    Pecan braid
    Alexandra A.

The service and online ordering system is a 5 star, 2 stars is based on what I ordered and naturally a 3 for the total average haha. I ordered through the app and it was user friendly. They have a rewards program, I highly recommend it as they have freebies every so often and it's also more convenient to order if grabbing something to go. I got the pecan braid and it was eh. It wasn't terrible, however it wasn't the best. I'm not really a fan of their pastries but I wanted to give this a try. I probably wouldn't order it again though.

Broccoli, soup and mac & cheese

Dirty not smelling good location. Very outdated. Customer service is zero. Starting with manger and down to workers. I ordered large broccoli soup and it came like in picture not full. On top of all that for only large broccoli soup and two mac & cheese I paid $50. I would rather go have a meal in the restaurant than paying this much. Will not come back again. Stay away from expansive places like this and see how they will improve and bring prices down to real where they suppose to be. What a rip off.

A delicious bread bowl with an warm broccoli Cheddar soup with side of Panera kettle chips and a passion Papaya green tea. The a Thai salad with edamame, chicken, carrots crouton strips a spicy Thai dressing and a side of tomato soup, Panera kettle Chips and a plum ginger hibiscus tea

I'm not sure what's worse- the quality of the food I ordered or the manager Luis being completely nonchalant about the situation. I texted him the photos and he offered a voucher! No accountability or even an apology. I ordered 3 bacon, scrambled egg, and cheese sandwiches. I got a semi-cooked egg and bacon bits on bread. This is completely unacceptable and with standards this low, I won't be returning to this location no matter how convenient.

Last day to eat at this location!

A not so pleasant experience dining in here today. We all know panera is panera: good pastries, good coffee, good soups , good salads. So I am not here to talk about the food per say. However, what I want to talk about this specific location is the service I experienced today. I am a Panera Rewards holder, I've been to this location many times, but before I continue with my "rant" I want to express that this location is not one of the best Panera's I've been to. I say not the best is based on customer service. The only reason I do come here is because of the location, it's the closest to me. Walked in today with my toddler, I came up to a a register with my order. The familiar cashier who was helping me was training a team member.. I proceeded with my order and paid for my order using cash, and the cashier hands me my change . At that point , since she didn't hand me a pager I asked her if she would just bring my order to my table? (I did ask this is bec, other location do bring your food to your table) She said "yes" . It was a beautiful day today so me and my son decided to sit outside in the patio . As we settled in I realized, the cashier didn't hand me my receipt so we went back in to ask for my receipt and at the same time I told the same cashier that we were outside sitting. She then acknowledged, meanwhile the trainee was making my son's mango smoothie that we ordered . We went back outside, a few minutes later- the trainee came out with the smoothie. A couple minutes passed by later -still no food. I looked at my receipt it had been over 10minutes so we decided to go back in to check on our order. As I'm opening the door, a couple of customers were coming out to the patio with their food and mentioned to me " Oh is that you that they have been calling?" I picked up my food off the counter, brought it outside tried to be more calm and thought to myself - no big deal. As I started to feed my son with the broccoli cheddar soup, realized soup wasn't as warm . Instead of asking for another cup of soup for a replacement, I thought to myself fine it's at least not really hot anymore so my toddler can eat it right away but I said to myself I will at least mention it to the manager before we head out. My son didn't even up eating the soup, so as we came up to ask for a container to go , I did ask to speak to the manager. I explained the entire ordeal to the manager, his first comment was " Oh it must be the new person who helped you" I clearly told him no it's not , and the cashier who helped me was the trainer and NOT the trainee , at the same time I showed him my receipt. The manager apologized and offered replaced the soup but I told him no thanks that I just want to make sure that I would bring it up to his attention. What differentiate between these chain restaurants is the Customer Service level. Would I come back to this Panera location? I will guarantee you that If all possible I will avoid it. Rant. over.

Supposed to be a bacon tomato 1/2 grilled cheese
    Jeff H.

went to Panera last night(schaumburg rd/barrington rd) and bought a pick2. 1/2 bacon tomato grilled cheese and upgraded to the sourdough broccoli cheese bowl. Total price 10.00+. Soup fantastic as always. However I do not recommend getting the bacon tomato grilled cheese. At least not the 1/2 portion or should I say small middle portion. Would've gone back to bitch but didnt feel like it. I will forward the pics to panera bread however later. How they can pass this off as a sandwich is beyond me.

Their menu is loaded with all the popular items (kabobs, shawarmas, etc), so chose their chicken shawarma bowl. The lady helping ring me up explained how it was made and that sounded great, which was the garlic sauce (sort of like toom) was on the bottom with the rice on top, salad next and then the protein on top. So, this is what I ordered. It was made fresh and came out piping hot. The rice in the dish was bland and the chicken was slightly more flavorful, which means it was basically bland as well. The garlic sauce and the salad were the best two flavors on this dish and I tried to grab some of that in each bite. I wasn't too impressed with the flavors of the chicken shawarma at all, but then again I prefer flavorful and authentic food and can't stand when ethnic restaurants cater to "Americans" by making their food less spicy/authentic. The place was rather busy when I went and the dining room was kept clean. Service was friendly. I'd recommend this place to those who don't have high expectations for spice, rather are looking for a nice experience.

It was empty when it arrived, but filled up on our way out, telling me it's a popular place for the younger crowd. Either way, you know you're in for a good meal when you see the huge doner rotisserie spinning. The owner (at least I'm pretty sure he was the owner) helpfully walked us through their sauce selection and even offered my MIL some sauce samples. She ended up getting the hot dog with veggies, while my wife and I got sandwich combos (17 for the sandwich + 3.50 for fries and a drink). I was going to share my combo with my preschooler since they don't have a kids meal, but the owner thoughtfully offered some fries with chicken for him. We definitely had to tip well for such nice service. So this is no ordinary sandwich, and the pictures don't do it justice. In pics it looks kind of like a pita pocket, but this thing has some HEFT. Filled with veggies, meat, and sauce, it got a little messy but was really tasty. The veggies were fresh, and it's hard to top meat sliced right off the log. My MIL said her unique hot dog was good as well. To me it looked like a Chicago dog from another dimension, but I also want to give it a try next time. Protip: Ask for your sauces on the side. They're almost too generous with it on the sandwich so it's nice to have a little more control with it. This will definitely enter the rotation and will be letting our friends know as well. Great stuff!

It was thumbs up for all of us on the burgers as well as the beer, which was unique and delicious. I took no pictures that day and just enjoyed the outing with friends, but I was especially impressed with the taste of my burger. I abstained from adding any of my usual condiments, and decided to try it as is, with just their sauce. Best decision ever! The sauce was amazing and the burger was cooked a perfect medium. Like many restaurants, Luck Monk offers their regular menu, plus flyers on their specials, including beers and cocktails. Four days later, I went right back there again on my own, to formally review it with photos. I had to go with that same peppercorn burger, because it was just so good, and to make sure the first time was a fluke. It wasn't. I tried out their chili as well, which was also good. This chef knows what he is doing. This stand alone restaurant is easy to get to, and has ample parking. The interior of the restaurant is beautiful and looks high end, though I found the pricing to be reasonable. It would be a great spot to take clients for a business lunch.
