Have been wanting to come here for a while- Enjoyed my meal! Lots of great options to choose from. You can get fruit or potatoes AND toast or a pancake with your omelet which I thought was great! Not super cheap but it's a lot of food. Also tried the banana bread latte which was okay but kind of watered down. All the workers were very friendly! I would come again!

Super family style breakfast, brunch or lunch joint near downtown Waukesha. Food was really great. Will return. (Try the Sante Fe Cooparito The Coop Club or the El Toro Omelet).

Delicious breakfast spot with a bomb burrito option! We waited about 25min for a table for 4 on Mother's Day morning, which wasn't bad at all. Service was fast and friendly. They have a kid menu, but it's not listed online that I could see.

There's plenty of parking and easy access in to restaurant. They are always busy and there was a 10-15 minute wait which was accurate. As soon as we walked in the NOISE smacks you right in the face and ears. The restaurant was spacious and clean with a nice menu but the NOISE makes it almost unbearable. My wife ordered the Crème brûlée French toast which looked good but was extremely sweet and quickly turned mushy. She would not order it again. My mother in law ordered French toast and bacon. The bacon was hard and difficult for her to eat and the French toast was average. I ordered a BLT, added an egg to make it a BELT, and then added cheese to make it a BELTCH sandwich with crispy fries and a cup of chicken dumpling soup which came with the meal. I even told the waitress that I hate soggy limp fries. Because I lost my smell and taste 5 months ago I asked my wife to try the soup, and when she took 2 spoons I knew she liked it and she told me it tasted good. My sandwich was nice and thick, full of good food and the lettuce was very fresh but they were hot house tomatoes. My fries arrived COLD and SOGGY . I would order it again, however, I doubt we will ever return to the restaurant. The WOMENs restroom is under construction so they have to share with the men and I would think that a restaurant that size with only one functioning restroom is a health code violation. While waiting in line to use the men's restroom, a very nice lady told me that it's been under construction for a very long time. I noticed that there were 4 men inside of the restroom standing around TALKING and NO WORK was being done. They made sure to try to keep the door closed every time someone walked by. I sure hope that they are not being paid by the hour. If you try out the restaurant, Take ear plugs and schedule extra time for your visit. The restaurant is average at best,

I stopped at The Coop for my birthday breakfast. The service was impeccable. The server was so kind and really explained items on the menu even brought out my French toast with a candle on it. The food here was extremely delicious. Such a home-cooked feel. Would definitely go back.

Delicious food, great service. Can be quite loud due to how packed the restaurant is. Unfortunately the lines/wait is long but very much worth it.

We met up with some friends the morning after a wedding to enjoy some breakfast, we were seated right away. The menu is large enough, there is something for everyone. Our server was so friendly as we were all a little undecisive at first. I enjoyed a delicious creme brulee latte and the breakfast tacos. Others enjoyed some of the skillets and coffees. We thought the food was delicious and a good amount for the price. I would love to stop by another time and try more!

Made another trip to The Coop on Friday and it was fine. I ordered the apple cinnamon French toast (an autumn special) and it was just alright. I ate about half of it, but the apple topping was essentially canned apple pie filling -- a little too goopy and artificial for my taste. I wouldn't recommend it as there are plenty of other yummy things on the menu. Our server wasn't spectacular. She only made one trip to our table to take our food and beverage order and then one more to drop off the food. It would have been nice to get a beverage refill. We had to wave her down for the check. As for ambiance, The Coop is a cute little diner. It's cozy and clean, but nothing too special. Even though this trip was mediocre, I'll probably visit The Coop again in the future.

Awesome breakfast / brunch / lunch place with table service. Went on a Friday around noon and were seated right away. Our server was friendly and prompt. Menu has a lot of options - everyone can find something they will love. I had the Coop burger and fries, delicious. Too big, had to take half the burger home. Same with the Coop skillet - fantastic taste and enough leftovers for breakfast for 2 of us (we added some additional eggs). We had a small kiddo making a fair bit of noise toward the end of our meal, but other than that the restaurant was not too loud and was very clean. We considered coming back another day during my visit to Waukesha, it was that good.

A personal favorite of mine, their use of local coffee brand, Colectivo, exacerbates their local feel and reputation. The chicken and dumpling soup is one of the greatest soups in Waukesha I have ever tasted, perfectly seasoned to perfection, and the dumplings are soft and tender. The soup keeps calling me back every time I put down the spoon. Like a pie in a window seal, I can't help but get drawn to its amazing flavors. The Southwest chicken wrap is a perfect example of textbook food science working for the betterment of the dish, the texture makes my mouth burst with flavor that would otherwise be lost if made sloppy, the perfect ratio of lettuce, tomato, onion, corn, beans, sauce, and chicken create a classy cotillion on my taste buds. Overall the service was phenomenal, the food was delicious, the coffee was eye opening, and their atmosphere is sweet, cozy, and local. 10/10 in all categories

    Espanola skillet
    Kristie A.

