This is a Take Out Review Only. We didn't eat inside, even though the dining room was very clean. The Food is just fine BUT the problem was two-fold. First of all, when we walked in, the guy at the counter was ready to take our order, even though we weren't ready. He left and the woman who appeared to be the manager took over. She was off-pudding. Not rude, but definitely not pleasant to see us or help us decide our choices. Worse, one of us ordered the Pick Two items and she charged us for both SEPARATELY. Didn't tell us that mac and cheese isn't an option. When the choice is soup or mac, the "mac" meant macaroni salad, not mac and cheese. We Won't Be Back!!! read more

Wow! Pleasant surprise. Was not real hungry but wanted something substantial. Had the 1/2 sandwich steak sandwich and broccoli soup. Topped it off with passion fruit tea and the symphony of flavors were incredible! My other half had the chicken sandwich. Her sandwich was flavorful. Refueled and ready for the rest of the day. I ordered a breakfast sandwich with chipotle aioli and a Fuji apple salad. Food was ordered before 7am and ready by 7:10. The salad was excellent but I realized when I took a bite of the sandwich that they had substitute the aioli with deli chicken meat. I'm not a vegetarian but that's a big error. Went there for lunch 2 days ago, middle of the week with my wife. I could have lived with the $47 meal, but the food was awful. The French onion soup tasted like it was right out of a can, no cheese and 6 hard croutons. Had the chicken salad sandwich and there wasn't even enough to cover the bread, looked like they used a small ice cream type scoop! They tried to cover up the lack of CS with an over abundance of lettuce and tomatoes. The CS was watery and over mayonnaised too. The spicy chicken fiesta sandwich had a couple small pieces of chicken that was not enough for the baguette it was on. Everything seemed slapped together with little care! I never feel as though I get a product that supports the price. Today I got a soup and salad off the "value duets". My total was 7.99 plus tax, I would value the food I got at $3.50. My intention was to only eat one of them and save the other for later as I wasn't very hungry. I had first looked in the kids menu section, but when I realized that it was just as much cost wise I thought getting the full size stuff for a full size price seemed better, until I found the duets. There are few chain restaurants I will visit more than once and Panera is one of them. The atmosphere and environment is great for lunch. The service at this location is good. They are typically very fast and any time I've had an order issue they've quickly fixed it and apologized for the inconvenience. This particular location is a little behind the times in their ordering technology. Other Panera's I've been to have a fast order lane or pagers that let you know your meal is ready. Some have even delivered my food to the table. I'd like to see this location implement some of those to speed up its busy lunch service. The food is always consistent and delicious and fresh. My favorites are the Green Goddess Cobb and Turkey Chili on cold, cloudy days. Both have amazing flavor combinations never seem to get dull. If I'm feeling particularly frisky I'll add in a warm chocolate chip cookie to my order! Can't go wrong with Panera Bread - especially when you've ordered ahead on the app. When I want a "fancy" sandwich I go with Panera rather than another sub shop. My go to is Turkey Bacon Bravo. Something about the sweetness of the bread and that sauce. Nom nom! If I'm feeling super hungry I'll get a whole sandwich but most of the time I go with the "You Pick Two". It gives you the option of half of a sandwich with a cup of Mac and Cheese or Soup or Salad... I've never had French onion soup from any place except here, and it's good to me so... there ya go! I frequent Panera almost weekly. It is one of my favorite places, but my visit today was terrible. There were no regular at the kiosks. I went up to the counter to tell them there were no regular cups in the kiosk area and to ask for one. All the cashiers were busy and the manager was helping someone so I waited. I told him that there were no cups and he handed me a stack of cups as if I worked there and should put them out for everyone.... When I got my mac and cheese it was cold, so I told one of the workers only to be told that I can warm it up in the microwave myself... I was obviously offended by that and got angry. Be early if you want the souffles , they run out very fast and they don't make a lot of them, which is my only concern, if it sells by all means make it . I think they find pleasure seeing your face droop down knowing they ran out. The soups are awesome here and also the sandwiches, I appreciate this store because they got good service and its all made to order. The pastries are just right plus they make decent bagels. The staff is friendly and they will give you a bag of bagels(based on my previous experiences) before closing shop come around 8:15 and Wifi while you wait. Wherever you go, there is probably at least one Panera within 10 miles. Living in Cherry Hill, I have the option of a few Panera stores, but the Moorestown location is my favorite. This location is pretty big and offers alot of parking. The staff is normally very friendly and attentive. I've only ever had issues once, on a Sunday night when everyone was checked out and ready to go home. I personally always get the you pick two deals- where you can pick two half items. My staple is the fuji apple chicken salad with either a soup or sandwich. Panera serves Pepsi, so I normally skip the soda and add on a lemonade (no free refills for the lemonade). The portions are huge for "half" sizes on the soup and salad. You can upgrade the soup to a bread bowl. You can also add any bakery treat to a meal for only $0.99! Totally worth it. I always get the chocolate croissant and save it for my next day's breakfast. But the chocolate chip cookies are also delicious here. Make sure to sign up for the rewards card and register it online! You'll get tons of freebies just by using the card. In addition to the rewards card, Panera sometimes has specials, currently you can get a dozen bagels for $6 something. Panera is the perfect place to sit and have lunch with a friend, set up for a long day of study/working (free wifi), or just grab a quick healthy meal. read more

