We were served cold soups and when we requested for it to be warmed up they directed us to the microwave they have outside. They knew about the soups being cold. Wondering why one would even serve cold soup. They gave us chips when we had asked for a baguette. When we asked for an apple instead they denied it. I really like our Waynesboro chain. The restaurant itself is really clean, and staff are super friendly. There's an outside area that's covered which is nice and is dog friendly, they have a huge water bowl which is nice. My favorite meal currently is the chipotle chicken avocado melt which is delicious. I also like how there's a drive thru now because if I need to eat on the go I can put in a mobile order and pick it up in the drive thru. read more

We came here over the weekend for a family get together. If you weren't aware this location offers a large room to rent for free-making this a great spot to come for work meetings, group functions, or small hobby clubs. The store was clean and food/drink was consistent with all Paneras. On Sunday, 4/13 we went to Panera-Waynesboro for dinner. Arrived about 7:15 PM. I ordered a pick two with tomato soup. Was told they were out of tomato soup...okay choose French onion. My husband ordered the bacon chicken ranch sandwich and was told they were out of the bread that goes on that. They had one bread available for sandwich so he said okay. I went to Panera last week and there was good and bad. The good was the Napa chicken salad sandwich. I've ordered it several times and I noticed the chicken salad was less and less and didn't cover the bread, but this time the chicken salad covered the bread and the sandwich was very good. The best one I r had in a long time. I also ordered the new buffalo chicken melt. Horrible. Looked nothing like the picture online and was barely any chicken on it , no onions, and had no flavor. It was very disappointing. I know stuff does not always look like the picture but this was terrible. Will I eat there again? UPDATE: Called the restraunt to let them know what happened. Spoke with the manager about the thai salad and how it didn't have red peppers, edamamae, or carrots in it and she corrected me - said it didn't have carrots in it. Clearly pictured below is the ingredients listed in the thai salad. It has carrots in it. I don't see how this was relevant other than attempting to make me feel like I didn't know what I was talking about. She was really pleasant otherwise on the phone and they did offer me a free salad . But this is not the point. It's about the fact that everytime I go the salad is never made correctly or they forget something in the order. I won't be going back sadly :( ----- I don't understand why everytime I go here they mess up something in my order. I always try and be understanding that it sometimes happens but now it almost feels like I'm living in the truman show when I go here. Everytime I order a thai salad they almost always give me an Asian salad makeup with no edamamae, carrots, or peppers . At one point I thought I had the salads wrong and asked the employee what came in it. Before that they forgot both my sides of baguettes and chips. Panera isn't cheap and usually when I'm ordering it's for lunch so I don't have the option to turn around and go back. It's so infuriating at this point. Ordered to-go and ended up eating in the restaurant. Roasted Turkey Avocado BLT was a treat. The bitter lettuce was fresh and a nice complement to the rich avocado and bacon. Corn Chowder is on the summer menu and a crave food for me. Lots of flavor without being milky in any way. The frozen lemonade was ready for us at the pickup station and the second drink cup was empty. Staff said I could make my own. So, I mixed it up - unsweetened tea and hibiscus ginger tea together. I enjoyed my hybrid tea but the frozen strawberry lemonade was quite awful. No strawberry flavor and the lemon flavor was 'powdery'. Poured it out and got a palatable soft drink from the beverage bar. And the frozen drink cup was quite small. Everything was tasty - except for the lemonade. Thought they were a breast cancer advocate the way they did special treats last year for breast cancer awareness month. I'm a breast cancer advocate and distribute materials and add treats along as a positive little goodies. I pass these bags out all over they are from VA breast care foundation so they educate and promote breast care, resources if diagnosed and then again bags vary what goodie items are inside. The girl at the drive thru literally acted disgusted over me offering her a bag and then said as if she was repulsed no to me asking her to give it to another employee. It was so rude and to treat a nice kind act as if I offended her and was handing her a pile of dog poop was so unnecessary and rude . When I said it was just a kind gesture and someone not wanting to see another women possibly have breast health issues she literally the girl who accepts cash and ppls credit and debit cards said she doesn't like to touch things other people have touched ....great you work with the public and your job is to touch things they have all day . I'm normally shown appreciation but here the attitude has really rubbed me the wrong way and I will NOT ever visit this store again. It's really one thing to kindly pass but seriously the way she acted was beyond dramatic and too much and so I just will not bring my $25 and change for 2 sandwiches and a brownie. I also wanted an apple but was never asked the option, I normally get a meal so when I wasn't asked I didn't know you got a side. Review of my visit on 2/17/2022. First time visiting this Panera Bread location. Largest one I've been to, appeared to be seating all over the place! Plenty of parking. Clean and organized establishment. Employee taking my order was patient and appeared happy to be there. Quiet for a Thursday evening. Order was correct. Chicken salad sandwich and broccoli macaroni and cheese were top-notch! Only cons was that my order took too long and I was never offered alternates for chips and the baguette. A generous 4-stars only for a first time visit. If I visit Waynesboro, VA again, and need my Panera Bread fix, I'm grabbing some food straightaway! read more

