This place leaves a lot to be desired. Went at 6:00 on a Wednesday night and I was one of just a handful of people there. Despite this, it still took 15+ minutes to get my food. On top of that, they guy preparing food did not wear a hat or hairnet, wi-if was down, they were out of some soups and some breads, and one of their lemonade flavors was out of order. This place also felt very dirty with dirty dishes everywhere, trash on the floor and even a pretty sizable bug crawling around on the ceiling. To top it off, the Bacon Turkey Bravo I ordered somehow had came with chicken on it instead of turkey. Would not have gone had I not had a gift card and will not be back. read more

Made an online order for curbside pickup at 8:43P; app said it'd be ready in 10 minutes. At 8:57P, I'm sitting in my car and watching an employee lock the door (restaurant closes at 9P, but apparently they decided folks were done needing to come in and order) and I still don't have my food. At 9:01P I get a text saying my order is ready; I'm thinking "great, maybe it was crowded and they got backed up". At 9:10P I STILL DONT HAVE MY FOOD. Finally I get out my car and knock on the window; employee comes asks me what's up, I tell him I made an online order 25 minute ago and got notice that it was ready but never got my food. He goes in, comes back 3 minutes later and says "sorry, we don't have any record of your order." At this point I'm looking at him like "really"? I show him my order confirmation email and text and the one confirming it was ready. His response? "I don't know what to tell you." Ok, THATS BS. So now Im telling him I need to speak to a manager and refund of my money. I stand outside ANOTHER 5 minutes; finally he brings me the food and drinks I ordered (wasn't the drinks I ordered but at this point I was just ready to leave). I see I'm not the only one whose found this location to be a horrible experience. I wished I'd had read the reviews before; my time and money would have been spent elsewhere. read more

I really like Panera & love the seasonal salads they have. I was heading to the Braves game on a Friday night and wanted to stop by Panera. A friend and I walked in and ordered our meal. I got the chicken poppyseed salad. I asked for no pecans, the dressing on the side and avocado. When i went to pick up my meal I did not see any avocado so I asked the lady behind the counter if there was avocado and she responded very rudely "umm yes you asked for it." & when i tried to hand her my pager she, again rudely, said put it in the basket. Not to mention they didn't even give me the dressing on the side. The remainder of the staff was nice but this one lady left a sour taste in my mouth for this particular location. I wouldn't go out of my way again to go to this location.. If you don't like your job find a new one, but being rude to customers isn't the way to go. read more

This Panera is poorly managed and has gone down hill over the years. They had at least 10 employees on duty and only 1 person working the line that was out the door. No one was helping to fill the orders either. Tables were not cleaned so I went outside to eat. There was trash all around the trash can and in the landscaping. I don't understand with all those employees why these basic restaurant tasks were not done. I used to lunch clients at this location but I would not bring clientele here until they improve. Head's up. DO NOT order delivery from this location. They promise a delivery time, don't answer the phone and deliver an hour and a half late but blame DoorDash. This has happened 3 times now. I tried to give them the benefit of the doubt, but do yourself a favor. Especially if ordering for a work b'fast event. DON'T DO IT. Order from Einsteins or Corner Bakery. Pretty sad that their corporate customer service rep cannot even get the restaurant to pick up the phone. I get it, work shortage. Don't accept orders if you can't fill them. I come to this Panera Bread regularly because they have great pastries and I like to pick up soup and/or sandwiches for lunch. I have been known to stop by when I want a light dinner too. You can order ahead of time and your order will be ready in a designated area when you are ready to pick it up. This is one of the larger Paneras. There is plenty of seating and tables aren't too close to one another. One thing is that they could stand to put more outlets in for charging. They have the standard soup, salads, and sandwiches, along with an assortment of pastries. They also have a variety of bagels. I particularly enjoy the soups. Broccoli cheese is my favorite followed by the tomato. My interactions with the employees have been good each time I've visited. They are a friendly bunch. I must say that when I've gone in the evenings, I've been hard pressed to find a clean table. Like last night, I had to look high and low for a table that was clean and really I ended up cleaning the one I sat at myself. It was around 9pm, so it wasn't like the dinner rush had just left. Also, an employee decided to come sweeping the rug around where I was eating. In this crazy mind I got, I imagine dust being puffed up and landing on my food. Don't do that! One of my favorite things about Panera is the My Panera rewards program. You can get coupons such as dollars off of this or that. After so many visits, you get things too. For instance, I got a free bagel for each day in the month of February. I love that! Once you join, be sure to swipe your card or give them you phone number each time you visit. Anyway, this Panera is cool and will continue to be a place I visit regularly. read more

