The dirtiest Panera I have ever seen. What a waste of money. A shame!! Everywhere it was dirty the drinks the tables the silverware.

I've been to this location several times, and have noticed that they are always out of Diet Pepsi. There are times when the cups are not ready on the shelf after ordering through the app and receiving a confirmation that the order is ready, forcing me to wait in line for a cup that should have been ready 5-10 minutes earlier. I love Panera, I have given 4-5 star review for other locations, but this location is the black sheep compared to others. read more

He was so rude that when placing my order he did not ask for my phone number and I said "I have a phone #" he responded "I am not ready for it, I will take it at the window" he refused to grant my discount for no reason whatsoever; decided to go inside and speak to the manager who saw me sitting down, after more than 5 minutes she asked if I needed anything with a sour face which made me leave and place this review here. The service and online ordering system is a 5 star, 2 stars is based on what I ordered and naturally a 3 for the total average haha. I ordered through the app and it was user friendly. They have a rewards program, I highly recommend it as they have freebies every so often and it's also more convenient to order if grabbing something to go. I got the pecan braid and it was eh. It wasn't terrible, however it wasn't the best. I'm not really a fan of their pastries but I wanted to give this a try. I probably wouldn't order it again though. read more

I'm sorry but every time I go to Panera, it is a bad experience. I recently cut down big time on carbs anyway so going to a bakery is not really frequent thing anymore, but I can have some wraps or flatbread choices on occasion. I stopped at the one on Schaumburg road today. No one was at the counter for a long time. There was a young lady stocking the bread items. She did not even acknowledge me or see that someone was there. I asked if she could help me, and she said no, the order person will be back in a minute. Luckily I was not in a hurry. Then he came and I was trying to order. The menu has really changed. They list the breakfast sandwiches but not with the type of bread. I asked what these come on, he said "a bagel" I asked if they have a wrap or breakfast burrito? No. They used to have more low carb breakfast options. I got a soufflé. Then the coffee station was dirty and missing things. He brought the soufflé out to me. I ate it in my car because the whole place seemed kind of dreary and not clean. The soufflé was pretty bready. Just came by after working all day. It was 3:30 in the afternoon on a Sunday, so not a crazy time like a lunch rush or anything. There was a family ordering and another in line in front of me and 2 people behind me. They had one cashier taking orders and after she took the first order she just walked away from the register. Nobody said anything to us. No "be right with you" or any attempt to get another person. The manager was nowhere to be found as well. After about 10 minutes between the first family finishing their order and the nothing that came after I walked out. How did nobody notice there was a line and try to get a manager or another cashier if the first girl needed to do other things?? I used to work for Panera and this was honestly embarrassing. I know what the standards are and this wasn't it at all. When I drove past after leaving I looked in and someone had JUST walked up to take the family's order that was in front of me. A not so pleasant experience dining in here today. We all know panera is panera: good pastries, good coffee, good soups , good salads. So I am not here to talk about the food per say. However, what I want to talk about this specific location is the service I experienced today. I am a Panera Rewards holder, I've been to this location many times, but before I continue with my "rant" I want to express that this location is not one of the best Panera's I've been to. I say not the best is based on customer service. The only reason I do come here is because of the location, it's the closest to me. Walked in today with my toddler, I came up to a a register with my order. The familiar cashier who was helping me was training a team member.. I proceeded with my order and paid for my order using cash, and the cashier hands me my change . At that point , since she didn't hand me a pager I asked her if she would just bring my order to my table? (I did ask this is bec, other location do bring your food to your table) She said "yes" . It was a beautiful day today so me and my son decided to sit outside in the patio . As we settled in I realized, the cashier didn't hand me my receipt so we went back in to ask for my receipt and at the same time I told the same cashier that we were outside sitting. She then acknowledged, meanwhile the trainee was making my son's mango smoothie that we ordered . We went back outside, a few minutes later- the trainee came out with the smoothie. A couple minutes passed by later -still no food. I looked at my receipt it had been over 10minutes so we decided to go back in to check on our order. As I'm opening the door, a couple of customers were coming out to the patio with their food and mentioned to me " Oh is that you that they have been calling?" I picked up my food off the counter, brought it outside tried to be more calm and thought to myself - no big deal. As I started to feed my son with the broccoli cheddar soup, realized soup wasn't as warm . Instead of asking for another cup of soup for a replacement, I thought to myself fine it's at least not really hot anymore so my toddler can eat it right away but I said to myself I will at least mention it to the manager before we head out. My son didn't even up eating the soup, so as we came up to ask for a container to go , I did ask to speak to the manager. I explained the entire ordeal to the manager, his first comment was " Oh it must be the new person who helped you" I clearly told him no it's not , and the cashier who helped me was the trainer and NOT the trainee , at the same time I showed him my receipt. The manager apologized and offered replaced the soup but I told him no thanks that I just want to make sure that I would bring it up to his attention. What differentiate between these chain restaurants is the Customer Service level. Would I come back to this Panera location? I will guarantee you that If all possible I will avoid it. went to Panera last night(schaumburg rd/barrington rd) and bought a pick2. 1/2 bacon tomato grilled cheese and upgraded to the sourdough broccoli cheese bowl. Total price 10.00+. Soup fantastic as always. However I do not recommend getting the bacon tomato grilled cheese. At least not the 1/2 portion or should I say small middle portion. Would've gone back to bitch but didnt feel like it. I will forward the pics to panera bread however later. How they can pass this off as a sandwich is beyond me. read more

