This place is very close to my in-laws's house, a 10-min walking distance. We came in for a weekend gathering lunch. We never noticed this place until my mother-in-law mentioned it that she came with her friends several times. The foods were well-prepared and flavorful, though kind of salty. We came in with party of 11, so we got to sample many dishes. The restaurant has really nice Chinese decoration. You can choose either white or brown rice ( no extra charge) to go with your dishes. Love the Amazing Tofu and Fish Dry Pot. The service was a little bit slow for lunchtime dining. Definitely coming back to try more! read more

One of the better Chinese restaurants in the area. The dim sum items are all solid -- har gow, siu mai, steamed bbq pork bao. The broccoli has the most delicious spicy garlic sauce, The mapo tofu has authentic Sichuan chili peppercorn flavor in a tangy brown sauce. The Taiwanese popcorn chicken is surprisingly authentic with fried basil leaves and salt and pepper seasoning. Very fragrant Chinese tea as well. read more

The day after our wedding my wife and I didn't feel like cooking so we decided to check out Szechuan Village and it was truly amazing! We arrived around 6:30pm on a Saturday and were seated immediately. It's located in a little strip mall on route 70 with plenty of parking but the inside didn't feel strip mall-esque. It's quite cozy inside with cute decor. We were seated along the perimeter of building in a booth which I love opposed to tables with chairs in the middle of a restaurant floor. We didn't really have one set server. Multiple people helped us throughout our meal and took our orders which was nice as someone was always nearby if we needed anything. All of the employees we encountered were professional and kind. As always when we try a new restaurant we order a bunch of different dishes to try. My wife had the egg drop soup which she really loved, and I had beef pho which was delicious and tasted like your classic bowl of pho. We also decided to split scallion pancakes which we weren't sure could be as good as another one of our favorite local establishments, beef fried rice, and double cooked pork belly. To no avail the scallion pancakes were perfect. Crisp, light, flakey -- everything you could want in a scallion pancake. The texture of the fried rice was on point and the beef was tender. The pork belly was full of flavor, just maybe wished it was a little more crisp -- still great though. We ended up having leftovers to take home with us. Portions were generous and the food exhibited big flavor. My wife and I both agreed during our visit that Szechuan V will be mentioned / recommended in the same breath as our other favorite local restaurant of like cuisine. This has got to be the 15th Pho spot I've tried in South Jersey. There's more than Vietnamese food. Their menu consists of traditional Chinese food too. We ordered the Special Pho, fried egg rolls, shrimp dumplings, house special fried rice and general tso's chicken and an iced coffee. The four stars is because the iced coffee is not good. Everything else was delicious! The pho broth wasn't too sweet. The fried rice had great seasoning. The egg rolls were just how I liked them and they use fresh rice paper! We stopped into Szechuan Village on our way home from a trip, and I'm so glad we did. The space is somewhat small and cozy, and the staff are all very friendly. We ordered an assortment of items from the menu, and we were pleased with everything. Our favorites were the Vietnamese egg rolls and the steamed pork buns. The pho was so soothing on a cool summer evening, the egg rolls were crispy and full of good textures and flavors, and the sesame chicken was very juicy. The steamed pork buns were warm and delicious, and the soup dumplings were excellent. Though we probably won't be back because we don't live nearby, I highly recommend Szechuan Village if you're in or near Cherry Hill! read more

We tried the mala dry pot and a couple of dimsum items. The dry pot was pretty authentic and not too spicy. Though Szechuan food is typically spicier, it was good for us. There was ample seating inside and servers were attentive. Overall good experience. read more

Very happy to have a delicious Vietnamese place close by. I absolutely just love Vietnamese egg rolls, like I sometimes will order a bunch and just make this my full meal. The wrapper was different than what I'm used to to but still very good. I know they might be a little better eating at the restaurant, but definitely get these. And the pork soup Dumplings, fantastic. There are some many more items I want to try, such as the pork buns. read more

We tried this new restaurant two times since its opening last week. The space is really beautiful and the customer service is excellent. The staff is extremely friendly and accommodating. The menu is fairly diverse with Szechuan dishes, classic Chinese American dishes, dim sum, Vietnamese dishes and pho. We tried the Dan Dan noodles and they were very good with just the right amount of heat. The soup dumplings were good also. The Vietnamese spring rolls were also very good but did not have the traditional dipping sauce you see in most Vietnamese restaurants. The Singapore noodles was also very flavorful and a large portion. Szechuan Village also has some interesting desserts and bubble tea. I am very glad to have this new option in the area. We are looking forward to trying some of the other items on the menu. read more

We usually stick to one or two places for Chinese food but I wanted to try something. This was a good find. My hubs and I enjoyed the popcorn chicken all and crab roe soup dumplings. The lamb dry pot was tasty (medium spice was perfect) and the double cooked fish was also good. The menu has a lot of options so it may take some time to decide. The restaurant was clean and had a nice ambiance to it. The servers were really nice. I hope they do well here! We'll be back! read more

