Went back three times since my review, the staff is just horrible. One girl in particular is so rude, I can't believe she is allowed to work there. I like the Cobb Salad...I ordered it each time and each time it was a different amount, huge difference in size/weight. Not fair !! The first time it was very small, second time a bit bigger, third time it was very large. ???????? ALSO - the place needs to be cleaned well. It is not very clean. When someone is standing there looking at the menu. It should be obvious they don't know what they want yet. The employees and customers here don't seem to understand that. Instead they keep yelling out" next person on line." Even when you aren't IN line. You can be all the way over to the right near the wall and they keep calling out...and you can be the only one not ordered. Its not like in was holding up the line, I seriously took 30 seconds to look at the menu,because I haven't been here in a long time. So i have decided to update my review based on the experience that happened here last week. Now that this is the only Panera in our area (one on westport ave closed down) I am forced to go here if I want their food. I wanted their greek salad because it is so good so I waited in line to order my food. There was one person in front of us and the cashier was the same girl from last time (who acted pissed off because my dad had not known what he wanted). I gave her the benefit of the doubt, maybe she was having a bad day last time idk. So anyway we get the front of the line and the girl looks at us and decides to walk away from the register like no one is waiting in line. She proceeds to go talk to who i assume is her manager about how she made him a smoothie, we are still waiting there not be attended. After 5 minutes the manager turns around (drinking his smoothie) looks us dead in the face, turns back around. No one is still helping us. After another few minutes he looks over again and decides to finally come over. (The girl is still standing behind the food section talking to other workers pretending she doesnt see us). The manager comes over and instead of taking our order asks "is everything ok?" Like he is completely oblivious. I say "actually we have been waiting in line for a few minutes now can you please take our order". He takes our order finally and we go over to the side to wait for our food. This rude ass girl comes back and starts taking guests again. Idk what I did to piss her off but honestly she is the most rude incompetent worker i have ever seen anywhere. As i go to fill up my soda I ask this other guy who is actually doing his job, making the food if he has any straws because the straw thing is empty. The girl, super loud, goes "tell her we dont have any!" The guy then gives me the straw because he is a normal person. I again dont know what I did to piss this girl off. I dont really even know if I will come back after how I was treated. If you see a tallish girl with medium length brown hair at the register when you come in you should probably leave unless you want the worst service of your life. read more

I don't recall the name of the manager at this panera. Older woman with grey hair, long and wears glasses. I went to this Panera by DNV in Norwalk and notice a person sleeping on the ground by a van. He and his family were homeless. The family was in the van. I went to Panera to buy them breakfast and I was ordering OJ with their bagels. The cashier was super nice and called manager over and stated the purpose of my order all on her own. She asked her manager, if she could put the OJ purchase for the larger container they do for bigger orders, or corporate order? The woman asked me why? I said there are 6 homeless people in that van. She shrugged and said, so! She told the cashier I can't do it and walked away! What a heartless woman! I would never eat at that location again! Perhaps her lack of professionalism, empathy and care explains the low reviews for this store! If you are in that area, consider this family for a meal. I don't judge people! Therefore, how they got to this situation doesn't matter. What matters is what you can do for them in the present! What a heartless manager!!!!! read more

I typically order lunch from here and have no problems but today they served me a to go order with half a sandwich and it was missing nearly half of the bread on one side of sandwich. Highly disappointed that a staff member would think it's okay to make a sandwich without a full slice of bread! read more

I have a love hate relationship with Panera. I absolutely love all their salads and their soups but I cannot speak for their sandwiches. Although I can say that the guys on my team absolutely love their sandwiches. The service tends to be tube same regardless of which location you choose I've tried several locations in Norwalk CT and Erie PA to name a few and the service doesn't change. Their cashiers and the managers are extremely courteous, friendly and patient. If you want a relatively clean bite, clean environment, and good service I definitely recommend Panera. To be honest I'm not sure you can go wrong with anything on their menu it will taste great regardless what you choose. read more

Went to this location of Panera twice this week (no comments please) for a later dinner as it is much closer than the Westport Ave location. They are still working out the kinks, but the food was on par with other Paneras. If you go in the near future, I would recommend bringing your patience as you may have to wait in line a bit as the cashiers are still in training mode so it was taking a bit longer to wait on each customer. They compensated for the longer wait with their very friendly attitudes. The food prep area also had their share of employees who seemed to still be training, but the food came out quickly and my order was correct, so what more can I ask for. Both of my experiences were similiar, friendly service and good food. read more

I arrived at 8:00 pm. It was almost empty. There were at least three or four employees behind the counter talking and laughing. After waiting 15 mins for my "fast" food I got it. The soup was cold. When I complained to the person managing it they said to microwave it over in the back. They made me do their job for them. Do not come here. There is a subway less than 2 minutes away. read more

I have been a loyal customer since the day it opened. Ed first hired an outstanding crew. They have long left. Gradually the place has become sloppy and with some exceptions unfriendly. It certainly not expected to be fine dining but providing a pleasant experience and not shoving food sloppily in a plate should be doable. read more

Wanted to throw out a shout to the catering manager 'Mike' who assisted me with my order. There was an error and my card was charged for something I hadn't ordered. Ordered a coffee and the only options were whole milk or skim milk went back to the counter and ask for almond milk and was given additude. Was told, you should have asked in advance. I love Panera Bread- I have their soups and sandwiches as well as their breads quite regularly. But I was disappointed in my breakfast sandwich today... it was ok except for the fact this sausage, egg and cheese on an asiago roll only had a half a thin slice of cheese! Here's my issue with this location - my take out orders have been wrong 3 times! Yes, they always fix it, but COME ON. Annoying!

The food is fresh but the service needs to improve. They either get my order wrong or take 10 plus minutes to prepare it. Most of the time I am just ordering muffins but anytime I order a sandwich something is always mixed up. first time trying the place in Wilton and was very disappointed when i got back to my desk to see that i spent almost $10 for soggy bread and turkey crumbs. it was supposed to be their signature sandwich - turkey and cranberry panini - gross won't be going back to that place with other mom&pop shops who are trying to go above and beyond on value. read more