Espanola skillet Offering great food, expertly prepared at a good price, this was a great choice for brunch. The menu covered all the basics. I had the Espanola skillet, delivered exactly as ordered, with jalapeños and salsa on the side. The two-egg skillet with eggs on top meant the eggs disappeared pretty quickly but the portions of chicken and ham were particularly generous, with plenty of each leftover in my to-go box. Taylor took good care of us and let my husband believe his jokes were funny. There wasn't much room for improvement, except maybe a better distribution strategy for the cheese, which was super thick in some areas and pretty light in others. If you're looking for brunch in Waukesha, you can't go wrong here.

Even had our 40th anniversary party here (on a Monday night). It's an excellent restaurant AND with reasonable pricing. The restaurant is small and intimate. There is a bar area, that has seating, or you several different areas of different size groups. A large table in the middle can accomodate a large group. The staff are always over-the-top amazing. The menu is tapas style has a large variety of dishes, and they change it occasionally to keep it fresh. There are several items that are always on our go-to list including the truffle brussel sprouts, chicken legs, pork belly, grilled veggies and the flourless chocolate cake. The owners Christina and Jason are terrific people. Super easy to work with when we planned our anniversary party.

We started with the Brussels sprouts. They seemed deep fried, which isn't my preference, but we loved them. Garlic aoeli and Parmesan was an unexpectedly good flavor. They then served the roasted beet arugula salad. Although we don't like beets we loved this salad. One serving gave each of three of us a decent amount of salad. It had a great dressing applied in just the right amount and delicious pickled onions. The roasted beets seemed a touch mushy but were palatable to beet dislikes. Next we moved onto the scallops. We highly recommend them they arrived on a bed of pasta with some vegetables and a wonderful cream sauce. We loved them. Just be aware you need to say how many scallops you want. It's $8 per scallop. We finished with the beef tenderloin. Be careful with your requested doneness. We asked for medium rare and received rare. Otherwise they had a nice crunchy sear and a delicious flavor and accoutrements like mushrooms and the most smooth, creamy, and flavorful garlic mash I've ever had. It had five good sized slices. These three dishes filled up three of us. They serve one plate at a time which gives your meal a relaxed, social feel and also gives you time to digest. It takes about 20 minutes for the brain to receive the message you are full so I think dining at this relaxed pace allows you both to get the full flavors of each dish and also to eat just the right amount and not overeat. The only bad part of the meal was the espresso martini. Don't get it. I've tasted way better. Didn't even finish it because of not great taste.

I searched on Yelp and came across Parkside 23. It sounded perfect. When we pulled into the parking lot, it was very crowded. I called in to the restaurant to make sure they'd have room for us, and was told that yes, they had just had a cancellation for a table for two, so come on in. We did, and we were seated almost immediately. From the minute we walked in the restaurant, everything was perfect. Hostess Heidi was lovely, our server Sara was amazing, and the food was incredible. My friend had the meatloaf, and crème brûlée for dessert. She said both were great. She's not a drinker, but did have a couple Shirley Temples, which were perfect. I have the pretzel crusted veal with spaetzel. I asked for them to hold the asparagus, which is usually cut up in the spaetzel along with mushrooms and onions, and they did it perfectly. The veal was especially amazing, and the spaetzel was very good, too. I tried the Mr Manhattan, and had another one as my dessert. I'm always delighted when my usual craft cocktail is one of their classics on the menu. It was well-made, if a bit small for the price point. We've already decided that this will be our go-to place for lunch whenever I travel up from Chicago to visit my friend. I'm also making plans to bring my husband up there sometime, because I think he will love it, too. A great find!

It's a pretty dark, steakhouse, vibe inside with old school Frank Sinatra-esque music in the background. The service level here was perfect, I love a place where the staff plays zone and if someone notices something then they cover it seamlessly. Nick was our server and took great care of us. we tried the following: Drinks - I had a dirty gin martini and my wife had a captain and diet (her go to) and both were perfectly mixed. Appetizers - We were really looking forward to the buratta appetizer, but it had just gone off menu, so we went with the goat cheese that replaced it, which was good (but I would cut down the number of sun-dried tomatoes by 1/3). My wife ordered the onion soup and really enjoyed it. Mains - My wife had the filet and said it was the best she has had in a long while. I am a sucker for lamb and wasn't feeling like a steak, so that is what I went with. Both were amazing and we both had mashed potatoes. Mine also came with carrots with a demi-glaze.