I'll start with the good. This place is very clean. The Pho was ok. Not the best I've ever had. But far from the worst. We ordered 2 bowls of the chicken, lemongrass pho. It took 45 minutes to arrive at our table. I'm sorry. But Pho broth takes forever to prepare, like 6-10 hours, so it's usually done well in advance. Cooking the noodles is less than 2 minutes. I have NO idea what could possibly have taken that long. read more

I'm usually wary of fusion restaurants but wanted to try because I was craving good dim sum. We've dined here twice now, and each time it was great! The sesame noodles, dim sum items, and Taiwanese popcorn chicken are legit! The leftover chicken reheated very well in the air fryer the next day. The sauerkraut fish filets had nice flavors. I didn't realize it's more of a stew. I'll probably try the fish filet dry pot or twice cooked fish filet next time. The atmosphere is welcoming, and the staff is friendly. Upon discovering this gem of a restaurant, my girlfriend and I walked cautiously into what is now a staple of my family's ever shrinking restaurant rotation. The way we felt the first time we ate here is the same as every time we eaten here since...we are in bliss and culinary awe of how magnificent the food is. And the staff...is wonderful. Shirley, our appointed and forever waitress, is always great about making us good about our picks and will always suggest something different to try. And the owner, Jason...well he is a major part of why we come back again and again. He is friendly, welcoming and makes us feel like we are eating in his home. He treats us like family. The food...the food...is sooo good. The pho, the Szechuan dishes, the hot pots, the spice...all the dishes are all incredible. It's Szechuan cuisine, so it'll hurt. But it's that good kind of hurt. It hurts so much, but when the pain subsides, you want more. Also...do not miss the popcorn chicken...crispy, tender, juicy and fried along with Thai basil...I am salivating right now and getting ready to get there by 11:30...when they open. Really cannot say enough good things about this place. My partner and I initially worried given the combination in the name. Szechuan food with pho? And dim sum? Probably mediocre, right? Sounded like too many things in one. We couldn't have been more wrong. First experience was delivery -- we got a "deal" through a delivery app and so tried "basic" dishes like lo mein and fried rice. It was so good we were convinced we had to go into the restaurant itself and try the actual Szechuan food. We can't stop going back. The area is full of great options for Szechuan food, from Chef Zhang's and Han Dynasty in Cherry Hill to Dan Dan and e Mei in Philly...but Szechuan Village holds its own against all of them. In our opinion, it beats them on many levels. The Szechuan food is flavorful, consistent, and excellent quality. Their dan dan noodles -- excellent, with a slight vinegar backing that makes them notable. The dry pots (we've had many!) bring out the mala (numbing spice) flavor and are well stocked with meats and vegetables. And their Szechuan fried chicken...next level, from the slight crisp to the flavor...not to mention the fact that the chicken volume keeps up with the pepper volume on the plate. Not to mention what may be the best mapo tofu in the area. Seriously, we have not had a bad -- or even mediocre -- dish here. The restaurant itself is a pleasant, upbeat space. Lots of seating options for groups of all sizes. Service has consistently been both kind and efficient, which is always a plus. In case it's not obvious by this point, we really want this place to succeed. Selfishly, in part, because we would be sad to lose food of this quality in our area! read more

This new place which replaced Papa Noodles has an extensive menu of Szechuan, Vietnamese, dim sum, and the Americanized Chinese food favorites. We tried the shrimp pan fried dumplings, hot and sour soup, soup dumplings, beef dry pot, general Tso's chicken, and the house lo mein. Hot and sour soup was the only disappointing dish as it was neither very hot nor sour. Everything else was decent although the beef dry pot leaned on the spicy side as most Szechuan foods tend to. We weren't blown away by the food and overall, it was just fine. Perhaps better for Szechuan lovers who can handle the spice. Since our first visit a month ago we've visited them almost a dozen times, each time trying different dishes. Every time we were not disappointed. On the recommendation of some fellow foodies, I ventured to this restaurant. I was always skeptical because from the outside it always seemed closed. Boy was I surprised when I entered and the place was crowded! Lucky for me they did have a table. The inside is nicely decorated, noise level was not bad even with the place being packed. We were handed the book of a menu. It is extensive. So many options to choose from. We ended up ordering a wonton soup which had a rich brown broth, egg drop soup which was velvety and flavorful. The Szechuan wonton appetizer was amazing. Great wontons and super heat! Pan fried chicken dumplings were good. And the crispy beef appetizer was delicious. The crispiness of the beef and the sauce was out of this world if you like this style of beef. We didn't even get to order entrees we were so full! This is why we will be going back! The wontons had the perfect amount of mala spice, but weren't unbearable. Everything was delicious and decent portions. We added some fish sauce and chili oil to the mapo tofu, which made it even better. Quick service, fair prices, and a clean, ambient interior. With the down fall of Kings Palace we are looking for another location with quality food. We were not disappointed. Being our first visit we were very pleased with the overall experience. Our meal was the Kung Pao chicken and it was very good. The staff was friendly and provided excellent service.
