I would give this location maybe 3.5 stars, but because in my observance, they seem to mess up orders often. I had to wait a bit for my order, as they had to fix the person's in front of me. I ordered a Toasted Garden Caprese sandwich, but when I went to open my order, I had some kind of chicken sandwich. So I had to return that and wait again. The workers didn't seem to take any acknowledgement or at least say sorry, but made me feel like I was inconveniencing them to make another sandwich instead. Once I was able to eat though, I will say my sandwich was tasty, but didn't have much in it. The restaurant was very nice & clean though and I saw a lady cleaning down all the tables that were open. So the appearance of this Panera Bread is great, but service is lacking. read more

We visit this location occasionally and usually do not feel welcomed but on 12/26 a smiling and helpful woman improved our usual experience. The chili was warm and spicy (yum) but no sour cream available (aww). The BLT was tasty but lacking on "between the bread" quantity. Dishes were piling in the return station although, the restaurant wasn't very busy at 1:30. At least this time there weren't patrons/others sleeping in the booths. I do occasionally see people pop in with their thermos and fill up with beverages as the beverage station faces outward/towards the front door Overall , this was a better visit than my recent past visits and I do like their menu and salads, breads. Once you walk in you're greeted with the smell of fresh food and a friendly staff. Tables and seating areas have different types for you to choose from such as couch seating, classic table and chairs, booths, low up-down seats, etc. The cleanliness of the restaurant is excellent and the staff are always helpful. I love almost everything on the menu because it is made fresh and warm if it is hot. Personally I love the wide variety of drinks but I always get a smoothie!! This healthy but sweet place will sure want you taste buds want more! This is at most, my favorite Panera to go to. I recommend this place and will be coming back very soon! read more

When I asked why they always seem to be out of bread around dinner time I was told they try to estimate how many customers they are going to have a run out. I can partially understand but 3 times! This place is awesome. Great customer service, clean restrooms, friendly staff. I eat lunch here at least twice a week. My one and only complaint is they are always out of my favorite bagel (Cinnamon Crunch). I don't understand why they cant just make extra everyday? I like the food, i think its expensive for what you get but it is tasty. Fernando in the drive thru is a sweety, Mr Lee the manager in the day is great. My issues are the wait times, couple of homeless types in the dinning room. One weird guy on a radio shouting and staring, another a woman who drinks water and eats McDonalds and talks lady on her phone and its lunch and you can find a table and these random homeless crazies are there not paying and you have to go eat in your car. last issue is that you can stand at the counter for 5 mins or longer and no one takes your order an when they do come they seem upset that you need to order. Food is good when consistent and correct. Last time I ignored the fact they didn't include any of the side items for the three orders I placed. I went here today at 8pm and stood at the counter 8 minutes before someone came from the back to take my order. She did not say " Sorry for the wait" but instead acted like she was annoyed that a customer came in to interrupt her conversation with co-workers. I ordered two bread bowls with chicken noodle soup. I get home and there was not enough soup to even fill the bread bowl half full. WRONG SIZE container. See pic attached...literally there was no liquid after bread soaked it up. Ate there yesterday ordered French onion soup lukewarm at best no cheese small amount of croutons are using a different bowl and not baking it in the oven like they used to as a side I ordered macaroni and cheese, don't judge I was in the carbs yesterday. Macaroni and cheese has changed the recipe. The cheese is more like cream sauce the cheddar Taste is totally gone. Had to track down Butter, and hot sauce to pep of the stuff. No napkins out. Very rude customer service. My daughter and I came in there last week around 8:30 in the evening. We waited for five minutes because there was no one at the front counter. Finally a girl comes out to take our order she doesn't greet us she just ask us what we want. My daughter and I both had Face mask on and as my daughter was trying to order the girl would not let her order because her mask wasn't above her nose. The mask fell below her nose and the girl was very rude and kept calling my 20-year-old daughter sweetie and honey. I have never been treated like that in any restaurant during this whole pandemic. Also there was one other customer in the restaurant and she was on the far end of the restaurant. And the girl that we were trying to get to take our order was nowhere near us to be worried about whether my daughter had her mask over her nose or not. After the third time of her calling my daughter out to put the mask over her nose we decided to leave. To me that's rude it's not like we walked into the restaurant without a mask on. This is truly sad to us because Panera was one of our favorites but now we are done. Instead we went to Groucho's in downtown Spartanburg and were treated respectfully. read more
