I walked into Tinos unsure of my expectations but they were beyond met! I tried a plain cheese slice to taste the base which was delicious. There was no overload on sauce it wasn't sweet and the crust was delicious!! Next I tried a buffalo chicken slice (my favorite) and it was SO GOOD!! I got a side of ranch with it which basically just topped it all off! Bit pricey per slice I will say but I'd definitely be back to order more pizza if I'm ever looking for something quick!! Girl at the register, receipt says her name was Harmony, was really rude when I asked the prices because there are no prices listed, only that "cold cheese" add on is $2.00. So after asking how much 3 slices (2 with cold cheese) she told me almost $20, so then I asked to change it up and the customer behind me started insulting me by thinking it was funny that I didn't know the prices. After being rudely interrupted by the customer the girl defends them when I got irritated in the store - after all of that she still didn't ring my order up correctly and then insulted me further by saying it would be another $4 for the cold cheese when she brought out my order. In town for a baseball tournament. After checking in to the hotel the kiddos wanted some grub. We walked up and down Main St. to see what we could find only to find only a few spots open. This place was crowded! Just at a glance looked like it was just another New york style pizza joint, by now I've had 4 different slices from four different places I thought how different could it be. They had a good variety on the menu. We ended up ordering wings, chicken ceasar wrap, chicken tenders, slice of pepperoni and just for the hell of it their upside down pizza (cheese first them topped with sauce). Let me tell you this place didn't disappoint whatsoever!! Wings were on point, we asked for well done, they were crispy, sauce was perfect. Ceasar wrap was delish, lettuce was fresh, not stingy on the chicken at all. It was light and refreshing. Pizza, my son said it was the best pizza he's had this trip. The chicken tenders, well they were pretty standard to my 9 year olds liking. The upside down pizza was the biggest shocker, this thing was crispy and loaded with flavor!! I FINALLY made it here for a slice of pizza with cold cheese! In the late 1990s, in my college days, a friend raved about this "famous" Oneonta pie! She would even get our pizza place in Troy to make one up for us! My husband and I stopped in on a quiet mid September afternoon as we drove from Albany to Ithaca, it was finally time to try this unique concoction. The pizza was fairly average, but the cold cheese on top made it next level. My husband had never heard of this concept before, so we each tried one. We ordered ours to go so the cold cheese was bagged, we received quite a generous portion. Not sure when I'll be back to Oneonta, but this was a good quick and reasonable lunch stop. read more

Staff is friendly and service was quick. However their staple slice that they are known for "cold cheese pizza" is vile. The idea sounds good in theory, but their choice of mozzarella, it tastes more like a smoked cheddar which is not appealing, and the sheer amount of cheese on it is unsettling. I brushed off all the cheese and ate the slice on its own which is in its own right, is sub par. Great for drunk late night snack, not for anything else. read more

I was in town for a baseball tournament and was staying at Deerhaven campground. The girl answering the phone was very pleasant and answered all of my questions. Delivery showed up on time and the driver was very friendly. The pizza I ordered was delicious but the wings were amazing. Seeing some of the reviews about drunk customers/patrons makes me glad I came here in the summer while college students were no where to be seen. My kids and I came here pretty late at night, about an hour almost before closing. It was nice and empty. There weren't many people around and the weather was nice and warm, so we grabbed a seat outside. We ordered a 12" inch pizza with half sausage and bacon, and half cheese only. I also asked for cold cheese on the side since everyone seemed to rave about it. The pizza was freshly made and the ingredients used were good quality. The cheese was hot and gooey and the crust was perfectly cooked. The bacon and sausage was made from quality meats. I also put some cold cheese on mine and honestly it was just ok with the cold cheese. The pizza was tastier and I enjoyed it more without the cold cheese. The only thing I'm deducting points for here was the sauce. I could hardly taste it and felt it could've used more. Not sure if that's a New York pizza thing though. This Oneonta staple under new ownership has definitely disappointed our visit pizza is lacking of craftsmanship perhaps inexpensive ingredients? A total fiasco when we order wings ask for buffalo mild the flavor was awful the smell was of spoiled and the look was like the wings were from the garbage one word disgusting! Expansive and the help is always rude and short that's when they not outside the door smoking who knows what not what it use to be. Place always smells like dirty oil burning maybe that explain the color of my wings. Cheap paint and frames does not replace a tradition of good food. Won't be back. Don't waste your money. Tino's staff is awesome. They have a great assembly line going, and have you in and out within minutes. Huge variety of slices, and always fresh. I work late nights some days, and this is always a reliable place to stop by for a quick bite on break. Have not tried any of their entrees or subs, but sounds like the basics from a pizza shop. This was the first restaurant I went to in Oneonta when I first toured the SUNY campus 4 years ago. This is the place to be on a Friday night and Tino's has the best garlic knots I've tried from anywhere. I've tried the cold cheese, BBQ Chicken, Artichoke, and General Tso's slice. Tino's is conveniently located in the center of main street. If you park at the huge parking lot and walk right over the bridge, Tino's is right there. It's a one minute walk from the OPT main bus stop. All roads lead to Tino's. The only downside to Tino's is that it gets pretty packed on St.Oney's day, Friday and Saturday nights and does not have a bathroom, so if you're standing on line for a long time or want to wash your hands, you'll have to look elsewhere.
