Me and my boyfriend were in Prescott on our mini vacation from Tucson and we went shopping to target and we decided to eat Panera Bread, our first time. We liked the idea of salad and soup. So we went to the drive-thru. I ordered a cobb salad and a black tea. My boyfriend ordered a potato soup. We came to a stop to eat. And my tea taste expired like it's been sitting there for weeks, made me sick. And the salad was not that good either. My boyfriend's soup taste bland and flavorless. Also the bread was hard as a rock. Definitely never coming back there again. Idk if it's just the location or the entire business. I would rate this a negative zero if I could. read more

Mediterranean veggie sandwich falls apart when lifted. Everything except the lettuce is chopped in small pieces. Onion is sliced but is too thick. I always ask for the tomatoes on the side otherwise it's a soggy mess. The best vegetarian sandwich has thinly sliced onions, cucumber tomatoes and peppers. The crust on this bread is almost impossible to cut. Be careful of your teeth! read more

I placed a Rapid Pickup order yesterday for 1 Ricotta Sacchettini Pasta with Chicken Bowl and 1 Thai Garden Chicken Wonton Bowl. I arrived about 10 minutes later, picked up some cookies at the bakery and went to the Rapid Pickup area where the server had my order ready. I thanked her, left the restaurant and drove home, about 20 minutes away. Imagine my surprise when I opened the bag and discovered, yet again, that the CHICKEN wasn't in the Thai Garden CHICKEN Wonton Bowl. After my experience in December (no chicken in the Lentil Quinoa Bowl with Chicken that time) I should have checked what was in the bag before I left the restaurant, but who would have thought it would happen twice??? I've never had this happen at any other Panera's anywhere else in the country (Wichita, Cincinnati, Fayetteville) I've order from. We won't be back, there are too many other restaurants that "get it right" in the Prescott/Prescott Valley area to bother with such bad service. read more

I have gone here 3 times in the last 2 weeks. The service and attitude of the staff has been way below par, from what I have experienced in the past. This has always been my go to, when needing a quick lunch or dinner, as I felt it was much healthier than McDonalds. However, when given the wrong breakfast sandwich, the first response I got from the drive through server was that she would give me a different bread to put it on. How does one transfer melted cheese from one bread to another?? She seemed genuinely astounded that I wanted it remade . . . Not to mention, annoyed. Yesterday was the final insult. I went to the drive through and ordered the grilled steak and cheese, one of my favorites. I was told to drive around to the front to wait and it would be brought out to me. I was a little surprised, as there was no one behind me in the drive through. After waiting 15 minutes, much longer than this sandwich takes, I went inside. Not an easy feat, as I wrecked my knee and wear a full length leg brace. Three people were behind the counter - one cleaning, one standing (who told me another would help me) and the third, who asked what she could do for me. I explained the situation and she asked my name. I told her that I went through drive through and they don't take names. She left and then came back, asking what I ordered. I told her and she came back with my sandwich, stating that they were short on "runners" to the parking lot. There were only 2 customers in the dining room, and both had their meals . . . SERIOUSLY??!! As I returned to my car, the car that pulled beside me, as I was walking inside, was getting her meal delivered (that would have been less than a 5 minute wait from order to delivery)! No apology, just an excuse that didn't ring true. Enough of bad service and bad attitudes. I tip when I order and expect better. If you all want better pay, start training your staff to provide better service. read more