I ordered from paneer lunch onion soup bowl and a focaccia bread and cheese. When I got the order it was cold through no fault of the delivery person but the business the soup was good once I heated it up but I ordered the soup bowl which meant the bread bowl which soup goes into I got a small cup of soup with a piece of bread and that the focaccia bread and cheese was disgusting no flavor and hard as rocks. Maybe it's a location because I had the same thing last month from the paneer on East West connector and it was delicious and I got what I wanted so I paid 20 something dollars I got crap I won't be going there anymore read more

This is the dirtiest Panera Bread I've ever been to. That is very surprising with it being in the area of top dollar establishments. The ladies restroom had urine all over the floors and tissue. It was filthy! You could tell that it hasn't been properly cleaned in over two days, it was that bad. The food arrived cold to my table and once asked for them to rewarm it, it came bk as a smaller portion and scalding hot to where I burned my mouth. The dining tables were dirty, the place smelled of dirty mop water. The manager was the one out there cleaning , bless his little heart. Honestly it was not the Sunday lunch I pictured having. I've been there twice now and this is the second time they have forgotten to give me my side, if you're going to charge a premium for what I consider to be fast food at least fulfill the entire order...if I go to McDonald's I make sure to check my food before leaving the drive thru line, because it's McDonald's and you expect that from them. It's frustrating because of the money but moreover it's the principal. Charging more means holding yourself to a higher standard....I must say the food is good. HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE!!! I waited over 25 minutes for a half sandwich and salad. When I asked the cashier what the hold up was she canceled my ordered and issued a refund. I came to get food and left without anything after wasting my lunch break. Also half of the staff had their masks half way off which I'm sure is a Covid violation. This is now the fifth time I have ordered a large to-go order from this location, and I think it will be my last. Every Friday, I order bagels for my office, a $60+ order. Except for my first order, every order has been very late. I commute from Smyrna to Buckhead, so time is of the essence. I have started placing my orders for earlier and earlier times to offset the delays. Today, that didn't work at all. I set my pickup time for 7:05. When I arrived at 7:10, the order had not even been started, even though it seemed slower than a normal Friday. This delay has severely inconvenienced me and I will have to strongly consider an alternate Friday breakfast solution. It's a shame, as my order is a guaranteed $250 a month. read more

I was SO disappointed. I stopped off on the way home for a large cobb salad, hold the chicken, to go. I have generally been very pleased with other Paneras, but I had never been to this particular store. There was only one other person waiting for his order. After 15 minutes by the clock, we both received our orders. Fifteen minutes (!) for a salad in a nearly empty store. Getting home, I found not a cobb salad, but a simple mixed green salad that contained one egg, two teensy slivers of avocado and one tiny morsel of tomato. I ordered French onion soups, a Sierra turkey half sandwich with extra chipotle mayo and apple. I had to go up and ask for my extra mayo since there was hardly on my focaccia bread. No cheese on my soup, no extra mayo... Plus there were a ton if employees there and most just were standing around. There shouldn't have been 9 dirty tables. I love Panera, but this particular location is seriously lacking in customer service. That's not to say that the cashiers aren't friendly and knowledgable, but that's really where it ends. Other locations give customers a number and bring food to the table. This location requires you to go and pick up your food when your name is called. It doesn't help that the guy behind the mic is so depressed it makes my meal taste bad! In addition other locations will ear your plates when they see you are finished. As I sit here and type this review my empty soup and salad dishes remain. As someone who worked in the QSR industry, take this tip - the customer experience is what will put you ahead of competitors. Adjust your labor so you can service your customers better. This will increase sales and you won't have to worry about that line item on your P&L! read more

I'm in complete shock that the kitchen sent this sandwich to my table. I ordered a four cheese grilled cheese sandwich, and I was served a cold grilled cheese on white bread. The bread doesn't even match! Like a 4 year old made this. I will never eat at another Panera. I couldn't even eat this sandwich. THIS particular Panera just stands out to me. I think of it when I need a place a bit further from home that I can relax and do my work in. The set up has a bit of everything for all sorts of people, whether they are working on school/work or just meeting with colleagues or interviewees. And this is something I just notice in all its cleanliness when I come in! PLUS the staff is always on point with attentiveness and knowledge of product and service. They make eye-contact, are alert when I am near and looking like I need something. They also handle the lunch crods VERY well! Fantastic! This is why my employers meet this place for us to meet in this area! Even my friends tend to meet up with me here to play a small, quiet board game on lunch break as this is great for friends or a study group as well. So if you haven't check it out and see what I mean. If you need a ''quiet'' time to come in, may I recommend between 3-6 pm. Just after the rush. read more

