I have tried so many things here and will keep coming back! Love calling ahead and having it ready for me

I ordered catering at 7 am of 12 bagels sliced, 2 sets of cream cheese, one box of coffee. I called the number on the website. When I arrived at 8:45 to pick up... All the workers were confused. One girl sent me to catering ( she was the most helpful). Catering women was on the phone and didn't acknowledge my presence at all. Finally she did and her most concern was "well did you speak to catering". I said yes I was transferred to catering when I called. Unfortunately her response was "well it wasn't me". I ended up waiting for 40 minutes while the got the "coffee" box together. Keep in mind I was now already 45 minutes late for the meeting I wanted to surprise my team with bagels and coffee. The catering women handed me the coffee with a annoying huff in her voice as if I did something wrong. Lesson for the day... Don't go to Panera at the riverside location. read more

After reading the mixed reviews about the IE Panera Bread, my daughter and I thought we would give it a try on a Saturday morning. It was rather busy, but nothing over the top . Both the coffee , pastry, and breakfast sandwiches were adequate... nothing really extraordinary.. And the sandwich ingredients were not generous. So, if you find yourself in the area and wanting more options than a coffeehouse, it will pass! read more

For two sandwiches and two soups, $30? Ok, I suppose. My gripe is not about the food or pricing since it was "ok". The place with filthy, food all over the floor. The staff had apparently known about it but were too busy doing other things to clean up. Benches are coming apart from their backing so food and debris in the crevice....yuck. McDonalds is cleaner than this place and I wouldn't have spent $30 on overpriced food! When I let the GM know about it, he was aware but didn't seemed concerned about the appearance of his location. I've been coming to Panera for the last 2 years and everytime I come like around 7 o'clock at night they are out of Bagel's

I've been here many times, always ordering to go and its been fine. Wasnt really happy this time. App wouldn't let me order saying they were closing early even though it was like 2 hrs before they closed. They didnt put my salad in the bag, good thing i checked! Then I get back to the office and find no utensils and they've been as skimpy on the lettuce in my salad as starbucks is with filling their cups. I've noticed it kind of universally before...theyre really chinsy on the salad to go and the meat servings are definitely less than one might expect. Except for today when i got like three pieces of lettuce with all the toppings of my greek goddess salad. Not saying ill never go again...prob avoid it for awhile, like starbucks, then give in on an offday. I've always liked their chai tea latte and their sweetened iced green tea is good. Probably just an off day for them but I feel like I'm usually bummed about something when I go. They're probably a solid 3 normally but today, today its a 1.5/2. read more

I love Panera, just an overall great place. Loved the Cinnamon Crunch scone, I recommend it for sure!

One star rating for the dirty tables. Employees walk around, pick up dishes and don't wipe down the tables.

I eat at this Panera 3 days a week (my work days). The cashiers know my order without me saying anything. Everyone from the order counter, to the busboys are friendly and outgoing. I have eaten at a few other Panera's but I feel this one is the best (possibly I'm just use to the way they make my sandwich). I highly recommend the Napa almond chicken salad sandwich (hold the tomatoes) and their broccoli cheddar soup. read more

Great service. They just put in some fast lane kiosks and one of the cashiers was out this morning helping explain how to use them. I was in and out extremely fast. I definitely recommend getting a membership card there too. You get all sorts of deals and rewards after so many visits. It tells you on the receipt how many more visits until your next reward, which is usually a free bagel or a pastry or coffee. read more

I love the food, pastry, and drink selection here. It can be hard to find chains with the quality cafe style line of food. There is a large variety of options from pastas, broth bowls, soups, paninis and plenty of pastries to choose from. Vegetarians and vegans have a ton of options here. They are always ridiculously busy, but there is a pick up section for pre orders and computers to do self service and with iced mocha on the list and amazing carrot muffins, this will turn into my morning stop. I'll be changing my starbucks gift card for a Panera rewards card. The general $9 dollar per meal charge is especially nice when any side added is only $2.99 more and pasties go to 99 cents. They also do seasonal iced teas and I am impressed at there decent iced green tea. These prices are especially nice with higher quality restaurant food. read more

Panera is 5 mins away from my job so it's always a go to lunch spot for my coworkers and I, but today's experience gave me a change of heart. We placed our order online as usual but today I had to change the time of my pick up, I called them up and I was placed on hold for 20 mins, yup you read that right TWENTY MINS. During that time I repeatedly tried calling from another phone and could not get a hold of any one, finally someone answered the call giggled when I kindly expressed how upset I was for waiting and said she just changed my pick up time and went about her day . So of course 10:20 comes around my food is not ready and we had to wait longer. I called back to speak with a manager and the same female cashier who was suppose to change my order time remembered me and when I said my food wasn't ready on time all she could say was "uh huh is there something you needed?" what I needed was better customer service. If she was my employee I would remove her from answering phone calls immediately because she had horrible mannerisms. I have never been so belittled by an establishment like this before. The only thing that some what saved this horrendous experience was the kind manager Stacey who got on the line and apologized. I was not calling for a free meal or a refund all I wanted was the respect I deserved as a customer. As for now I'm not even sure if I'll go back. read more