SUPER LONG PANERA BREAD REVIEW I don't typically post negative reviews anywhere really, but I felt compelled to post over my weekend experience with Panera Bread. I will preface this by saying I currently work as a server and have spent a lot of time working in various restaurant positions over the years. I am the most understanding person when it comes to food service and I understand bad days.That being said, Panera's food has always been spot on for me. There was one time my chicken was left off a salad, but no big deal. However the customer service and organization severely needs some repair. I also work up at the mall, and I discovered that Panera would do delivery. This is great for someone who wants to eat a little healthier and only has a small window of time for their lunch break. When I called to place a delivery order, they let me know that they only deliver mon-Thursday until 3pm. No biggie, so I called in a pickup order so I could just run down and grab it. I did this Friday, Saturday and Sunday . Friday , I called in and my order was taken via pen and paper according to the girl on the phone, and I was told it would be ready in 10. Arrives there 15 minutes later, I walked in and saw that there is a separate counter that is labeled 'pick up' or something to that effect so I stood over there for a moment and didn't see anybody. Returned to the main counter and asked the girl how everything works with pickup and she said since I hadn't paid already to come up to her register. She asked my name, and I explained that nobody took my name down. She fumbled with some pieces of paper, went back to ask the kitchen something, and then entered my order manually and I paid. She seemed very out of place and not very informed or involved in what is going on around her. She asked which side I wanted, I told her no side for me, waited maybe 2 or 3 more minutes for my food, got it and left. Saturday I called, same girl answered, this time I OFFERED my name. Same drill, written down order that has to be manually punched in once you wait in the regular line. Nobody asked what side I wanted this time, got nothing. Not sure if she just remembered me and that I don't like a side or if they forgot. Sunday I called, this time a different girl. She asked my phone number and name and told me to hold while she got a pen and paper. Took down my order, didn't ask about the side, and then asked 'what time do you want this ready by?'. I explained to her that when I had called previous days they just fired it right away. And that I work up at the mall and just come grab it as soon as I go on lunch. She said something to the effect of 'oh okay cool bye' and hung up. When I arrived, I waited behind one person for just a few minutes, and the girl this time was a little more peppy, but still seemed uninformed and uninvolved. She started typing up my order and I asked if there were any cheese danishes left. She said 'uhhh there should be' and never confirmed or checked for me. I declined adding on a drink and pastry as a result. I slid my card, and it must have needed some confirmation or something on her end because it never completed on the card reader. I started to bring this up, but she actually cut me off to ask me questions about my tattoos and stretched ears. Like a LOT of questions. I never mind curious people with questions, but in this moment I'm in a rush to get back to my job so I can eat. Finally she realizes and taps something on the screen, and then pick up HER PHONE and begins texting as I'm right in front of her. I finish paying, she says 'let me go get your food' and comes back after a moment saying 'there was a computer glitch and they didn't get your order so they have to make it now' ... which would seem to contradict the whole taken-by-hand thing that occurred. So basically, I assuming she just forgot to run my order back to them. I've already been here ten minutes. So I wait, decide to buy a drink and a cookie after all since I have to wait anyways .. got back in line and waited behind a guy, and then she did give me the cookie for free. I walk back to get my drink and as I come back up to the register I hear the kitchen staff saying 'well which side?' So I make myself accessible near the registers thinking they might pop out to ask, and they did. Only they looked right at me and right at the girl working and didn't say anything. Right before my food was brought out, a woman came out and asked if I needed anything, I told her I was waiting for my to go order. She directed me to go wait by the OTHER window. My food came out by the registers as soon as she said it, so I got my food and left. As I walk out, i notice a cheese danish in the pastry case, in the wrong area. I got one of each side in my order. I arrived back at work with 7 minutes left in my break. In short, I'm just really confused. Is this how the pickup ordering system is SUPPOSED to work? Why is this so disorganized? read more

I I have eaten at this Panera Bread two times now. The food is good quality-li like the salads and desserts. However, both times I have been here it has been filthy! The restaurant was pretty empty both times as it was midday, yet there were dirty plates, etc, all over the place and the garbage was overflowing. This made for a poor dining experience. Although I like the menu I won't eat here again because it is so dirty. read more

Panera tastes pretty good but they give you small portions and you're still hungry afterwards. If you don't like to eat a whole bunch or be full than this is the place for you but me personally I like to eat a some what filling meal after a long day at work. I ordered what they call a whole salad there and it was more of what was half a salad. I was starving after still. The quality of the food is pretty good but 11 dollars for a salad that was not filling sucks. Not the cheapest for hardly anything although yummy. read more

We love the food here. The power kale chicken Caesar is delicios, as well as the lentil quinoa chicken bowl. We have also had great service! I love to stop in on busy errand days, the atmosphere is great to wind down and relax for the meal. And the view is spectacular! read more

The variety of food and freshness is well-known at Panera. Went to the new Prescott location, service was good. Had the bread bowl with broccoli cheddar soup. A suggestion to Panera... please hollow out the bread a bit more please. You barely get 1/2 cup of soup. Oh and one more thing... don't serve a bread bowl with your roll. Kind of redundant, don't you think? Maybe a bag of chips, a little salad or applesauce would be much better. read more