I heart Panera's Soups & Salads. This particular location is close to the "place that pays the bills" so I visit it quite frequently. During weekday lunch times, it can be pretty busy, but the staff is very efficient with the orders. They are seldom incorrect and if you have your trusty myPanera Bread rewards card, it's easy for you to know when your order's up as they call out your name. Actually they do ask for your name upon ordering but if you have your card handy, you get that VIP feel when they say Ms. Jill, your order will be right up! Menu suggestions...Thai-Chopped Chicken Salad hands down!! Get the pick 2 with the black bean soup and you will not be disappointed! The serving size is just right and anyone counting WW points, without the wonton strips, your entire meal is 7pts (excluding your baguette or chips on the side)! See I told you, full meal. Now I can say I am not a fan of the sandwiches. There is just something about the bread that I don't like but the salads, soups, muffins, cookies, green tea and free WiFi keeps me coming back for more and more. We came in around 9:15 pm and obviously walked in to an argument between two co-workers. One was upset that the other was taking too long on her bathroom break. When the other girl returned she made a few rude comments and the girl checking us out was not very kind. They were also out of lids and when we asked for one they told us it would be an 7-8 minute wait. It's reasonable to say that management was not there, if they were, they need new management. I was very disappointed with my recent visit to this Panera location. The staff seemed disorganized when I arrived - there were several people moving around doing things but no one was talking orders. Finally someone noticed that a line had formed and came over. I ordered a bowl of soup to go. They have a decent variety, but I was taking it to a sick friend so I went with classic chicken noodle. Five dollars seemed a little steep but I figured the portion would be generous. It wasn't, though: the size was a bit smaller than a standard to go soup one night get from a "real" restaurant. I watched as the line cook placed the bag on the counter with the bowl of soup inside, then he reached into the bread basket and tore off a hunk of baguette, which he just tossed into the bag without any wrapping. Ugh. I carried the bag to my car and drove away, only to realize (thankfully before it had soaked into my upholstery) that he had put the bowl in the bag on its side and soup was leaking everywhere. Overall, very disappointing visit. I would have been better off going to the nearby Publix for a hot soup from the deli, which would have cost less, been just as tasty, and arrived intact. read more

I like Panera Bread's food and it's a nice atmosphere to get some work done in, but management (the thing that would distinguish one Panera location from another) really seems to have taken this place downhill. Shift managers seem to be around less, and the staff is not as well trained. Ice machine and paper towel dispenser in the women's room frequently has issues. For some reason the cash registers weren't working for the sand which side and there's no sign to point customers to the other registers. I'm taking a star off for how long it took for my food to come out. They did apologize for it however, I like when restaurants acknowledge that they are being slow. The parking situation also wasn't great (not the worst I've seen, but a little bit of a struggle). I know that's not necessarily Panera's fault, but that's something you have to take into consideration when you're choosing your locations. The food was of good quality like most Panera Breads I've been to. I had their Greek salad with quinoa which was especially good this trip. I recently moved to Vinings in the middle of the COVID crisis and so the Panera in Smyrna on Springhill Pkwy. is my closet Panera. I have worked in this area for many years and have also visited this location pre- COVID inside the restaurant. This is a long overdue review. The service is terrible and my orders are constantly wrong. The manager is so rude that I don't know how she is allowed to be a manager, I even reported her to the district manager about 2 years ago and yet she is still there. I like the fact you can order ahead and pick up. If you have a Panera card, you can top up with credit electronically any time you like. . I love their main menu items (from sandwiches to soups) and have used Panola a lot for group lunches at work. Each time they have customized my lunches (for up to 20 people) and delivered on time: they'll include an apple, leave out the chips, add water etc. as you require. I love that. Personally fro my individual choices, I especially like ordering off the secret menu. I love their breakfast bowls and some of their salads. The thing I like about panera bread is how consistently bad they're bagels are becoming and the lackluster service. I also enjoy whoever trained all the workers in this fast casual food chain to toast bagels incorrectly. I've been avoiding the Panera located near me in Marietta, so on my way down to church in Douglasville I stopped at this location to run in for some quick bagels... Well I did notice that their bagels were big... like an inflatable tube you ride in, in swimming pools... So I was thinking one location has frisbees... this one has rafting tubes... Anyway the cashier greeted me and I placed my order for a plain bagel and an asiago bagel sliced and toasted.... I pay and step to the side to wait on my bagels. The cashier asks one of the other workers to grab my bagels, and she comes over to tell me they're out of asiago bagels. At 12:30 they're completely out of asiago bagels.... Sorry lunch goers...no asiago bagels for you... So as I watch the worker slice several jumbo plain bagels just to get my one, I say I need a refund for my asiago bagel (it needs to be communicated to the cashiers when they're out of something so they won't have to turn around to do a refund and waste a customers time). She says well you can have two plain bagels... they're the same price... And I say I just want 1 plain bagel... but I'm thinking.... do I look like an idiot those two bagels have never been the same price. She seemed perturbed that I did not want two plain bagels and asked for a refund.... So as I use to live and work in the Vinings area, businesses have definitely changed over the years including this panera.
