I FINALLY made it here for a slice of pizza with cold cheese! In the late 1990s, in my college days, a friend raved about this "famous" Oneonta pie! She would even get our pizza place in Troy to make one up for us! My husband and I stopped in on a quiet mid September afternoon as we drove from Albany to Ithaca, it was finally time to try this unique concoction. The pizza was fairly average, but the cold cheese on top made it next level. My husband had never heard of this concept before, so we each tried one. We ordered ours to go so the cold cheese was bagged, we received quite a generous portion. Not sure when I'll be back to Oneonta, but this was a good quick and reasonable lunch stop.

This is one of those must eat locations in the area. Great pizza. Friendly service. Nice open restaurant with plenty of room. Can't go wrong.

    Cold cheese pizza slices

Staff is friendly and service was quick. However their staple slice that they are known for "cold cheese pizza" is vile. The idea sounds good in theory, but their choice of mozzarella, it tastes more like a smoked cheddar which is not appealing, and the sheer amount of cheese on it is unsettling. I brushed off all the cheese and ate the slice on its own which is in its own right, is sub par. Great for drunk late night snack, not for anything else.

Late night baseball game and nothings open? Check out Tino's Pizzeria! We were so relieved to see them open about midnight after a game at Cooperstown ASV. They were literally life savers. The service was fast and attentive! Delicious pizza. We ordered a large pizza to go and had a few slices at the restaurant. I would definitely recommend if you're in a pinch. Ambiance is what you would expect from a pizza joint.

Good atmosphere . Prices are high for the quality of food. Great for late night bites.

12 inch freshly made pizza. Half bacon/sausage, half cheese only.

Absolutely INCONCEIVABLE how amazing this place is! We…read morerecently stayed in the area for a youth baseball tournament in Cooperstown and ended up eating here THREE nights in a row--that is how phenomenal it is. The food is incredible. The owner and chef is immensely talented, serving up fresh, farm-to-table dishes. Because everything is so fresh, the specifics change nightly, but everything we ordered was a huge win. The beef carpaccio was dynamite, and the Prosciutto Pizza, house-made focaccia bread, "farm goodies," bolognese, hangar steak, and caprese ravioli were all absolutely delicious. You can taste the quality and care in every single bite. (Sorry no pics...we were too busy eating!) Beyond the stellar food, the cocktail menu is an absolute blast. They have a whole lineup of delicious, creative craft drinks with "The Princess Bride" themed names! Trying the different drinks became half the fun of our dinners. What truly sets this place apart, though, is the service. We had a server named Beth whom we absolutely loved. By the third night, she knew exactly what my daughter wanted to drink as soon as we sat down! The owners and the entire staff are warm, welcoming, and treat you like family. If you are anywhere near Oneonta or Cooperstown, do yourself a huge favor and eat here. We will definitely be back the next time we are in town!

It's an older house painted red with black trim, featuring a newer deck that, at least when we visited, had no furniture on it. At first glance, you might assume it's a neighborhood sports bar or a casual local hangout. Step inside, however, and you'll find something completely different. The atmosphere is warm, intimate, and inviting, with a classic dining ambiance that makes it feel like a hidden gem tucked away in the neighborhood. We were in Oneonta for Cooperstown All Star Village and were excited to discover this cozy farm-to-table restaurant. The food was excellent, and the setting made for a memorable dining experience. We started with the Crab Puffs, made with empanada dough, crab rangoon filling, and a jalapeño-green onion emulsion. They were creative, flavorful, and a great way to begin the meal. For our entrée, we shared the daily fish special, halibut served with farm-fresh potatoes and carrots. The fish was perfectly cooked, and the fresh ingredients really showcased the farm-to-table concept. The dish was simple, fresh, and delicious. To finish the meal, we shared the Crème Brûlée for dessert. It was outstanding, with a perfectly caramelized sugar crust and a rich, creamy custard that provided the perfect ending to an excellent dinner. Despite the restaurant being packed, we were seated immediately and received excellent service throughout the evening. The staff was attentive, friendly, and kept everything running smoothly. The drink menu was another highlight, offering a solid selection of craft beers, wines, and cocktails. Overall, this was one of the best meals we had during our trip. Great food, excellent service, a cozy atmosphere, and a unique setting make this restaurant well worth seeking out if you're in Oneonta.

The new owners have turned it into something totally different, as I discovered earlier this month. The only original menu item that has survived is the "famous" Hot Open Veggie, which is more or less the same except you can't add tofu or tempeh without paying for the full side order. Also, they ditched the amazing tofu marinade for... no marinade? It had no flavor, and the tempeh was cut into skinny triangles and all dried out. It used to come in cubes, and was an awesome addition to Hot Open Veggie. I couldn't eat it. Where is the tempeh burger? It used to be so delicious. I was going to come twice in one day to get both. I ended up leaving after my disappointing meal, the first one I've ever had at The Autumn. Can someone pay some attention to what has kept that place open for like forty years? I guess not.

The atmosphere looked promising - rustic, simple - all the signs of a good, comforting restaurant. I took one look at the menu and something truly stood out - a 3 pound tomahawk steak. Perfect for sharing with a friend or two! When the steak came out, I was in shock. I have never seen that much meat on a single platter, let alone a single tomahawk - it was truly a big steak. The steak itself was done nicely - I have no complaints. It's meat, grilled - and to the doneness I expected. My problem was the sides, which honestly could have been a bit better. The potato didn't really come with much more than a slice of melted cheese and bacon (would have liked chives or sour cream, or even a noticeable amount of butter), and the onion rings were fairly lackluster. The "seasonal vegetables" that came with the steak were also a very modest portion of... carrots. Just carrots with a sweet glaze. Not necessarily bad carrots (maybe slightly underdone), but I expected... at least one other vegetable. I think some more variety to the veggies (plus just more to eat alongside this monstrous steak) would have made this much more of an enjoyable experience. I definitely walked out that night feeling full, but not truly satisfied. My partner-in-crime and I did finish almost the entire steak, after all. Next time, maybe I order less - but I'm still going to be wary of the overall quality of the food coming out of the kitchen.
