Really great food! My steak was a little underseasoned but it was cooked perfectly. Delicious shrimp, mashed potatoes and green beans with it. Their French onion soup was hearty. Not the watered down versions you get most places. Loved the flourless chocolate cake to finish things off. Service was excellent! Easy street parking. The oysters had a fresh and clean taste with the hint of the ocean. They were covered in a lightly fried uniquely, light batter. I also received a tasty and healthy side salad and green beans. While the Rice was great it was fucking $25-$30 for a rice dish which is RIDICULOUS. There are much better Thai rice places that are way bette.r This place seems more like a gimmick with little robots running around delivering your food. The robots seemed to make the restaurant less efficient rather than more efficient, especially considering the restaurant is quite small. Just happen to find this restaurant while visiting my Mom. It's a very lively spot with live music near the bar. Not obtrusive but nice guitar. My server was fun and in the spot. The place was hopping and she was extremely busy but still able to keep up with her tables. I wish I remembered her name! My wife and I went there for dinner November 19 and it was outstanding. Before dinner, she had an old fashioned and I had a Sazerac. Both were made very well. For dinner, she had the smoked pork ribeye and I had the pan seared duck breast. Both of us were surprised at just how great our food was. For dessert, we shared peanut butter pie and bread pudding; perfectly prepared. And our server, Dominique, was knowledgeable and friendly. This restaurant is a gem. Highly recommended. read more

After a full day of wine tasting, I made a reservation for me and my friends at this restaurant. At the end of the meal, one of my friends exclaimed, "Who do they have in that kitchen?" The food was an absolute 10/10; it was delicious! Despite the restaurant's unassuming appearance and the clientele looked like the type of folks that don't have too many seasonings in their cabinet. but when I tell you that food, was good, it was GREAT. It had that perfect home-cooked taste, elevating our dining experience. This was about a month ago at this point, but some of the dishes we had that were absolutely delicious included the lamb entree, the salmon entree, and the crab cakes. We are staying in town and found this place on yelp. Can't say I am very impresse, the food is decent but not great. Saturday at 7 pm they are already out of the crab dip - popular iR ill-prepared? 1. The drunken shrimp is decent - light battered and flavorful. 2. Shrimp and grits was pretty good. A bit too spicy to my taste though. 3. Bacon wrapped scallops - $20 for 3 scallops, too pricy and it's nothing to rave about. It's ok but won't come back. read more

This might be the best restaurant I've ever been to! My husband and I took a quick weekend trip on the motorcycle to drive Skyline Drive. Without knowing much about the area we chose Waynesboro to stay right under the Skyline. Found Green Leaf on Yelp when we arrived to town. As we walked in the door the folks leaving said "Best restaurant in town! Come on in!" That's always a good sign! Everyone who worked there was so nice and the food was DIVINE! It's a nice restaurant but we still felt comfortable in our riding clothes. The live music was EXCELLENT and the food even better. We loved it so much that on our second night we decided to go back. Between both nights we tried the shrimp and grits, grouper special (which they fixed as a gluten free option even though it wasn't listed GF), shrimp po boy, French onion soup, and smoked pork ribeye. Now I'm over here trying to figure out other places we can go that will take us near Waynesboro again in the future (4 hours away) because the husband claims it's too far to go just to come back to eat. read more

We had the drunken shrimp for an appetizer, and then my wife had a beet salad and I had an oriental chicken salad for dinner. The food was outstanding! From service to food to atmosphere this restaurant does well. The price is a little high compared to what else is around but the potions are large and the menu is wide enough to give budget friendly options for those willing to forgo the duck. Ask researching veggie friendly places to eat in Waynesboro (there aren't really any) and reading all the wonderful reviews, I decided to try out Green Leaf Grill and see for myself. Thanks to other Yelp reviews, I went with the Coconut Curry with Tofu. OMG - it's delicious! Reminds me of when I went to Singapore and got this amazing Malaysian curry. The curry was honestly that good at Green Leaf. I know...weird, considering how can an American restaurant make such good Asian food?! The curry is rich and packed with flavor. It's not greasy. I love the tofu bites, perfectly crispy, I devoured them. The portion size is quite generous, I ate about 1/2 and was stuffed! Very tempted to bring home the leftovers. My fiancee enjoyed the salmon and enjoyed his meal, it was perfectly cooked. I'm impressed that Green Leaf carries 4 different flavors of Bold Rock cider. My fiancee got the Bold Rock apple and blood orange cider (which is their newest). I got a glass of Pino Noir. We both enjoyed our drinks and the ciders were only $4 each. The best part of the meal was Destiny, our server. She was so friendly and served our food with a sweet warm smile. I'm glad that I went with her recommendations (the raspberry vinaigrette goes well with the house salad). Overall, a great meal that didn't break the bank. Will def be back and want to try out more menu items, although not sure if I can pass up that curry. read more

If I could give 6 stars, I would. The food was absolutely amazing here. In town for a family trip and stumbled upon this place by accident if I'm being honest. We tried a bunch of other local places because my wife had food allergies (Gluten) and were let down and this was just something we walked by, completely defeated. When we walked in, we were greeted by the bar staff as we asked "do you guys have any gluten-free items?" To which they replied "yes, we have quite a bit actually" and off we went. Seated near the Main Street windows, the place just felt comfortable. You can tell it's a locals hangout, and we all liked that. My daughter and I tried the lasagna. Putting it mildly, it's the best I've ever had in my life and one that we use to judge all others against. Folks, I can eat.. and I'm telling you this floored me and was a huge portion. Seriously, I live three hours away and want to drive there now for dinner, and it's been months since we have been there last. What's better, was my wife had a grilled panini that was gluten-free and she has said repeatedly it's still one of the best meals she's had out in 15 years since being diagnosed. Went there tonight for the second time as we enjoyed the first experience. The place is small and cramped with little room between tables. Servers frequently go by with trays in the air to get thru. We were just about done with our dinner when a waitress dumped a salad plate with a large amount of dressing directly on me. I had dressing all down the left side of my flannel shirt, on my regular shirt, and on my jeans. Quite the mess. The manager on duty "Justin" comes by with our bill after I've cleaned myself of all the salad dressing. "Accidents happen" he says. I discounted your bill. What he did was comp the appetizer. Offers to "dry clean my jeans". Who dry cleans jeans anyway? Sure, I'm gonna drive a hour round trip, and wait for jeans to be dry cleaned instead of staying home and just putting them in the washer. He was totally unprofessional, and had an attitude. Instances like that, any manager should comp the meal. Our check wasn't high at all. Before leaving we asked who his boss was. He claimed to be the owner. A simple search online after we left revealed, that is NOT the owner, but rather the bar tender. So Justin was rude, unprofessional, and a liar. read more
