It has been ages since I've been to a Panera Bread! I stepped into this Panera while at the Riverside Shopping, Plaza, (which, side note, was a very pleasant surprise in and of itself) The first thing that I noticed was a cute patio seating area outside, and upon walking in, I was greeted with a bakery case, full of very aesthetic baked goods, and a wall full of baguettes and bagels. The staff was super friendly, and answered all the questions I had about the menu (which was admittedly, a little confusing, because there is a lot to take in with their options) I decided on the soup and salad combo, which came out to about $16 and opted to dine in. They hand you a little beeper to let you know when your order is ready, and once it is, your order can be picked up at their counter. The food was good, salad and soup were both very tasty. However, I will admit that for the price point a tad bit on the pricey side. During my meal, an employee came over to remove my empty plates and asked how everything was, which I thought was a nice touch on customer service. Visited this location a few days ago and was very disappointed. The staff is not very efficient as they are standing around chatting instead of assisting the customers. We waited over 40 minutes for our order and the food tasted very bland. My husband's vanilla latte was only half full. I belong to the sip club. I really like their new drink but I don't like to me it just gets in the way because I drink it so fast. I went in on Friday July 18th 2025 I ordered a sandwich a whole loaf of bread and my favorite drink carrying my thermos. I fill my thermos with ice. I finished my finished my sandwich and one drink then ordered a refill I'm a big guy I finished it quick. So I ordered another refill the manager told it would take a few minutes okay. A lady next to me was using her kiosk and that's when I figured that this place doesn't do things that require human interaction! All business is self serve using a kiosk and credit/debit card. Ordered 10 items total. 3 bowls of soup 2 cups of soup 1 bowl of Mac and cheese 3 "toasted" whole sandwiches And a smoothie. First, none of my special instructions were listened too. We were all picking things off that we specifically requested to not be in the sandwiches. Second, NONE of our bread was toasted. And I mean that. It was literally soft bread with melted insides which were clearly from the damn microwave. Third, the meat in EACH SANDWICH was disgusting. Hard, AND CHEWY. if I wanted jerky in my sandwiches I would've specified that. Fourth, none of us got French baguettes. Only 4 gross slices of sourdough bread. And lastly, not that this one is a huge deal, but I didn't even get a single thing of utensils when I specifically asked for them. I love Panera, however this location does not seem to be able to complete orders correctly. Twice I have ordered my bagel sliced and not toasted and twice I have received the bagel toasted. The first time I had to call and let them know as I had already arrived at work. Love this place but...Clean the floors and tables please! I been going here for years, and love this place staff is nice and thoughtful, food is great but one issue happens almost every time I go here... The issues: As I am walking to my seat and trying to fit myself into a chair I'll hear the crunch of some kind of food particle on the floor crunching underneath my shoe only to be followed by a search for a napkin to clear off the table. Now this doesn't happen to be the I find myself every time go but one of these issues also seem to be something to deal with.
