From start to finish everything was executed perfectly! Our waitress was terrific! She more than took care of our various needs more than once and always wore a genuine smile. I've had the pleasure of dining here probably several hundred times over the years and I've never had a single issue with the food, prices, or service. Today we went out to lunch with friends who had read about Wade's, and it was every bit as good as we remember. I had the fried chicken, sweet potato casserole, and peas. The chicken was tender, juicy, and piping hot, and I could have eaten a giant bowl of the sweet potato casserole, It is so decadent! My husband had the meatloaf which he declared "delicious" and his sides were cabbage and collard greens. For dessert the four of us shared a slice of the peanut butter pie drizzled with chocolate, oh my so good! The place was packed when we got there before noon, but they were moving people in and out quickly, and there was a very short wait. Great chicken fried steak and gravy!! Vegetables are great, too. Service is great and they are always busy.

First time there. I attempted to call for a to go order since we were on a limited for time. Ordering from the menu offered online were met with set backs since the items we wanted were not offered. The young lady disconnected our call checking the type of drink I asked about. The cashier in the to go area was very helpful, so I reordered since my first request was not processed. There once was a day when you couldn't call yourself "southern" without a weekly walk-through at the line at your local cafeteria style eatery. Endless choices of fresh cooked Southern Delights; most of it slathered in in rich country gravy. Collards, okra, carrots, mashed potatoes, sweets and save room for some macaroni and cheese. The soufflé was very good, with plenty of marshmallow. The mac-n-cheese was classic, just like the dish your favorite great aunt takes to church potluck. My wife her mother and I went to Wade's. This was my very first time going. There was a little wait but not too long. We ordered. The good came out in a timely fashion. It all was delicious. We ordered plates to go. People actually think this food is good? Comfort food? Really? The other plates were tossed in the trash before we snapped photos of the other crappy food. The actual cooks need to expose this place for cutting corners on ingredients and adding fillers. A teaspoon of gravy on tasteless dressing and the broccoli casserole should be called "Broccoli Stalk Casserole" because there were no broccoli florets in it, just stalks. read more

The service was ok, not rude but not overly friendly either. The rest of the employees that we ran across were very friendly and that's why I'll go back one more time. I was amazed there was a line to the front door on a Monday! But don't let that worry you. The line goes fast and you get sat pretty quick. I was impressed. Went this past Friday before Vince Gill Concert , it was busy, but although the line-up, it wasn't but 10 minutes and we got seated and a waiter was there! I ordered the country style steak and my partner ordered the meatloaf. Was hearing about this all week, all good things. I think this must be one of the most popular restaurants in the area. So much so that my cousin said we should go after 2:00 PM on Sunday, after the huge church crowds. About a 25 minute drive. When we arrived at about 2:15 and there were not that many cars, so we felt we made the right decision. Unfortunately for us, and many others, the dining room was closed. Our option was to order to go, or visit another restaurant. With all the expectations I voted for to go meals. We ordered, difficult because of list of delicious looking entrees and sides. We waited about 15 minutes and our orders came out, neatly packaged in styrofoam and a heavy plastic bag. The most difficult part was the wonderful aromas on the 25 minute ride back home, while very hungry. Can you hear the growling stomachs? I opted for the turkey dressing and gravy, with collard greens and fried okra. Also two cornbread muffins, which were saved, the stuffing was enough. Turkey was fork tender and delightful, stuffing was moist and wonderful, gravy excellent. Collards were superb, just a little hot pepper vinegar elevated them. Fried okra was also excellent, I'm sure even better hot. And I finished it with a piece of sumptuous pecan pie. My cousin had ham steak with creamed corn and sweet potato casserole. His wife had hamburger steak with broccoli cheese casserole and mac & cheese. Empty containers were a good sign of how they enjoyed the meal.
