We used to love Panera Bread and their fine foods, but after having our order messed up the past four times that we have dined with them, I am done. The last straw was tonight with half filled bowls of soup, no cucumbers in my wife's salad, and no chips (which I ordered) or bread for my order. I live locally in Northport been to this Panera many many times because of convenience. The last couple times I received my food wasn't very impressed. The green smoothie has no flavor taste like water and spinach with ice. The strawberry banana smoothie has way too much milk in it last time had to throw it out. I received cheese on top of my salad when specifically stating no cheese please. The last to go order I put in I asked the bagger who was checking the orders if everything was in the bag because I didn't want to come back after spending over $50 on lunch for three people, and go figure when I arrived home there was a sandwich and salad missing, With the courtesy of someone else's salad in the bag along with four cold soups. Tip for the cooks, make the smoothies last instead of allowing them to melt while making the rest of the to go order . Honestly not a picky food eater but for the money this place sucks . read more

So my boyfriend and I came here for a coffee late in the evening from 9 to close and soon after we left, we noticed I left my purse with my car keys inside the restaurant. The doors were locked when we came back. The employee inside answered the phone and told us she could not open the door to hand me my purse and that I had to come back in the morning when her manager was there. I've eaten here on my way to work quite a bit. Certainly, always a good experience had. The service is friendly, and the food hasn't ever disappointed. I've had perhaps, two instances where my order was incorrect. Two instances had, out of two-hundred, to put perspective. In those two, an immediate remedy was offered and on one I accepted. Ordered a half salad for 6 dollars rapid pick up. The container was 1/4 of the way filled. See pic. What a joke. This happens every time I go to the North Port location. They need to be trained better. This never happens when I go to the Venice or Sarasota locations. If possible avoid this location. Does not compare to the other locations. read more

This review is based on several orders from this particular Panera restaurant. We love Panera and order online from them weekly or biweekly. We are no longer going to be ordering from this Panera. EVERY time we order online and pick up our order there is something WRONG with it. Tonight the chips were not in the bag. We custom order my salad online adding extra items and taking some out. This is almost always messed up. Tonight, they forgot one of the added items. Also, my daughter and husband ordered BOWLS of soup and when we opened up the containers...they were half empty! This was the final straw! We paid for a full bowl. My husband had to make a sandwich b/c the soup was his dinner and they didn't even fill it half full! Plus, they are almost always of Asiago cheese bagels.If you are constantly out of something then you should make more! I have called and spoke with the manager but she said that we can drive back and get our missing food! NO! We are not wasting the time or gas money driving back to get something YOU forgot! She did not seem very sympathetic or even seemed to want to help us, honestly, she acted if she could care less. Maybe a credit for next time we order would have made this right? Over time, we have lost money that probably equals one complete meal due to their errors! I am also tired of seeing all of these advertisements that Panera delivers. REALLY? They don't deliver to our house and we live 3 miles away! My family likes the food and choices that are offered at Panera but enough is enough! You have now lost a customer that once gave you a lot of business! By the way, I would not base my review on just one visit. This has happened to us to many times to count. One good thing about this location is that they DO have a drive-thru which is good only if they can get the order right! Love the napa valley chicken salad sandwich. Wish there were more choices for the sides besides an apple, chips, or a very hard to chew baguette. The desserts are pretty tasty but the bagels do not compare to New York/LI bagels. read more

If you try to order a souffle online it says "not available". If you try to call in an order even with a credit card they tell you that that item is a" first come first served". So, drive over to the store and see if you are one of the "first come first served" because it is your time and your gas so they just don't care. read more

I use rapid pickup from Panera quite often and usually do not experience any issues. However, last night I made the mistake of not checking my bag until I got home and noticed that the two cookies I had ordered were not in the contents. I drove all the way back to receive my cookies and was informed by the employee up front that they were not in my bag because they were out at the time of purchase. I would expect to either be refunded the cost or at least be notified at time of purchase so I could choose a different item. I was given the privilege of picking out two substitute cookies from a cardboard box sitting up front with an assortment of discarded pastries. To say the least I was not impressed by this customer service and although I will continue to use rapid pick up from Panera Bread I was disappointed with this experience. I will definitely be checking my bag at the time of pickup from now on because I no longer trust Panera to properly fulfill my order. read more

Good food, fresh bagels. I wish they would bake a few more of the blueberry bagels in the morning. I love them but if I come too late in the day then I can't get my fix. The salads and sandwiches are good too. Some of the menu choices made by corporate in the last shake up I wasn't too fond of like doing away with the barbecue chix salad but its not the local store's fault. The outside dining area could use hosing down a bit more frequently, the birds like to hang out there and sometimes its hard to find a seat they haven't marked as their's if you know what I mean. read more

I just need to say, every time I go into this Panera bread, the cashier is wonderful, the person running the food is wonderful and the staff is all around happy. I always tip every person who services me in any way. I LOVE THIS PANERA. However, after I raved about how awesome the staff and coffee/food is I convinced my mother to get out of the house (a very bad day for her, the anniversary of my fathers passing away). So she decided to go through the drive through. At around 10-10:15am she ordered a large latte with skim milk and, not a big deal, it was made wrong with whole milk. She politely informed the tall gentlemen at the window that she had asked for skim milk and he argued that it WAS made with skim milk. (I tasted it, it was whole milk) She asked if he could please just make it over again and he furrowed his brow, glared at the coffee, then glared at her about three times and told her AGAIN that she was wrong. Already being upset and on the verge of tears all day she DIDN'T EVEN TAKE HER LATTE OR GET HER MONEY BACK and she just left :( . I'm so disappointed that this employee handled the situation the way he did. It takes 30 seconds to a minute to remake a latte and to make a customer who isn't even mad in the first place, happy with their service and order. Two words "I'm sorry" and thirty seconds of remaking a latte was too much to put a smile on a widowed 60 year olds face. I'm disgusted, I hope you know who I am referring to because we didn't get a name, and I hope he gets a position not dealing with customers because the customer is always right. Even if it WAS made with skim milk, you make a new one (I managed a dunkins and a five guys for a total of five years I know customer service and I know customers can be absolutely rude, awful, degrading and downright assholes.) But she wouldn't insult the devil himself. One incident like that goes from five stars to one star because of lazy and rude employees. I had a voucher that was sent to me because of a screw up on a breakfast sandwich in July. On the voucher it had beverage crossed out and UP2 on it and signed and dated by the manager. In the body of the voucher it said not to exceed $6.00. My husband used it about a month ago for two breakfast sandwiches and there were no problems. Today the cashier and also the manager who was called over would not honor it. Apparently UP2 means You Pick 2, but it is only for lunch or dinner items. No where on this voucher does it say that breakfast sandwiches would not be honored. I called Corporate Office in Tampa and they gave me a phone number for Corporate Office in St. Louis, MO. The Supervisor, Jessica again told me what UP2 means and that it is only for lunch and dinner items and in the restaurant it says what UP2 is good for. I told her that I felt the voucher was false advertisement and that I didn't believe most customers would understand the voucher. I thought it meant UP to 2 and not to exceed $6.00. She said she would take it up with Marketing. Very unhappy! read more
