Horrible service. We spent almost 2 hours here for 4 people. The food took forever to come out. The waitress took forever to greet our table and to give us our checks. The place is small and crowded. There is no where to wait besides two chairs in the front. They overcharged me for bacon. The menu says $2.50 and they charged me $3.00 The food however was pretty good read more

My family and I are so happy that we have a restaurant like this so close to home. We have been coming here for about two years now and I will tell you why. I feel that many breakfast establishments do well with food and then so so with coffee. The R.EC. however has some good coffee as well as many other fantastic beverages to select from. Now to the good stuff or should I say the AMAZING stuff! I always see the same two guys back in the kitchen and they do such a nice job of consistently making great tasting high quality dishes. Even when a new dish or special is introduced the quality, taste and freshness is out of this world. The staff/ownership really knows what they are doing providing fast friendly service with a small town home made meal feeling. Plenty of booths and a side spot of tables where they can accommodate large groups, even an old school dinner counter to belly up close to the chiefs and catch a glimpse of all the dishes your going to have to come back and try. Ok- ambiance is key- this place is small - cozy is more like it - but very smartly designed - loved it. Never knew it was here; turned out is was only 3km from home - so we decided to - what the heck - try it! Seated promptly, we were asked if we wanted something to drink- we both wanted OJ (no size options were given) - we got two decent sized mason jars filled with fresh-squeezed juice. Nice. Didn't realize until later there were two sizes and we were served large - must be a default? Okie-dokie then! I ordered a Denver omelette sans onions with hashies and a side of rye toast. Now check this out- every item was hot- and the green peppers in the Denver were smokin' fresh! Wow! Hubby ordered a California Panini, and was very pleased as well. Our group of six met there last weekend and they graciously allowed us to sit and chat and catch up right up until their closing time of 3 pm. It was very much appreciated. Most of the group got breakfast dishes and they seemed to enjoy them. After seeing the side of pancakes, I wish I had ordered them b/c they looked so fluffy! My husband got the Chilaquiles Verde and he really enjoyed it. I got the blackened chicken wrap w/ seasoned fries. It came with soup to start and since it was Sunday - I got the chicken and wild rice. The soup was delicious. I liked my meal - but it was lukewarm. My husband and I dined in on a weekend morning and I really liked it! I noticed within 15 mins of being seated there was a line out the door to be seated. I highly recommend getting here by 9-10am at the latest to avoid a long wait time. Rising Early Cafe has about 75ish indoor seats. The decor is somewhat of a a rustic farm house feel and is very quaint and cute. Service throughout was fast and consistent. Within minutes a staff member approached our table with waters and asked for our drink order. We both got coffees which were hot and strong-ish. For food I ordered the south of the border omelet which came with 2 sides. I opted for fruit and pancakes. The omelet was DELICIOUS - it had the perfect amount of heat and the chorizo was flavorful and not too greasy. It also came with sour cream and pico which brought the whole dish together perfectly. Very nice discovery! The menu items are plentiful and varied! Servings are huge and entrees are well presented, even just for breakfast items! Service is friendly and efficient. And although we combined our dine time with a casual business meeting, the wait staff never made us feel like they wanted us to leave before we were ready. My only reason for giving 4 instead of 5 stars is restroom maintenance. There should always be someone assigned to check the restrooms when it's a busy day. What a cute little brunch spot! It's a little difficult to find/hidden in a strip mall just off Schaumburg Road, but once you're inside it's so bright and welcoming. And the food was incredible. The chorizo quesadilla was savory and delicious. The skillets have diced potatoes which I personally prefer to hash browns, and the pancakes were fluffy and tasty. Finally, they have espresso drinks in addition to regular coffee. We will definitely be back with some family or friends soon! read more

Pretty good as a change of pace from the giant brunch restaurants that are pretty common in the Northwest Suburbs. Just big enough to seat a good number of people, but just small enough to get more personalized service, this restaurant serves up all the standard breakfast and lunch favorites at a reasonable price and at a reasonable speed. The decor isn't excessive, but the breakfast theme is clear throughout the restaurant and the service is friendly though it could be a little quicker (seems like they handle a fairly high volume of takeout orders as well). The presentation of the food was fairly neat with good colors and arrangement. Portion sizes aren't the largest I've seen but the prices are also a little lower to match as well. I found the flavors to be in line with what I'd get at other places like Brunch Cafe, good execution on familiar flavors. Textures were a bit better than expected with a great firmness on the fruit, good cheesy texture on the skillet, and a slightly crispy texture on the fluffy pancakes. I also like how minor elements such as onions and green peppers were sauteed nicely to add a good savory flavor. Overall, worth a visit if you're looking for a good option for brunch in the area in a spot with plenty of parking and not as busy as the super giant brunch spots around Schaumburg. read more

