Have you ever been to those furniture stores that have the dinning table displays, with table settings and everything. They always have fake food as decorations, like plastic sandwiches, fruits and pastries. That's what this place reminds me of, everything on display looks INCREDIBLE, but taste like cardboard! I won't even bother posting pictures of what I had for lunch (a sandwich and a salad), cause I only post pics of food that looks good. I had a "greek" salad, lettuce looked liked it was sitting out for days. Panera soups taste good just like a Big Mac taste good, the right amount of fat, sugar and salt, they are made in some factory across the country and shipped to stores in frozen bags (like pillows) then submerge in hot water and melted before they serve it in some clever way to make you feel your eating some gourmet dish, and tell you is home style. Panera has master the art of magazine looking Pastries, but that's what the Pastries taste like magazine paper! (Yes I've tasted magazine paper, left my breath smelling like perfume). First time going here, and may not go again. I came after a crazy night at work, which was 20 minutes away. I placed an order for Rapid Pick Up, which said my order would be ready by 8:20 pm. I waited 15 minutes and my order never came. Either somebody took my pick up order or it was never made. Usually good, but need to post takeout experience tonight. Busy around 6pm, ordered dinner for family of 4. Takeout server double checked our order, so I asked him if everything was there. He assured me it was all there. Got home to find missing Chicken Sorrentino. Drove back to Panera where the manager refunded the bill and gave us some pastries. Although the manager apologized, the server who double checked the order, never even acknowledged or apologized for the missing order. The server then hands me the missing Chicken Sorrentino. Drove home again only to find a container of lukewarm chicken with soggy spinach and arugula, looks like it was the same plate and simply warmed up. Very disappointing! We are done with this location, its been downhill for a while now but this past Friday night did it for me. My wife had dinner there and grabbed me a bacon turkey bravo on her way out (i was tied up at an appointment) that i could enjoy once i got home. Peel the paper wrapping away and its just a chunk of turkey, one piece of cheese, a shred of lettuce, and a dime sized amount of whatever condiment they typically put on it. No bacon....that's right....the BACON turkey bravo had NO bacon. Look, if you run out of bacon let us know, but nobody said as much to my wife so it appears it was just not put on the sandwich. I can even handle the no bacon if the sandwich looked like a sandwich, apply a normal amount of condiments, lettuce, tomato whatever else and stop being so stingy about it. read more

I'm not much for reviewing chains, but I absolutely love Panera Bread! And this one is very close to home, so I go there often. Everything I've ever ordered there is fresh and tastes great. My only wish is that they'd change sodas. They go to all that trouble to serve healthier, natural food, but then serve crappy soda. Why not switch to some better brands? But I'll just stick to bottled water and keep getting their delicious sandwiches. You can't go wrong here! read more

This is your typical Panera Bread. The food is average, but consist. I find this one to be very crowded all the time. They are pretty quick getting your food out. What I don't like is that they present themselves as healthy eating and there are a lot of hidden fat/sodium etc. items in their food. Therefore order wisely. Every time I go they manage to mess up my order in some way or another. The last time I went, the soda machines were all mixed up--Seltzer came out of the Pepsi, which took ~20 minutes to fix. Then they gave me the complete wrong salad, and when I asked for a Caesar salad without chicken (what I ordered) they gave me one with chicken. And never extra dressing like I order. I'm typically a Panera fan. I hadn't been to the one in Marlton in a while. The food was standard Panera. However, the whole place seemed messy and disorganized. I looked back at the kitchen and it reminded me a bit of my college apartment. There was no one to greet people at the front registers. As the line was building, one by one a staff member would pull a person over to the coffee area and say that she could take you over there. The staff seemed genuinely disinterested that customers were in the restaurant. You expect consistency from a place like Panera, for some time I have felt that Panera was going downhill perhaps cutting corners, but my last kind of explained it. read more

I used to love coming here but today was such a bad experience. I hate to be negative but the food and customer service were terrible! The line was so long and the self-order tablets were not user friendly at all. After waiting in line and ordering our food, there were no tables available, only wobbly ones (which is not where you want to eat hot soup). They ran out of pagers so we stood up front and waited for our food. Instead of calling our our name nicely the employee basically breathed down our food and barked our names. Depends on what you get. I like their soup in a bread bowl, that always goes well. Sandwiches are OK for the price you pay, but their soup in a bread bowl (bread bowl is bigger - I think) is pretty good for the price. Note that they give you the soup, the piece of bread cut out to make the bread into a bread bowl, and another piece of bread on top of that. At another location, they give me the option of chips, apple, or bread. Here they don't. Sandwiches automatically come with chips, and I assume bread comes with soup, but that's fine by me. Been going to Panera for many years. This one is the dirtiest with terrible customer service, over many visits. Tonight, we were helped at the counter, after waiting for a few minutes, by a shift supervisor who actually rolled her eyes at us for hesitating with our order. Two managers, both men, stood right in back of her. Our food was the same, small salads, little to no dressing. The back room picture on the wall on the right is covered in fruit flies. Again, it has been this way for 2-3 months. The bathroom has only 2 stalls, one is broken. The eating area floor is always, tonight included, filthy, with tables covered in food and/or dishes. I did finally see a women come out after about 45 minutes and sweep the carpet. Again, the 2 male managers were shooting the breeze with the female shift supervisor behind the counter. One cashier was working, and it was fairly busy, about 6;30 p.m I go to other Panera's. Some are just as dirty, with skimpy portions. But, this one is the worst. Won't be back, will drive to another one farther away! read more