Panera is nice little stop for a quick lunch or bite while your out shopping or just need a snack. There's plenty of parking and it's located nicely on the west side of town. The prices are little high for the quantity of food you get, but I must say everything is delicious. Waynesboro's Panera also has a drive thru option which I frequent often. read more

We can always sit outside at any Panera and this one was no exception. I hate to say it but I always kind of get the same thing when I come here. Half salad and half sandwich. And its always the Greek salad and usually one of the "healthier" sandwiches. And today was no exception, the basic deli Turkey. Anything you get from here is going to be delicious. Ive tried a lot of things and they have all been great. I kind of have to wonder why you are even reading reviews on Panera unless its to see how clean this place is? And again, its Panera. They have standards. So, was the food good? Yes-always. Was the place clean- Yes, always. Lots of outside seating, there wasn't a wait when we were there on a Saturday. Nuff said. This location is HUGE. We stopped by last weekend while driving to Roanoke from Virginia Beach. I wanted something healthy so we kept an eye out for Panera. I knew there was one near here off the interstate so we took the exit and ended up here. I have never seen a Panera with a drive through before. It is what we used some I had my dog in the car and it was too hot to leave him (English bulldog). I ran inside to use the bathroom and saw that this place has like three separate seating areas for eating which are separated into different dining rooms. My Cobb salad was good (minus the chicken which I got on the side and gave to my boyfriend) and I got the summer corn soup. Mmm. Very polite drive through attendant who was patient and helpful in answering my picky boyfriends questions about the menu. read more

This is the LARGEST Panera I've ever seen, and it has a DRIVE THRU! A drive thru! Seriously - maybe this happens more out in the midwest where things are a little more open, but back east, that's unheard of. We rolled in for a quick lunch to break up a long drive across Virginia. They staff here was incredibly friendly (especially to the four year old) and service was fast. The quality here was on point, and we all left happy and stuffed. If you haven't tried the mac & cheese, you should - pretty sure it has some kind of narcotic in that cheese sauce that keeps you coming back for it time and again. read more

Stopped by while in town visiting family. My sister and I decided on the "pick 2". I got the sandwich with chicken and avocado and the 1/2 southwest salad. It was delicious and I couldn't finish it all. It was about $12 per person with a bottled water. Her green goddess salad and frotega (?) Sandwich were very good. They both came with an apple. $29 for two people. The interior was very nice and so we're the staff members. There's a variety of desserts but we didn't have any. read more

General manager Linda Tweedy (I believe was name)took my order. She was not friendly, seemed to really enjoy her job....NOT!

After 10 minutes waiting in the ever slow drive thru for my online pick up order, my sausage egg white cheese and avocado on a ciabatta had brown avocado, less than nothing egg whites and there was ZERO sausage!!!!! So, I had to turn around on the highway and confront the store. I walk inside and ask for a manager Assistant Manager Andrew came waddling around and immediately gave me attitude. I told him to look at the f***ing sandwich, there's no sausage. Immediately he starts attacking me in an extremely unprofessional manner, stating I cursed at him - I cursed at the situation of there being no sausage on a sausage sandwich! He continued to belittle me. Asked if I paid cash or card, I inform again it was an online order so what does he think. He told me to insert my f***ing card then. it was beyond horrible treatment of a DISABLED VETERAN and her small child in arms! I am beyond appalled and suggest everyone save their money and go to another location. the food is always gross here anyway. Ethan and Lila were so amazing! They went out of their way to help me find the drink station and bathrooms. They were super helpful and polite the entire time. I was very nervous but they made me feel so welcome. Then when I got my food I was nicely greeted with my strawberry poppyseed salad. However, I think one in three times I use the drive through, my order is wrong. I think it might be the speaker in the drive through? It seems like sometimes they have trouble hearing. I about had a heart attack when I saw there was a stinkin' drive-thru -- really, that may have been the most transformative experience of my ENTIRE LIFE. The inside of this Panera is bigger than many big-name chain stores that are typical "sit-down service".
