions are always generous and there was no way I was finishing this but I ordered it anyway. The "two fluffy buttermilk pancakes" were a sleeper hit and my group collectively dug in to finish them - they are surprisingly fluffy and good. The Bourbon Chicken Skillet with grilled chicken breast served over potatoes, broccoli, bell peppers & onions and mushrooms - it was a solid choice and the bourbon sauce was not heavy or offensive. We enjoyed the Crazy Spicy Skillet with grilled chicken breast, chorizo sausage, bell peppers & onions, mushrooms, jalapenos, potatoes topped with cheddar cheese, spicy 5-pepper sauce and pepper jack queso. The only compliant we had was the onion rings - we ordered a side order and for $5.19 then received 5 rings (see photo) - there is no way that these basic frozen deep fried onion rings were worth $1 apeice. Ear abuse! The kitchen was blaring hard rock music, the overhead speakers were playing something else and the staff was loudly chatting over the din. Ryan greeted us at the host stand with a warm welcome once he was done bringing food to a table. He sat us and told us he would be with us in just a minute at which point he brought food to another time. When he returned he asked if we wanted a milkshake, he used a name that did sound delicious but I knew it would fill me up, he also mentioned coffee, and Coke. He returned with our drinks, then took our order. While waiting for our food I observed him cleaning tables and deliver food. He used his time wisely being productive. Our food was hot, delicious, and made just the way we ordered it. He made sure to remove our straw wrappers, our empty creamer containers while making sure our needs were met. At time of departure he thanked us for coming in and asked that we return. He was attentive and personable. He provided the greatest service we have been given in a very long time. By the time we got our food i was so starved, and excited. But left still hungry and very disappointed! My eggs were cold, and i dont know what they did to the hashbrowns but they need to change them. They were undercooked and didn't tast good, also my husband's burger was as overcooked. After appts. at DHMC my SO and I found ourselves at Dennys for a quick dinner, prior to heading home. In general we were very satisfied with everything... service, food, prices, and portions. I had what I believe they called the "Supreme Omelette" , which lived up to its name! My SO ordered the pumpkin pecan pancakes with eggs and fruit, which she much enjoyed. Traveling & wanted a real breakfast, I went to Dennys. It was busy, but had no idea how long my visit would be. I was seated at the counter since I was alone. It took a bit to get a menu & some juice. The waiter was friendly & apologetic. They were short staffed & super busy. I wasn't in a rush, so I stayed. I ended up at Dennys for about an hour. During my visit I watched 3 waitstaff & 2 kitchen staff handle more work than they should ever have to! They were consistently hustling, helping each other, focused & friendly at the same time. I brought my family at 6 pm on a monday. we waited 1/2 hour to be seated, then ordered sodas. When waitress finally came back to take our order she then says "we can't make that our oven is broken". We ordered 3 entrees and 3 kids meals. 2 of the entrees were wrong when they came so I said don't reorder them I don't have time to wait. We split up the food we had so everyone got a little bit of food. When I was getting ready to leave she brought 2 more entrees. I said "we are going now, I told you NOT to make anything else, just take it off the bill". She said she can't take it off the bill and gave me 2 take out containers to put it in. When I got to the register I said "kids eat free but you charged for the kids meals". So she said "I'll take them off but I have to charge more for the entrees the manager said I can't make the bill less. She wouldn't let me talk to the manager and I had to pay $10.00 more. I ended up with 2 chicken finger dinners we didn't want and spent $70.00 and we all left the restaurant hungry. VERY UNPROFESSIONAL PLACE and a total rip off. Do NOT go there to eat. read more

I used to bring my elderly Father to this place... he loved Denny's. We've tried it a few times since he passed, and maybe it's just my dumb luck... we always get the crankiest register/seaters at this particular one. This one set me off. We were greeted. We asked for a table instead of a booth, and were told that there should be tables open but let them check... that it would just be a few. Ok... so just leaned there and waited. Apparently it was shift change or something... a whole lot of register work, cleaning, restocking... but no one went to see if there was an open table! Meanwhile we watched four or five booths open up... and even a table! Yet... we patiently waited. After more than 15 minutes... I finally asked... can someone go check to see if you have an open table??? I was told I don't have to be grumpy... we told you it would be a few minutes. I said a few minutes was fine... but it's been more than 15... and not a one of the five or six people that were helping behind the counter, or the two greeters had gone to see. I told them we'd go someplace where were treated a bit better... one old hag said "good... go then". So we drove across the street to Applebees... where we were immediately sat... and had a drink within 3 minutes. They weren't even busy at dennys!! read more

First of all, just want to say, Chris, the host that sat us, incredible service. He greeted us with a smile and took our drink orders. Aside from that, there was a bit of a wait to just be seated, and the worst part is there was no sense of organization. No one takes your name down,'there was simply a lot of "I think they came before us" and "who's next", leaving it to the guests to assume. Then it was all fairly downhill from there. I assume it's because it was truly busy for a Thursday morning bc everything seemed to take a while. There was not enough Splenda in the sugar tin, and when we received our food, one of the plates had almost raw eggs. Even tho it is supposed to be over easy, over easy eggs are Not supposed to be runny in the white. The white part should be cooked and the yolk is the only part that shud be runny. Maybe they were just a little too busy. The crepes were honestly a little over cooked and spread a little too thin. So in the end, it was a gummy crisp if there was any way to describe it. It also came with way too much hazelnut. It drenched the entire crepe. Service was eh. My husband received his pancakes, a little over cooked, but then had to wait a while for his syrup as we watched every other table receive syrup at the same time as their meals came out. Decor is typical for a Denny's, nothing special. Shake was a plus tho. It was really good. And when they cooked the eggs right, it was tasty as well. This is now our go-to breakfast restaurant when we're in the area. The menu is huge, of course, but the food is great and the place is clean. Much more important, though, is the (relatively) older woman that seems to be the one in charge and taking names at the front desk on the weekend is almost shockingly polite, patient, and helpful with customers waiting for a table, almost as if she has a stake in the success of the restaurant. And our waiter Dakota was a very polite and attentive guy. My kids had never gone to a Denny's and frankly, I don't remember a Denny's being this good. I politely brought to attention the fact I ordered my eggs medium well and the whites were soft/runny. I cant eat eggs that way, makes me sick. In the process, turns out I was not supposed to be standing where I was standing when voicing my concern. Janis (the cook I was not originally taking to) took it upon herself to "scream" at me "get off the tile". Had she nicely brought to my attention I was breaking some rule, I would have politely correct the error of my ways. I fail to see the need to "scream at me in public". Janis, of all people, should know I don't like being screamed at. Having never received the breakfast I ordered, and pre paid for, I just left. I am quick to forgive with an apology.