I stop into this Panera at least once a month and each time I leave disappointed. The portions sizes have been cut back considerably since they first opened. Today I receved a half Caesars salad that barely reached the middle of the small bowl and on top of that most of the lettuce was yellow. The cuban sandwich I had did not have very much meat on it. It took nearly half an hour to get the food. The staff is not prepared to handle a busy lunch time. We tried to order at the self serve kiosk only to realize there were no more trackers at any of the kiosks, the staff's response was "we're really busy". Had to wait in line to order at the cashier for nearly 20 minutes. read more

I'm very conflicted about this place. Great location and, for the most part, good food. I like their menu way better than Wildflower. Unfortunately they lack in both service, quality control, and customer care. They seemed to have opened too soon and weren't ready or trained properly to accommodate actual customers. They make a big deal about "making it right," but in my experience they haven't even tried, even when given the opportunity. I will give them one or two more chance, but I'm close to being gone! read more

First time here, ordered the Four Cheese Souffle (was the last souffle left) and a Latte. The Souffle was very salty, the Latte was decent. As others have stated, the tables were cleared but not clean. Seems like a popular place for retired folk. I probably wouldn't come back. read more

Very sad to go at 10:30 and not be able to get the bagel I want because they are already out of them. This is a bagel and bread shop - I thought. To be out of certain bagels 3 hrs after you open and you have 10 more hours to be open. Pathetic!!!! read more

This place has turned out to be a disappointment. I've given them multiple chances over the last year and I've finally decided I can't keep fishing in shallow water and give the fish all the blame. My original peeve of dirty tables was ever present and I don't think I had a visit where I had friendly service AND a correct order. (I'd pay extra for add-ons like avocado or hard boiled eggs and not receive them or the correct side so I started checking for correctness before I left the building-sorry they have an issue with this especially if a customer points out POLITELY that there have been issues with previous orders and an issue is discovered with the current order...instead of apologizing and making the order correct getting snippy) I was so frustrated i just ignored the place for about 6 months until October when the cherry vanilla breast cancer support bagels were available so I went through drive through and ordered 6 of them a latte. My latte was maybe 1/2 full and not that great and there were 5 bagels in the bag. I give up. I got a survey a couple of days later and said I really loved the place but would not be returning anytime soon. Haven't heard anything from that. Sorry Panera, you lost me. read more

On July 5th I ate at the Prescott AZ Panera. I never saw any adults in the kitchen, at the register or as servers. Just a bunch of giggly teenagers paying no attention to customers, wiping tables, etc. When our order arrived, it had 2 full sandwiches for a pick 2 order and a bowl of soup. When we asked why we were given 2 sandwiches instead of 1 as stated on the order, the teen didn't know or care. He said he would bring us a box to take it home in. Does Panera know that he is giving away their profits? My salad had some really nasty lettuce in it and consequently I didn't eat very much of it. We had an even worse experience with this establishment in Palm Springs CA. And we came home sick. Eat here at your own risk! read more