This panera location is my go-to lunch place when I don't want to cook something at home. The staff is friendly and seem to enjoy their jobs. The wait is very short, food always comes out really fast and the quality never diminishes. Pricier than other fast foods, it's all worth it in my opinion. read more

Disappointing online order experience. Ordered for curbside pick up and by the time we got there it was raining, so I understand the delay, but they brought me an incomplete order. Was missing 2 brownies and a drink. I tried calling them to ask if they were coming back because the person who brought the order just shoved it in the car as it was raining and it was understandable, but no one picked up the phone. It wasn't even rush lunch hour, it was Sunday at almost 4pm. We had to go to the store to get our missing items. Then when we got home we realized they didn't include dressing for the salad. The food was good, but a couple things: 1) Like the last person said...do not leave before checking your to-go order. 2) The staff at this location could use a refresher on their customer service. The service is still stellar nine times out of ten! (Check your bag before you leave, however, just in case. This isn't a dig against Panera, but ANY to-go food orders!!) However, we were there last night because my daughter is obsessed with their macaroni and cheese--for good reason. It's yummy!! However, this review is for my meal yesterday, I got the You Pick 2 with the Chicken Noodle Soup and the Grownup grilled cheese (three different kind of cheeses and bacon). I also tried their Penne Bolognese pasta because it seemed like it would be a good idea... Penne Bolognese: Bad. I took two bites of my $9 (super small!!!!!) pasta and that.was.it. It was really, really not good. And I am not that picky about pasta and sauces. It had a horrible aftertaste. I was not impressed at all. The chicken noodle soup was ok (they've changed their recipe to make it "all natural" and it's not as good as it used to be. but the grilled cheese was the biggest disappointment. It's "grilled", but one side of the sandwich wasn't cooked AT ALL (see picture) and none of the cheeses were melted. I literally pulled it apart slice by slice. I shouldn't be able to do that--the cheeses should be melded together in a grilled cheese, no? I hope things improve for next time :( And definitely skip the penne! read more

Today was a very bad experience at Panera. I placed an order and got a "Ready for pickup" text. When I went to pick up my order (about 30 minutes later), it wasn't there. Upon checking, it took them a minute to figure out and then tell me "oh we actually ran out" (Well, you had 15 minutes to call me so I wouldn't have to make the drive there). I said Ok stuff happens and they tried to refund me - they gave me $3.43. For whatever reason, I remembered it was $3.74. I had to show them my email for the amount and they ended up "cancelling" the order then so the refund could be automatic and correct (well, it should have been done automatically already). Anyways, no apologies, no "hey here's a cookie on the house" or something. Just a frustrating Christmas Eve experience at Panera :( You basically made a customer drive 3 miles to come to your store for an order that you told them was ready. The least you could do was to apologize and ensure that the customer doesn't feel bad (on any day but especially on Christmas Eve). read more

