    Prime Rib sandwich
    Erin P.

Great place. Really well run. The staff hustles. The space is clean, well stocked, set up for both efficient service and customer satisfaction. Menu is awesome and in-house made when/where it makes sense. Food is super tasty. I had the Prime Rib sandwich with mushrooms and pepper jack cheese (which were slight mods to the sandwich on the menu) - it was delicious. My guy had the Reuben and loved every bite. Can't wait to come back for more!

Started with a Sprecher root beer, my wife ended up having a specialty drink that the bartender tried twice and was willing to do a third try surprisingly to get her drink right and we're so grateful! It was superb! Skylar was of great service to us and friendly the whole time! The grilled chicken Caesar salad was huge and the only problem I had was there was barely any dressing on it, but for a nominal fee, you could order a number of cups of Caesar dressing. I ordered two for my salad rather than complaining about it.

Lunch on a Monday - go! Our party of 5 was seated right away and drinks followed. Not super busy but people both at the bar and eating in the dining room. Waitstaff table service was great - friendly and knowledgeable. We had burgers, quesadilla, wrap and sandwiches mostly with fries. The burger on a pretzel bun was really on an actual pretzel!

Went to Tally for a fish fry and it came with clam chowder soup with bacon, carrots, onions , potatoes, celery and finally large chunks of clams and the flavor was amazing. The fish fry consisted of 3 long pieces of fish and potatoes. My wife and mother in law could have split an order of beer batter cod, which had a nice little batter. Yes we plan on returning and I will order it again, yum! Stopped in again, 12/1/23 and couldn't finish the meal because it was so big

3pc Cod Fish Fry w/ Tally Fries + Lemon & Tartar sauce

I would absolutely recommend this place! To start, the fish fry was delicious! So was the salad I chose as one of my sides. The tally fries also had a great texture. The fish tastes fresh as well. Another plus was the tartar sauce, there was actually enough to last your whole meal without having to ask for more! The other member of my party said the potato pancakes had a good texture and were also great. She also really enjoyed the thick and chunky (in a good way!) texture of the clam chowder. The service was amazing! The place was very busy and all our orders were brought out in a timely manner. When we walked in the hostess asked where we would prefer to sit, despite the limited seating due to the busyness at the time. She also swept and cleaned off the area as well! Very nice and considerate. Our waitress was also very kind. She also didn't bother us too much, but still made sure we were satisfied. The interior was also very clean and neat, I was very impressed. They also had nice decorations.

I had previously been to Tally's and remember it being so good! When we moved to Waukesha I opted to take my family for dinner (before the bar was hopping) and found ourselves a little disappointed. If you are looking to sit down and hear each other talk - you'll want to avoid Tally's. It is usually pretty busy and the wide open, spacious atmosphere is perfect for creating quite the noisy environment. We were seated at a large table right by the walkway to the kitchen and bathrooms which certainly did not help our cause. The nachos - while they were average nachos they portion size was HUGE! My 20 year old made it his mission to finish the plate. He said they were good, not great. We also ordered a pizza pretzel which was SO disappointing for a $3 pretzel! It was burned, hard to chew, and not very "filled". The last thing we got was a cheese pizza with additional toppings. The pizza was the best part of the meal, but still the crust left something to be desired. I am not sure if Tally's was just having an off day or if the cooks changed. I will probably give it another try down the road...

    Buffalo Pretzel - uncooked
    David M.

I live in MN, but most of my family and old friends live in WI. One of the last trips home, I was looking for a pretzel place and this place was highly recommended by one of my friends. I heard this place has amazing food and sells giant pretzels (both in store and to go orders). I saw on Yelp that they had a giant dill pretzel, but that was seasonal, so I decided on the Buffalo pretzel. My dad picked up the pretzel and we cooked it at home in their pizza oven. The pretzel itself if a great idea, but following the baking directions, the pretzel became a bit hard. I will say there was a fair amount of chicken and cheese, I just wish the pretzel wasn't as hard as it was. Maybe eating it at the restaurant is a completely different experience though. I would definitely give it another try and eat there. Hopefully they will bring back the dill pretzel!

Inside the honey sriracha chicken sandwich

There's so many options that there's definitely something for everybody in your family. They've got all of your typical bar favorites and some interesting takes on those as well. I had to read over the menu 3x to feel like I was prepared to order. My family was all satisfied with the meal. I personally had the sriracha chicken sandwich that was well cooked and paired with pineapple salsa - could have been a little spicier in my opinion. For the side I went with the homemade chili, a solid choice, but heard that the beef barely was also good. Also don't sleep on the garlic fries...they're awesome. My one gripe is the Sunday special. A pitcher of domestic draft beer with any stuffed pretzel purchase. But you can't pay the difference to upgrade the pitcher to another draft. I came in with a pretzel in mind but was put off by this since I didn't want a domestic and certainly didn't want to waste a free pitcher offer. Kaylee was our server and incredibly welcoming, accommodating and patient with a table of 7 of my rowdy family. Will certainly be back to try more!

    Beef Barley soup

A regular stop for us when we're in the area. The pretzel of the week is always a must try. It can take a while to make (and they sell out sometimes) so let them know if you want one right away. But they are delicious and we always have leftovers because they are truly giant. The barley soup was so good, think and meaty, we thought about getting more to take home for later. It definitely has a bustling bar feel so not your best option for a quiet talk but otherwise definitely recommend!!

It's a busy place so we had to wait about 10 minutes on a Saturday morning, but I was OK with it. The building itself is pretty good sized. They have a couple of different rooms with lots of tables and booths. They also have some tables outside to wait at, but I'm not sure if they have an actual outdoor patio to eat at. The service was great and everyone was friendly. They all definitely work well as a team. I started out with just a plain black coffee. They also have iced coffees and Frappuccino type coffees. I believe they have juices and can even make some cocktails like mimosas. They did offer me sugar and cream with my coffee, but I just like my coffee black so that's how I ordered it. For my entrée, I ordered the village omelette and added gyro. It comes with spinach, tomatoes, and feta so the gyro meat sounded delightful in it. It also came with a choice of side, and I opted for fresh fruit. And then finally, you can choose between pancakes or toast. I went with plain sourdough toast. Everything was great and super fresh. The omelette was filling and well-made. They have a gyro sandwich and based on that omelette, I would definitely get the sandwich. The meat was tender and flavorful. And the feta gave the perfect little salty tang. I actually want to re-create the omelette that I had there here in Kansas City because it was so so good. The fruit was fresh and was mainly just honeydew and cantaloupe. And the toast was a perfect vehicle for some of the omelette to my mouth. Overall, I loved this brunch spot. If I lived in the area, I would go pretty regularly. If you are up north in Wisconsin stop in and check them out because you will not be disappointed.

Nick was our server and took great care of us. we tried the following: Drinks - I had a dirty gin martini and my wife had a captain and diet (her go to) and both were perfectly mixed. Appetizers - We were really looking forward to the buratta appetizer, but it had just gone off menu, so we went with the goat cheese that replaced it, which was good (but I would cut down the number of sun-dried tomatoes by 1/3). My wife ordered the onion soup and really enjoyed it. Mains - My wife had the filet and said it was the best she has had in a long while. There were several choices for both breakfast and lunch entrees; I enjoyed the fried fish and beef burgundy, while my husband said both the fried chicken and the beef (I think it was prime rib) were good, but the beef was on the tough side. The French toast was puffy and moist, but the Belgian waffles were hard and bone dry. The scrambled eggs were rather dense, but the bacon, sausage, and cheesy potatoes were, we agreed, flavorful.
