The employees are very friendly and they keep the dining area clean and tidy. The restrooms and outdoor space also seems to be well-kept. This location also has REAL MUGS if you're looking to sip your coffee more comfortably For anyone planning on using the WiFi, do be aware that the connection here is unstable. At times, I would be able to handle larger downloads/uploads but I had several issues taking video calls. During some moments, even a web page would not load due to the increased traffic on the network. I would have expected a more stable connection from such a large cafe chain. Soup is always great. Our family favorites are broccoli cheddar, chicken and wild rice, and squash. I usually get a pick two, smaller portion of soup/salad and/or sandwich. The salads have slipped in quality, imo. But, I am admittedly snooty about salad. I dislike any bad tomatoes or wilted lettuce. Fwp, for sure. Highly recommend chai lattes and whatever seasonal cookie there is, right now it is a cookie shaped like a mitten (like a Jan Brett children's story). My experience at all Paneras have been pretty consistent. The food is really good, and fresh. The atmosphere is nice. If you want your food fast, you should probably use the drive through, and the fare is not a big range, it's soups, sandwiches, salads, breads, pastries, cookies, bagels. The young lady at the drive up takes my order, I say "thank you" and she responds with a less than enthusiastic "yea". Meanwhile I get a text that my people want to add a few items. terrible customer service. workers were rude and the floors and tables didn't look like anyone had tried to clean them in days. they claim that the dishwasher was broken so all of our food was served in to go containers with plastic silverware. this is the second time we've got food there and I will never go back. I've always been a fan of Panera and was excited when one finally found its way to Traverse city. Unfortunately, this branch is having a difficult time getting its feet off the ground and meeting the superb standards Panera loyals are accustomed to at other locations. One continual frustration is how this location not only grandiosely confuses lattes with cappuccinos, but each of the initial 3 chai tea lattes I've received have always contained less than half of the actual beverage, the rest of the cup is just filled with foam. This is especially frustrating because I order mine with almond milk, an extra 65 cents for what probably amounts to 1/2 - 1/3 of milk. Although, I have them remake it each time, due to the consistent slowness of this location, by time they finally remake my drink in a moderately correct fashion, the rest of my party has finished their entire meals. This last time I also spoke with the general manager about the persistent problem, but all that was offered was a casual "I'm sorry." No compensation, regardless of signs posted all over, indicating that they will not only fix their mistakes, but also provide compensation in one way or another. There is never a promise for a correction of the problem -- it makes me wonder if they do this intentionally to save on costs, or if the baristas are truly that clueless. Today was the last straw- went through drive through for a bagel with cream cheese and coffee. I want a meal ready to eat. Handing me a bagel and a tub of cream cheese isn't that; it's groceries. After I got home with the messed up takeout order, I called only to be rerouted to a full voicemail box that hung up on me- twice. This Panera Bread is outstanding! I love it so much that my best friend and I skipped physics class to come eat here all the time. Why study kinetics when you can study the physical properties of a french baguette?! I always order the cheddar broccoli soup and asagio bagel. Every time I go to this Panera, I'm always so amazed by the stellar service there; the employees are all so nice and chill, and they are great at their job!