I come to this location often because it's close but if there were another location closer I would definitely go there instead. I feel like since it's the only one around they think they can get away with subpar customer service. I came in today and the girl taking my order kept interrupting me and talking over me while I was ordering. I then proceeded to wait 15 minutes (I checked my receipt for accuracy) for my to-go order consisting of a salad, Mac and cheese, and one sandwich. I felt bad considering they looked really understaffed but after later consideration I've realized they are ALWAYS understaffed and it always takes a prolonged amount of time to get any food here even during non-peak hours. Then, I went home and checked my bag and there were no sides. No chips or bread. Even though my receipt clearly includes these sides and I saw other orders getting them so I know they didn't run out. Lastly, I got an agave lemonade which I'm obsessed with and this time it tasted very different. It tasted like they used a powder from the store. It's super disappointing that I have to deal with all of these inconveniences just to get a dang salad (preferably WITH the bread side). read more

I have always been a strong fan of Panera over the years so I am not happy to give such a poor review of one of there locations. I received absolutely horrible service. The person at the counter must have missed part of my order as I didn't get everything I asked for. When I went to the pick up counter I explained that I also ordered an additional item. The person at the counter kindly stated "I am not a mind reader". I was so shocked that I didn't even know what to do. Let's face it..Panera is Panera. The food is pretty consistent from one location to another. It's the service that can set one location apart from another. We happened to be visiting someone near this location so we placed our order online. It was a large order ($50) and when we arrived back home, we noticed that my side fruit cup ( that I was charged extra for ) was missing. I called and asked to speak to a manager and was put on hold. After waiting on hold, I was told that he (Mark) was busy. I gave the young lady my phone number. Here it is 5 hours later and no call. I realize that the extra charge is minimal but that's not the point. I am an unhappy customer and the manager cannot find just a few minutes to contact me. In our immediate area, we don't seem to have a lot of independent coffee, good breakfasty places. That being said, I am a BIG fan of all things Panera! This location causes no exceptions. They can boast a large parking lot and plenty of indoor seating. Most recently, we enjoyed eating our breakfast on their outdoor patio. (Here's looking at you, Kathleen M.!) There were only about three tables outside, but we snagged one and enjoyed the light breeze. There was nowhere to discard our plates and garbage outside, but it's a really small area, so I'm just grateful for the option to sit there. The juggling while we opened the door back up to throw away the garbage, made the experience a bit more adventurous. One of my favorites for the few days that it is comfortable to sit outside. The new Acai tea is good. But yesterday was a surprise. The Cheese Broccoli for a group tasted like cheese - cheddar cheese. The price on this keeps going up ($12.50 or something similar) but this was thick, had real chunks of broccoli and real taste of cheddar. The My Panera gave me a free desert. I really prefer Panera for Iced Tea and free WiFi across the country, but this is still one of the better places locally to meet for a business introduction meeting. Especially off rush hour. The place is slower (it seems) since the Bally's closed down. This Panera does not have its own meeting room, but does have a nice fireplace area (and still window view). read more

I have been disappointed for the last time at this Panera. Their staff are best described as automated robots- not particularly friendly or knowledgeable but they can get the job done. First visit: out of broccoli cheddar soup for the day at 5pm (open until 9), no cookies or brownies available. Second visit: all the tables were dirty but my meal was spot on! I do love their steak and arugula sandwich. Brownie was hard so skip the dessert for dinner unless you want a brownie that's been sitting out all day. Third visit: I ordered a cafe mocha. The cashier made it iced-I asked if it could be made hot and she said it only came iced. So I paid over $4 for a drink I didn't order and definitely didn't want. I ordered the smokehouse turkey panini, which is supposed to be Smoked turkey breast, smoked bacon, smoked cheddar & sun-dried tomato ale mustard grilled hot on Artisan Three Cheese bread. When getting back to the office, I go to eat my sandwich and it was a plain turkey sandwich with lettuce (no condiments, no cheese, and not a warm 'panini' sandwich) on a piece of white bread. So dissapointed. My tip to anyone ordering here, check your bags before you leave!! Update: I called the store to let them know about the mistake because this has happened more than once to me. The food quality is consistent with other Panera locations, but the service (if you order mostly to go, as I do) is quite bad. Without exaggerating, almost every other order I place ends up being wrong. I've been there when it was busy and almost empty and it makes no difference. If you ask for something "extra," you are almost guaranteed to get none of it at all. Jessica, one of the supervisors, took the order from me today, confirmed everything, the receipt confirmed the items ordered and then she placed the wrong items in the to-go bag yet again. My advice is to either not go there at all, or check your bag every single time before you leave. read more

While the manager was on the next register helping and employee and I know she saw me cause she looked me up and down and walked away knowing I was waiting. Didn't even ask if I needed help.