This business is nearby and was suggested to me by Yelp. I wanted to try it today. I called in an order, or tried to. First I was hung up on. Then they took my order over the phone, then said they could not take my order because I wanted to pay by cash. They told me go to the drive through. I arrived and there was no drive through. I called to see if they had my order and would bring it out. I had exact change cash and a good tip in hand. They said I would have to get a mask and go inside. The employees are great but like most businesses that offer delivery they have adopted the practice of a delivery charge. Unfortunately Panera is not very transparent about where the delivery charge goes. There is some confusion among customers who order for delivery that this $3 goes to the driver. That disappoints me about Panera because I want to like them and you'd think they would want the trust and respect of their customers and employees. The $3 goes to Panera and the delivery drivers are paid less than minimum wage. It's a money grab. They're stealing the tip from the driver. They do have a disclaimer but you really have to search for it and it's only after you click to tip and then click this tiny link for info which is hardly something you'd expect most people to do. Well, it's Panera bread. The kind of place you go to when you want fast food but you don't want crappy, fried, sodium-filled options (i think). My very first and favorite soup that I tasted was the butternut squash, now that's delicious. I haven't been able to catch it since that first time though because it seems to be seasonal. The sandwiches are pretty good, the options are great. I love the paninis, especially the turkey and kale. I tried the Chicken Won Ton soup and it wasn't that bad. The won tons were too big for my liking, but tasted good. The soup broth was very tasty and I had an apple as my side. While Panera wouldn't be my first choice when looking for a place to eat, it will do the trick. What I can say is that each time I have gone, and I have gone to different locations, the staff are very, very pleasant and they have great customer service. Yesterday I stopped by Panera for lunch and ordered their veggie sandwich. A delicious combo of veggies with feta & a pesto spread on sundried tomato bread. I normally always order the 1/2 & 1/2 and get 1/2 a sandwich and soup - but today I ordered the full sandwich. When my order came up -- there it was..right in the middle of the 2 sandwich halves -- I wasn't expecting it, but much to my chagrin- there lay a big juicy, runny PICKLE. I thought back... the woman who took my order did ask me what side item I wanted and I replied "Chips" - no where in our conversation did the word 'pickle' ever come up. Never. Now, for the record, I HATE PICKLES - probably more than anyone you've met. I don't like the smell, the taste, the feel. I don't want them near my food or my person. But there it was. Now usually, if I order a grill cheese at the diner I know some there's some schlub back in the kitchen whose only duty is to pollute my plate with these slimy little things, so I ask the waitress to make sure one doesn't appear. Maybe that'll even give the afore mentioned schlub a little break - time to go smoke or wash his hands. But I didn't see this one coming - it never came with the 1/2 & 1/2 I usually get. Pickles are like Germany in the 40's - they feel the need to spread their slime to all that they surround. And unless you stop them immediately, they will. This one was no exception. Even though I immediately removed it from my plate the second I got to the table, the damage had already been done. I used a napkin, so I didn't have skin-to-skin contact with the little bastard, but the pickle juice that remained behind on my plate mocked me. Now, I've been down this road before, usually in a diner, if I forget to declare my feelings or the overzealous schlub ignored the waitress's orders and put a pickle on anyway. I have also had the experience of KNOWING there was a pickle on my plate, but the waitress took it off before my plate came to the table. Nice try sweetie, but I know what went on here. At this point, I knew what must be done. Thus began the surgery-like process of removing the edges of bread that had been contaminated. I completed this task in a fashion that would have made Dr. Dwight Harken proud. I went on to semi-enjoy my sandwich but the smell and the memory of what had been placed before me lingered Pickles have no morals. They corrupt all they surround. Everything they come near tastes like pickles- and it got me to wondering: Do people who ACTUALLY LIKE pickles want everything else they order to taste like pickles? And if so, why not just order pickles? Why hasn't someone invented French fries or sandwich bread that already tastes like pickles? I'm sure that could be done. So, if this is such a desired taste, why hasn't it? Is it like the electric car? Are there Pickle Lobbyist in DC making sure no one cuts out the middleman? Do the pickles have a Union? I was out with my family yesterday shopping and wound up having lunch at Panera Bread.. It's hard as hell trying to find a place that will satisfy kids these days.. But this was a good choice. The atmosphere here is nice, clean, plenty of space between tables, and not very loud inside besides the music coming from the speakers.. Even though this restaurant, in my opinion, can be considered a fast food joint, it is nice to have your food made when ordered and plated very nicely, instead of taken from a heater lamp or refrigerator and handed to you in a bag.... I had a chicken cobb salad and a cup of black bean soup, my wife had an asian bbq chicken salad, my 16 and 11 year olds had smoked ham panini, and my 3 year old had a smoke ham and cheese sandwich.... All of that for around roughly $45.. not bad at all..... Everybody enjoyed their meals and the friendly staff.. I'll have to think of going here more often when I'm out with the kids. Especially since I could have gone through any drive through, which I'm not a fan of, and would have paid about $35 to hear someone at the speaker keep asking "is that all" after the first item is ordered, be given cold food which should be served hot, and an attitude from the cashier at the window while they're basically tossing a couple bags in your hand... read more