Wow the restaurant has been updated (we went to the restaurant that was here before) and it is decorated very nicely. The temperature of the restaurant is perfect not too cold and definitely not hot (in the summer) Our waitress Jasmine was really sweet and very attentive. It is July 4th and all the waitresses were dressed so cute for the holiday in red white and blue with lots of sparkle. I ordered the two egg breakfast with diced potatoes and pancakes and a hot tea. They have several tea bags that you get to choose from. I selected the Egyptian Chamomile and it was very tasty. My husband ordered the Corned Beef Hash with two eggs and water to drink. The pancakes were excellent but the rest of the food we ordered lacked seasoning. I added salt so it was not big deal. This is a great place to dine if your worried about your blood pressure. We will definitely be back, it was a relaxing and wonderful experience. They have lots of fruit based pancakes on the menu, the table next to us ordered and they looked so delicious! I may try the chicken and waffles next time! Someone else sitting at another table near us ordered two different sandwiches and they looked so delicious too. This place is new but here to stay! Inside is very bright, clean, and modern and the staff is very friendly and works very well together as a team. For a busy Sunday morning, we were seating right away. After a few rounds of coffee, we ordered. I tried the veggie omelette (sub egg whites) with fruit and pancakes. I think it was also suppose to come with potatoes which I totally forgot about until the end. Ops! The fruit cup was small but very fresh. The pancakes were just the right side. I don't usually write reviews, but this establishment was so good that I had to download the app to do it! We are visiting the Chicago area from out of state for a hockey tournament. After getting up for an early game, we were looking for a mid-morning breakfast. We initially went somewhere else, but came here because the other place was so busy. Best choice we made the entire trip! We sat at the counter, because there was a 15 minute wait for a table, but I had a hungry 17 yr old boy! The staff was incredibly friendly, interactive and attentive. We were greeted immediately, in spite of them being busy, and our orders were placed within 5 minutes -- mainly because we were reading the extensive menu. The food was absolutely delicious. The "side order" of pancakes was a plate with two GIANT incredibly fluffy, inch-thick pancakes. The portion sizes were huge. Also, according to my son, the soundtrack "is dope." I have to agree. The music was quiet, so not distracting, but catchy. Overall, this was my favorite dining experience of the entire weekend. Better than pizza, better than the catered team dinner... just a really, really good restaurant. read more

Stopped by Rising Early Cafe for mid-morning Sunday Brunch! This spot has recently opened in the Schaumburg area in a strip mall off Schaumburg Rd. The inside has a decent amount of seating broken up into two sections. It has a contemporary, magnolia feel but is welcoming to all age ranges! What drew us here was the value driven prices! My partner and I each got an order of the biscuits and gravy which were delicious! It came with three biscuits and a healthy serving of gravy. The biscuits were fluffy yet crispy and gravy was peppered well. Our only complaint was that the water provided did not taste good at all. I'd recommend they get a water filtration system for guests. Either way, I would certainly go again to try other menu items or revisit the B&G! Be sure to stop by and give this place a try yourself! read more

When you it's lunch time and you want breakfast the Rising Early Cafe is a great spot to go to. I ordered the Athens omelet (bacon, spinach, tomato & feta cheese) and my husband ordered the corned beef hash skillet (corned beef, green pepper & onion, topped with mozzarella & cheddar cheese). We both got pancakes as our side order. I thought that the omelet was really good except that the feta cheese was in one large clump in the middle. I had to spread it around. All of the ingrediants tasted fresh and the bacon was crispy. The pancakes had a malty taste that I love. I am excited to come back and try some more of their offerings. Our first time visiting and had to say Rising Early was fantastic! We went on a Friday morning and were lucky to get seated since there was a big crowd. Food was delicious. I ordered the Cinnamon Crunch French Toast and my boyfriend ordered the Country Skillet. The only downside was the price on the menu differed from what we were charged! I remembered it was $13 instead of $15 for the french toast so I mentioned it to the waitress and she was quick to apologize and remedy the issue for us. We will definitely be back! read more

The service is very attentive and the staff have a thorough knowledge of everything they serve (although they seem to get thrown off a bit if there's a larger party in the restaurant). We've been here three times, and we both agree that they seem to have a coordination problem with getting the food onto the table. Twice, there was no coffee ready to serve as is customary upon being seated. It's a breakfast/lunch restaurant, so it ought to be ready at all times. The food always arrives hot and well cooked, but on every visit so far, different plates come in spurts, several minutes apart, as opposed to all at once. This is a nice little breakfast place tucked away in a strip mall that could use a more attention to timing. I don't want to discourage people to go here, even if they aren't 65 years old as snarkily suggested by someone, but I hope the owners and managers address this issue. read more

We've been trying to save money to go on more trips, but we might need to cut into the budget to come here on the weekends with our kids and wife's parents. Had a great time. Orange juice was FRESH, and not crazy expensive. Decor and atmosphere was also really nice. Clean, simple, and pleasant. Only slight ding was the bathrooms were a little messy.