Today my Mom and I went here and we had to let them know there were bugs in my soup flying around and in my Greek salad and ice tea. The woman next to meet almost threw up when she found them in her soup. Despite the fact we all received a refund we will never eat there again. The service was exceptional! Due to my food allergies, I can't just go anywhere to eat. My husband & I were on vacation in Prescott and it was lunch time. I was nervous & didn't know what I could eat. The supervisor was phenomenal. She took the time to help me out. She looked up the ingredients in their meals and she was able to help me find what I could eat based on my allergies. We used the kiosk to customize my order and our food came out great. This was the first place I had eaten since discovering my food allergies. The supervisor on shift that Saturday was a brunette female, unfortunately I forgot her name. She went above and beyond to make my dining experience wonderful again. She was very helpful and gave me so many helpful hints to use when ordering meals. Our experience was horrible. I ordered a Caesar Salad -- it was like eating anchovies straight from the can. I took one bite and couldn't eat the rest of the salad. My grilled cheese was o.k., I make better grilled cheese at home. We also ordered a sandwich that had rotten avocado on it. You could clearly see the black and brown portion of the avocado. The noodle salad was disgusting. But to top of the visit - A manager was dropping food off at a near by table and when he bent over to place the plate down... We could see almost his entire butt crack. Talk about losing your appetite. I did complain about the food and explained that it was my first time eating there and I would never be back.. he did refund my entire check. It seems as though my experience of poor customer service continued with other customers as well. The managers passive aggressive stance when asking for something as simple as a receipt seemed to continue with poor food quality. Another customer expressed the fact that her dish was cold and asked to have it heated up a bit in the microwave. Clearly, this one ask was much to difficult for a company that serves food. Ordered the half chicken caeser salad to go. I asked the staff how big the half salad was. She shows me a decent size bowl stating, "it will fit this size bowl." "Okay", I say, "I'll get one to go." Got back to work, opened my bag to a very small size paper box. TINY! Glad I didn't buy the full size, which would have been the size of a half-sie at ANY OTHER establishment! Terrible, terrible, terrible! I thought I would give them a try and was very disappointed. Used the drive-thru. Was initially very impressed with the speed in which I received my food. Once I tasted my sandwich it became apparent that it was not freshly made. The bread was already soggy around the edges, and I had to search for the filling--very little of that to be found. My husband's sandwich was just as bad. The two salads were nothing to write home about and turned limp (without dressing) very quickly. For the $20 (two half sandwiches, two small salads) I will not return. Sticking with Wildflower, which is close by and does a much better job with gourmet sandwiches! read more

My wife and I went there one time (Panera Bread in Prescott Az.) and that was it, we dont even think about going back, the food is not good at all, not very much to eat and very over priced. Its not a warm or comfortable place to be in with plain cold boxes to pick up the food. The location and veiw of the town is the ONLY plus. What bothers me the most is the company bought all of the Paradise bakerys in the Phx area and turned all of them into the same cold non welcoming empty room that used to be a very nice place to sit eat and visit with family, I went into the one on Happy Valley Rd. Phx. Az. there was 2 people other than myself and for years on Satarday the place was always full of happy people all day long, no more, one of the staff asked if she could help me? This location recently opened up and my husband and I were looking forward to going to lunch there. I could not get off work, so he went through the drive-thru and brought it to me. The intercom at the drive thru cuts out, making it impossible to order. He had to drive to the window to be ask about adding a sandwich to go with his soup, which he did order and pay for, but they didn't not include it. I ordered a Thai Chicken Salad. The ingredients are: "Chicken raised without antibiotics, romaine lettuce, Thai cashews, fire-roasted edamame, red peppers, carrots, fresh cilantro and crispy wonton strips tossed in our low-fat Thai chili vinaigrette and drizzled with peanut sauce." Mine had chicken, one sliver of a red pepper, no carrots, possibly a few specks of cilantro, black beans or burnt edename and a blueberry, with a big blob of peanut sauce in the middle, mostly stuck to the lid of the salad. Mostly just lettuce and no Thai cashews to be seen. My husband ordered the Soba Noodle Bowl with Chicken with Mediterranean Sandwich. There was a mound of ground chicken on the top, instead of the nice pieces you see laying on the top of the soup in the commercial. I can't tell you about the sandwich because they never included it. Went there today with a friend...anxious to try it. I got a half sandwich and cup of soup with iced tea. I feel it was mediocre at best and very overpriced. Almost $12. I did not eat the bread because of some weird sauce on it...very grainy and bitter. All in all, not a terrific experience. Worst lunch experience I've ever had. I ordered the Pick 2 steak and cheese sandwich and a 1/2 bowl of Mac and Cheese. The sandwich came out on 1/4 of a focaccia bread (about the size of a small slice of pizza, very small). It literally had one slice of roast beef on it and I couldn't find any cheese. The mac and cheese was less than a cup of food and was less than room temperature when served at the table. For these two item alone I paid between $9.50 and $10.00!!!!! My wife had the 1/2 order of salad and a cup of soup. Salad was mostly lettuce a few paper thin slices of chicken and half filled a small bowl. The soup was also room temperature when it came to the table. We paid between $8.50 and $9.00 for those two items. Add in a soft drink and the bill came to over $20.00. For the quality and size of the portions, half that price would have been appropriate. I should have taken pictures, Will never suggest Panera Bread to anyone for any reason. There are much better and more affordable restaurants in the area. read more