i am here all the time out of convenience and partly by choice, since i live within walking distance but i generally like panera. this review isn't for people who have never been here before. there's this new lady who is older and completely frazzled. all the time. god help that poor woman. the rest of the workers who happen to be younger females never help her and the other day i heard them complaining about her in the back where they make the food, as i was waiting for my to go order. they basically said that they could handle the morning something something - i forget what they said, but they were referring to the first "rush" of people who come in after you just open (yes i was there at an ungodly hour). and they were saying frazzle-lady's behavior was unwarranted because they could handle that and it was nothing. frazzle lady was sweating at mostly her upper lip. it was an uncomfortable situation. but i know what those girls feel like because i was in a situation similar, and sometimes people overreact and cannot handle customer service. they should get another job, to be frank. but then again, it was bad customer service to be talking crap like that in front of me. because i yelp EVERYTHING. /endgossip read more

I honestly haven't eaten here many times. In fact I just went here for the first time the other day. (Previous times someone else has picked up the food) Anyways, it was quite hectic inside. Very busy and crowded, and there was also a long line. When it came time to order, it was very complicated. Because I didn't know the menu or how things worked, it was hard to order. The person taking my order was very unhelpful, and spoke so quietly I barely heard him - didn't help that it was already so loud inside. My friend asked for a specific drink, but he just handed her a cup but didn't say anything about it. We just assumed that meant we served ourselves a drink, so we went to go find where that was. It was far in the back next to two trash cans. We then found a place to sit, since we figured the buzzers would just tell us when we would need to go pick up our food. The tables had a place to put the buzzers so they could just bring our food to us - which is quite cool i'll admit. The food was really great, but the service was not. I like Panera. I've never had an issue with the quality of food at any of the locations. A visit for lunch a the Riverside Plaza location in California, today, changed my opinion of their quality. I'm speaking of the so called grilled cheese sandwich I ordered on their 2For option. The soup was great but the 1/2 grilled cheese made me feel like I ordered a grilled cheese for a 2 year old. Really, Panera?!? One thin slice of a piece of processed fake cheese on a slice of dry white bread for $4.50??? I am so disappointed. I even asked the cashier if their grilled cheese was good. She said yes, very. I should have asked for my money back but it was super crowded and we were on our lunch break. Step up the game on your grilled cheese, Panera, or just don't offer it on your menu. Shake my head. read more

found a freaking bug in my food -_____- worst experience of my life.. i wanted to throw up everything after finding that bug ! it wasnt even dead either... it was half alive because my sammich was on top of him. guess it was chilling on the plate as they put my sammich on the plate. they offered to refund me or make me a new one which is why there are 2 stars ! but after seeing a bug in your food, your whole mood just kinda changes. great customer service though! read more

I HATE THIS PANERA! I refuse to eat here. There has been hair in my food and gunk on my spoons multiple times. So I go into Panera CRAVING one of their artichoke souffles. While in line I'm eye balling the last one in the case, so I'm super stoked when I get to the register and order it because it's still there!!!! I place the order making sure that I mention to the cashier that it is the LAST ONE. Instead of pulling it right away, she continues to ring up my drink. I then hear the cashier next to her tell her customer "let me check if we have any left". The other cashier then goes and pulls MY ARTICHOKE SOUFFLE!! I comment on how I had just ordered that and instead of telling the other customer it was already spoken for the rude cashier says "well that's why I always pull it first" then proceeds to sell it to the new customer. Seriously this a screw up on not one but TWO cashiers!!! I was dumb founded, utterly dumbfounded! My cashier said nothing to the cashier so I regrettably had to change my order to a bagel. When I got to my table my mom had also complained that a third cashier had screwed up her order. Just flat out bad location!!! I used to love this location when they first opened. heard there was a New manager - so maybe that's why the food isn't as good or fresh; trying to save money? Good quality food but they are skimping & making smaller portions, watering down the soup, keeping staff that are rude to the customers. Never going back; loved many of the bakery items, sandwiches, salads, soups and put up with the parking nightmare but not any more. To have had a cup of noodle soup that had only 2 noodles in it & no sign of other veggies & be told my staff that they were running out so they added some water? Then got bean soup that had only 1/5 beans, the rest was brown water on top - but had it as to-go order so didn't get enough food. Had pick 2 & 1/2 sandwich on sourdough bread was so small - they have made the portions less. Asked for no onions on veggie - all I got was 1 piece of lettuce & 1/2 slice of a tomato! The food is always good (big box company with set prep techniques), but the seating areas are filthy!!!! Always dirty, never cleaned. Moreover, the place is packed full of loafers who buy one dumb ass cup of coffee and sit for hours scamming free internet like a goddamn library. I was driving to work yesterday and decided to call Panera to order scones for breakfast and pay for it over the phone because I have a credit card on file. Somehow before I could say that my information is on file they hung up on me. I don't know the older ladies name that works the front counter but once I got to Panera's I had to wait in line so I asked who took my order, and know one seen to know but the older lady is always there when I go and she ready for retirement anytime soon and mr Chris said I have your order; so my question to him was I placed the order via the phone and I didn't want to stand in line like I just did; Mr Chris says I have your order in a women voice and I said why was my order not taken over the phone...his response was do you still want your order; (smart a**) where is your manager! When I explained to the manager what happened she was so apologetic for her employee to act that way because when you order by phone you shouldn't have to wait in line and she would talk to Mr Chris and if she have not spoken to him I'll be going to your Corp office about his nasty Attitude. read more

