    Cinnamon Swirl & Raisin Bagel
    Travis B.

Panera Cinnamon Swirl & Raisin Bagel: Bagels typically are not a part of my diet, but I do love having a good warm cinnamon bagel as a treat during the colder months. Panera's version is a sourdough bagel swirled with cinnamon and cinnamon flavored chips, brown sugar and raisins. Although it's a massive bagel there's nothing special or flashy about it (unlike their tantalizing Cinnamon Crunch Bagel), but it delivers what is expected out of that type of bagel. Pleasant, if not light cinnamon flavor, a moderate number of raisins, and a satisfyingly chewy texture (I prefer to warm mine in the microwave as opposed to a toaster). I also like to slather mine in Cinnamon Toast Crunch Creamy Cinnamon Spread (not available at Panera). Panera has some tasty spreads, but they don't have a cinnamon spread of their own (maybe somebody at Panera will take note). The bagel is no better than a frozen cinnamon raisin bagel from my local grocery store and I wouldn't go out of my way to get another, but I would pick it up again in the break room at work. What's up with all the mediocre reviews? Been to this location about a half dozen times, and I must say I find it more than satisfying. Lots of open space, lots of natural light. Ok, it's a little sterile but that's to be expected of many a chain. They have seating for groups of all sizes. Great place to sit and read. Never seems terribly busy but then I've mainly been during off hours. I did order a egg, ham, tomato, and cheese breakfast sandwich once to go and was disappointed in the presentation and size compared to the Panera photo: Check out this photo on Yelp https://www.yelp.com/biz_photos/MXP8xsIXjtq2B2WNkLEo5g?select=DqGgBQHtrLOvml1NdvA4jA Check out this photo on Yelp https://www.yelp.com/biz_photos/MXP8xsIXjtq2B2WNkLEo5g?select=nLHo0F5s50SVWds9932PTg Soon after I posted my photo they took down theirs. Perhaps they no longer offer it. Also picked up a brownie, though it looked a little small, very dense and heavy and not too sweet. I would get it again and eat it a little more slowly next time. But what was clearly the best was the Chipotle Chicken Wrap. Very good, was tempted to get a second. And having asked for tap water to go, they even added a empty cup to my to go bag. Location is easy accessible from the Fox River Trail to boot so great place to take a break on a long hike. 3.75/5 - Food 4.00/5 - Atmosphere 3.75/5 - Service (though I usually just get to go) 2.00/5 - Price for what you get Wish they had more electrical outlets. Will be back.

Today we went in and the wait was an hour. There was a huge boom of business that they didn't expect. Every single employee was doing their best to help customers with the long wait and keeping the environment very up beat. Even when customers were rude and irritated the staff did not let them get the best of them. I think that is what makes a good business is continuing to work hard when there is a lot of pressure. **Update: Religiously most Paneras forget to add the arugula to my sandwich (since it is a modification) and much to my delighted surprise it was added today even with all the craziness where I would have let it slide. Thank you!!

Good service, the new ordering system (iPads for ordering) makes finding stuff easier.

Service was almost nonexistent unless you count servers yelling across the restaurant, and ignoring us. We had empty water pitchers, food that was slung on to a plate and looking at filthy tables. Professionalism was nowhere to be found. We kept wondering if a manager was going to appear... or if the entire place was being run by teenagers. It's honestly shocking because this used to be a well-managed spot with great food and a welcoming atmosphere. Now it feels chaotic, immature, and uncomfortable for anyone expecting an actual dining experience. If you're looking for dinner, you may want to keep driving. If you're looking for a loud, awkward social experiment with margaritas, you've found your place.

Their team worked with us on layout beforehand and even played our selected playlist on the sound system, they also helped me with some final set up with signs and some Christmas crackers I wanted to place at the tables. Everything ran smooth with food moving along at the times we discussed. Everyone enjoyed themselves and is still talking about it almost a whole week later!

We went here a few weeks back with some friends. The last time we ate here we had a great…read moreexperience, but it was probably over a year ago. My husband decided to order the meatloaf. Which I guess could be kind of odd to have on a bar menu, but if it's on the menu, you would think it would be good. The second it was put down. It looked like it came out of a prepared TV dinner. The meatloaf was thin, sliced, and tasted did just like a Salisbury steak. And kind of chewy. Not appealing on the plate either. He substituted a side salad instead of fries. The side salad was super tiny and not worth it. I ordered wings. When they were delivered all 12 were drummies. I didn't get one flat. The waitress then brought me out some flats mins later when I asked for them and showed her my plate. As for beverages, I ordered a tap of spotted cow and it was very flat and not cold. We won't be back anytime soon.

I understand that its fried food but it was so oily that ketchup couldn't stay on the fries. We didn't ask for a new batch because they were very busy and we didn't want to wait another 30 mins. For the price we paid, I would think the quality would be better than McDonald's. We ended up throwing away our leftovers.

Rare is it that I go out for two meals in a day, and never before to the same restaurant for them!…read moreBut yesterday, we had to drop off my car for some repair work, so indulged in breakfast out at The Coop, a favorite. The food is always delicious, the service is truly impeccable with well trained, friendly servers, and it's very clean and homey. I had an egg special, and my choices included two (perfectly cooked) poached eggs, three crisp on the outside sausages, a well balanced fruit bowl with fresh pineapple, melons, and grapes, and a short stack of their light and fluffy pancakes. My husband had over easy eggs, bacon, pancakes and fruit, plus we both had The Coop's rich, deeply flavorful coffee. Everything was excellent and at a most affordable price. Fast forward several hours: my daughter and her young sons were in the area on an errand, so we met up and of course the boys were hungry, so as The Coop was, once again, very close, we went there. My daughter was very happy to see decidedly different menu options for kids' meals than the usual. Two of them had grilled cheese sandwiches with fruit cups, the third had a scrambled egg, sausage, a pancake and fruit, my daughter had French toast, and I had two cheeseburger sliders with fries. Everyone loved their food and the atmosphere, and they all want to go back. Two great experiences in one day!
