Horrible customer service the person at the window shouldn't even be at the window. I asked for an everything bagel toasted two cream cheeses one on each side well hello would expect it to be spread. Visited location 1900 11 JUL 24 whilst westbound on 88. First three preferred menu items popped "sorry out of ingredients." Settled for 4th choice. Ordered ice tea. They were out at the counter dispenser, and despite being told three times over 55 minute visit, stayed out of ice tea. Just ended up drinking water from the soda fountain. Self service/ trash / bussing area was heavily littered with overflowing trash cans, with a scattering of drink lids and spilled beverages prompting me to slip and nearly fall. Sandwich was passable. Bathrooms accessible and acceptably maintained. Female companion claimed female bathroom had clogged toilet and overflowing trash can. Would continue to Binghamton//Scranton rather than visit next time. read more

The food here is good like most Panera Bread locations. I particularly like the self-ordering option on the i-pads at the door, minimizing human interaction and decreasing waiting time. If you don't know what to get here, the mac n' cheese will never disappoint! The roast beef and smoked gouda panini is also very good. The one thing i'd suggest improving on is the sitting area here. There are very limited booth seats. There aren't a lot of seats and they are all very close together, so one loud group ruins the experience for everyone else. The other seating option is outside, but those seats were covered in spider webs. There are people that come around to help collect plates and bowls which is nice. Plenty of parking outside and bathrooms along with free wifi are available. read more

I bought a salad and a drink at the drive-through. Told them to hold the chicken. I wanted the salad without the chicken. When I got up to pay they charged me for the chicken anyway. They told me it was the store policy to charge for the chicken whether I wanted it or not. So for $20 I got a wilted salad with nothing in it, a Stale Piece of bread and a drink that tasted bad. I had them add the chicken since I was paying for it. Needless to say, The chicken was like rubber with no taste. I'm not sure if all Paneras are like this. I lost $20 once. The woman assisting customers at drive-thru WINDOW on July 15th at 1:00pm was extremely rude! While visiting my mom from Florida I took her through because I wanted her to try their sandwiches. She's never been to Panera before and this woman was very short tempered with a face like she has never smiled in her life. If you don't want to work or hate your job, leave and find another where you don't have to deal with customers! I had trouble hearing her and she was straight up nasty having to repeat herself. This is a big location with plenty of seating. As usual the food was good. Panera is expensive but the food is very tasty.. The butternut squash soup is delicious. The salads are good. just let me say my problem is not with the quality of food, or any of the staff. MY problem is how much i was charged for what little i got. i ordered a 1/2 of a steak sandwich and a drink. my friends daughter got a childs size chicken noodle soup, with a drink and her mom just got a drink. my bill was $24.69!!! now, as i was saying earlier, the food was actually pretty good and EVERYONE who was working there at that time were nice and polite. i could have went to walmart and got a can of progresso soup for 1.50 and it ALMOST tastes the same. my steak sandwich had 2(TWO) thinly sliced pieces of meat on a 4 inch roll. Once again disappointed in our local Panera. Ordered a rapid pick up for a bagel pack which included 13 bagels and two tubs of cream cheese. They do not update their inventory online so it's possible like what happened to me, you place and order, drive all the way to the local Panera and they not have your order because they're out of stock. What a disappointment! I was told I didn't have to sign anything and that my order would be canceled and to expect a refund in 5 to 10 business days. I also find this unacceptable! I waited in the store until I saw the cancellation go through via email. I was not comfortable leaving the store without an order and not having any indication of a refund being given. I ordered a chicken caesar salad here without croutons specifically because I have celiac disease and cannot have them. I told them that I had a gluten allergy and after eating more than 3/4 of my salad, I found a crouton. Even having the crouton touch the rest of my salad can cause a reaction. This is unacceptable. I had a combo here today with half of the Sierra turkey sandwich and a bowl of the broccoli cheddar soup with a baguette. I originally ordered a frozen lemonade, but they were already out at around 1:45 p.m., so I stuck with water. The food was ready promptly and very yummy. The place could have been cleaner. There were several dirty tables and little bits of food and trash scattered all throughout the floor. We have Panera Bread in California and I was so happy to see somewhere that has healthier choices. However this store was out of everything. The lady in front of us couldn't get the sandwich she wanted because they were out of bagels. My daugther wanted the soup in the bread bowl but they were out of bread bowls. There were a few other people I heard that couldn't get their order because they were out of things. They didn't even offer a discount or alternatives it was like " I'm sorry we don't have that". Oneonta cannot even get a properly run chain restaurant. Been here a number of times, and disappointed each time, and probably won't return. The latte is incredibly inconsistent, was there 15 minutes before they stopped serving breakfast only to be told they weren't going to serve it anymore today since they "ran out of stuff" (God forbid they make it from scratch). Add incorrect orders to that, and the inability to wrap a sandwich so that it will even survive leaving the drive-thru window... and you have yet another joke of a restaurant. $4 for a what seems a 10oz latte? Mid morning staff need retraining in customer service skills! Listening to the entire order of what the customer wants is imperative in getting the order correct! I twice explained how I'd like my coffee at the drive through and kept hearing the girl speak over my voice, "uh huh, uh huh Yes I got it! Anything else?" I said " No, but I want to make sure you heard me? A small light roast with 2 creamers and 5 raw sugars on the side." Again she was speaking before I finished and said "uh huh, ok got it, that's it?" I said" both the creamers and 5 raw sugars are on the side, NOT in the coffee." She said " Yes, I got that!" I pull up to the window, pay for the coffee and the girl hands me the coffee and wouldn't you know it, the creamers and sugars were added to the coffee NOT ON THE SIDE! So, I inform the girl at the window and she spoke over my voice before I could finish speaking " we have other orders and she doesn't have a headset..." I said"EXCUSE ME, Again, you are speaking over my voice. Do you not hear me, the customer, talking? In customer service, it's important to LISTEN to what the customer is ordering and get the order correct. It does not matter that you are busy. YOU ARE BUSY taking customer orders. You need to listen to get them correct!" This is not free coffee and food. Customers have to pay for it ($$$ they're pricy) and we want what we order EXACTLY how we order it. Excellent service. Took my 1 year old for lunch and when the food was ready I hurried to get it while my son was in his high chair. The food was cooked to perfection, I had the mozzarella tomato basil panini and it was fantastic which is ironic cause I'm not that big of a tomato fan. I've gone to this Panera three times. The first time I did a drive up, I got a Cuban and a tea. It was good. The second time several weeks later I also ordered a Cuban, a drink and a chocolate quasant. While I was ordering at the counter what appeared to be the manager kept yelling at two other clerks on the other end of the counter over the head of my server to the point that I needed to repeat my order several times. I tried to get the attention of the manager but he was too busy criticizing the help!! Because of this I decided to take my food home. I discovered then that the roll was stale and I didn't get a chocolate quasant but a hard as a rock chocolate cookie. Because of my good experiences with the Kingston N.Y. Panera about a month later I tried again at the Oneonta Panera . I ordered at the drive through a chicken sandwich and a fruit tea to take home. When I went to eat the sandwich I discovered not only stale bread but icy wet cold chicken.The worse sandwich I have ever gotten anywhere! I was so upset I called the company and talked with a representative who was apologetic and told me to make amends they would send me a $10.00 gift certificate.The certificate never arrived and that was about three or four months ago or more.