I love Panera but today I was very desapointed with this site. At 5:18 pm I placed a phone order for bagels, three everything and three cinnamon crunch and paid for it. I arrived at the store at almost 7 pm to pick-up and I was told by the staff that they don't have everything bagels. I asked to speak with the store manager and shift supervisor Melissa Sirignano told me the store hasn't had everything bagels for a while. I explained to her that the girl who took my order confirmed they had a few left of the everything bagels and that is the only reason I placed my order. On the receipt it showed they prepared my order at 6:23 which means at the time I called they did have the bagels but at the time they prepared my order they had ran out. However instead of Ms. Sirignano telling me the true she lied by telling they been out of the everything bagel sibce tge morning when she earlier she had told me the order hasnt had that type of bagel for a while. She tried to blame that i place the order on-line when I didnt. She stated she would reimburse my credit card but wasnt able to give me proof of it because she could only do the transaction from the computer in the office. read more

First off, I love Panera. Their paninis are pretty amazing, but this location in particular likes to toast bagels when not asked. Also, idk if this is a whole Panera thing, but they make their cinnamon rolls with lemon icing instead of vanilla without telling you or option to change it. read more

I love Panera in general. It's a great place to eat, and has great options. However, this Panera location has to be one of the worst in customer service. I've been here twice this past week, and the service has always been extremely slow. Not to mention that they have like 10 people running across the registers, yet only 1-2 are ringing people up. In my last experience, the girl asked me if I wanted my bagel on a plate, which I proceeded to answer yes. Then she asked the other (completely absent-minded) worker to grab me the bagel. She threw it in a bag, no utensils and handed it to me. Anyway, it wasn't the end of the world, but my point is they are consistent in their bad customer service. Not many of them are very friendly, and they always seem exhausted to be working there. In conclusion...thanks for the great bread? The Panera in Loma Linda is definitely one of the best. This location has terrible customer service. They have no sense of urgency at all. You're better off using their online ordering and running in & grabbing your food once it's ready at the rapid pick up. This was the worst experience I have ever had in a Panera. Went in there to order a turkey sandwich with no avocado . After waiting 20 minutes there was avocado on it. I asked them if they could remake the sandwich which they said they would but were very rude. I got the sandwich after waiting longer and they just took the avocado off the bread and put in a small container .,I went back in and spoke to an asst. manager because the manager was on lunch she was so rude , threw the bag at the cook and said remake it . She told me at the register I need to tell them to red flag it. I said what , so rude and no customer service. I will never go back in that place again ! read more

where have i been! why was last week my first time to this place? either way im glad i finally went. the food is pretty good. the breads are great. but the best part was how they have the place set up. its kinda got a starbucks feel. wifi everywhere and plenty of lil spots where you can kinda be off by yourself and enjoy your soup, salad or sanwich (maybe all three) and get your work done. or just update your yelp page bite by bite. pretty cool read more

Will never go back! Our office ordered lunch online today 6-2-17. We added special instructions in the section provided and stated that we wanted ranch dressing on the side as well as our other dressing on side. When we opened the bag only one salad had dressing, nothing more. Another trip BACK to restaurant, we were told they have no ranch dressing! Unacceptable ! If they don't provide certain requests then at the very least they should mark the bag to alert customers so a decision can be made then & there on the issue. The manager that was there didn't provide any resolution or make any apologies. I made a dressing choice & the manager tried to just hand me the dressings, no bag, nothing. I was made to feel that I was inconveniencing these employees by asking for what should have been provided. read more

This location has gone down hill. Seems like each time we've come in, we find less meat in our sandwiches and salads are smaller. After tonight, we will not be returning. There were customers looking for a place to sit, but the tables that were available were dirty. Observed manager as he walked past us while feeding himself, oblivious to the problem. My husband ordered the same sandwich he previously ordered at another Panera and was disappointed to see how different it was prepared - hardly any meat. Man cannot survive on bread alone! read more

I ordered a variety of bagels for my daughter's bridal shower brunch and was extremely disappointed. I placed the online order two days ahead of time, paid in full plus a tip. The day of the shower, at the time of pickup, was told that 14 of the 31 bagels ordered were unavailable and the choices left were definitely nothing I would have ordered in the first place. The explanation was that the weekends are slower than the weekdays so they do not bake as much product. An order on a Friday for pick up on a Sunday should be ready to go as ordered! Especially when the company sends you a confirmation email with your order. No offers to make things better except to cancel my order for a refund. After a discussion, the employee said she could give me 6 pastries. On top of that, they didn't give us the two tubs of regular cream cheese that were supposed to be included in the order!
