I had to wait WAY longer than normal for my rapid pick up and the order was a full new dipping sandwich and TWO cranberry walnut sandwiches. I get home and I have one chicken salad sandwich and one NOTHING BUT THE LETTUCE AND TOMATO no chicken salad at all on the entire 2nd sandwich. Just ordered from Panera for the first time in a long time and remember why. The Smokehouse BarBQ Chicken was all bread, very little chicken and very little ingredients if any and minute BarBQ sauce. I order extra dressing with my salad and did not receive it, making for a dry salad, not to mention the piece of bread they give you with the salad, I could have hurt someone with that piece of brick. So this was my first time trying Panera bread. I didn't expect much, it was a last resort. However, it has turned into a top pick after my experience today. Zavier/Zay at the register made my experience 10/10 with great pointers and tasty recommendations. I had the Bacon Mac (9.5) and creamy chicken/wild rice soup (100/10). Because of the nearby Tesla Supercharger, I've been coming to this Panera Bread Restaurant for several years, but it is beginning to show wear and tear and is on need of remodeling, especially the bathrooms (my wife tells me the ladies bathroom is also less than ideal.) The manager is top notch, the staff is friendly, the service is fast and the food is good, but the building is getting run down. I hope the owner invests some money in refreshing the building and facilities. This is too good and too convenient a restaurant to neglect the upkeep. read more

A great place for breakfast This restaurant is located on the northeast side of the Tom Hill Sr Blvd and Northside Drive. It shares the building with one other business and is surrounded by parking lots so there is plenty of parking. As an added bonus there are electric vehicle charging stations across from this location. The store has parking inside and outside. The inside seating has the usual setup with a mix of booths tables and side seating. It has the muted colors that the Panera Decor is known for. The outside seating portion is very tastefully done with a separation wall and several tables to the right of the entrance. As with all other Panera restaurants, you can order online and inside. The counter is to the left as you enter and the menu is mounted behind it. The staff was very friendly and courteous in taking our order. We got their quiches. As usual, they were delicious and served on real plates with real silverware. The inside area was not busy and was very clean. The only downside is the prices are high and getting higher for their food. Overall, it was a very pleasant experience and I would recommend it to fellow travelers to the area. read more

Located in a plaza close the the Tesla super chargers. It smell so good when you walk in. The smell of freshly baked bread. Mmm The place was busy with the lunch crowd. There are plenty of options for lunch. Soups, salads sandwiches and pastries. Hot and cold drinks. There were lots of people dining in not social distancing in my opinion. Sitting at tables a little too close together. Once you place your order and pay you get a device that will buzz when your order is ready for pick up at the food counter. A big plus of this spot is that it has Tesla Supercharging. Wham! One of the servers messed up our takeaway order and we realized after we opened it up elsewhere. Called them - they were very polite and gracious over the phone and invited us to come back and pick it up. Server kindly apologized for his mistake and gave us a redo of the order plus an extra bowl + snacks - wow! Can't complain about that. We stopped at Panera bread because we are on our way to Indiana for a visit with my son. The service was very polite and the staff were amazingly helpful. The food was very well prepared all of the staff wearing masks and gloves which was amazing and super. they had tables socially distance so you could you couldn't sit closer than seven or eight feet closer to the next patron which is really nice. The only critique I had was at the men's bathroom smelled of urine which means it hasn't been cleaned in a while and the patio was sort of dirty and needed to be cleaned. however I also know because of covid 19 they may be short staffed and this is one of the things that results when your short staffed read more

This Panera branch never seems to hit the mark. I've stood in line unable to get service at the counter because it's "Bagel Tuesday" (or Wednesday, or whatever) and they're too busy (and understaffed) preparing preorders. My husband has returned home with everything from undercooked to burned bagels. Recently their "everything" bagel appeared to be more of a poppy and sesame bagel. So disappointing. Now Panera, My colleagues and I eat lunch here often and this is one of our favorite menu items, the Margherita pizza. I am super irritated that whoever made this today just decided to throw this together this way. The sauce is all over the place. This is just sloppy and defeated the purpose of the meal. I need a darn fork and knife. There's sauce everywhere and it was not tasty at all. The sauce was overwhelming and just horrible. I don't even want to eat at the location anymore. I'm disappointed. I know that toasting that many bagels can be a huge pain, but they were great to take care of me & the people in my meeting were very thankful! Again another place I am sorta shocked no one has reviewed. Since it seems like everyone here in Macon thinks place is like uber cool and all. Well I have been here a few times and not really impressed. At the counter they have a nice looking spread of breads, bagels, and dessert. I have had some of the desserts and they were all pretty good. The bagels I have not had but I need to come try, most bagels are usually decent. The sandwiches are not that great. They already come with weird condiments. Besides the weird mustard the sandwiches are not really that special. More or less overpriced for just a sliced meat sandwich. The staff does not seem to happy to do special orders. When you ask them to just leave off or change the condiments on a sandwich. They told me its already pre made and it would take like 30 minutes to special order one. Ewww gross, who wants pre-made so called deli-type sandwiches. I don't but my friends seem to like the place so I will just continue to be disappointed. Maybe next time I will order a salad or just dessert. Or maybe even blow their mind and order a bagel sandwich at night. So I am disappointed with these place but I hope that maybe they can redeem themselves in the future. read more

I'm normally a fan of Panera but this location falls short of the chain's reputation. My first visit was about a year ago, and it had a generally unclean feel to it. The service left much to be desired, and the food was undercooked (not a good thing when chicken is involved). Tonight we decided to give them another shot. I recently visited your restaurant and ordered my usual tomato bisque and chicken salad sandwich to go. When I arrived home o realized that I didn't have half my order, which made me very upset since I live 30 minutes away from your establishment. When I called to complain I was informed that Panera would mail me a gift card because of their error in my order. My problem now is that I never received that card and when I called a week later I was told again that they were going to mail a gift card. Now it's been 2 weeks from that initial visit and I don't have a gift card and have essentially paid Panera for food I never received. I come here all the time with friends and with my daughter and we have never had a problem. I have used their order ahead service as well as walked in and the employees are all super nice! This one guy even provides tableservice basically, bringing our food to us and getting high chairs, etc. which is super convenient when you have a two-year-old to keep an eye on! I wish their portions were a bit bigger and the prices a bit cheaper but that isn't a problem with this location in particular :) my daughter is obsessed with their macaroni and cheese. read more

So great! One of my friends told me about this place (he's from up north and travels) and got me hooked on the tomato basil panini. I'm kind of shocked at some of the reviews here. I've always enjoyed Panera and especially this location. The staff is really helpful and friendly. I did a lot of my coursework there and would spend a majority of my weekends tucked in a booth with an outlet. One day all the outlets were full and the bus boy kept an eye out for me until one was open. The manager has always been really helpful and kind. They even have a nutrition binder behind the county you can ask for that gives more details about their menu options. read more
