I came in with my family to meet with some friends. Panera is a convenient place to get together if needed. The inside has a a lot of room and variety of seats. This brand is alright. Since we moved here three years ago this place is on a downward spiral. We usually meet up with friends on Saturday mornings for coffee but will be looking for a new meet up location soon. They have chosen to rely on the customer to order through the terminals, no big deal except when reach the end and can't put in a number because the electronic pucks don't work. Maybe someone will come to the front in time. This past Saturday some of the friends complained about how dirty it was and the kicker.....they had NO eggs....! Time to move on. read more

I haven't eaten at Panera in awhile and was shocked by the changes. First there's no humans to talk to. They are all sequestered in the kitchen and try very hard to not interact with you. The dining room was filthy, the floors were sticky and they were out of many baked goods. There was no way to get your drink cup for the rotation drinks. After wandering back and forth the General Manager happened by and I got his attention and got two cups. I have no idea how anyone else gets a drink here. Over all a poor customer experience all in the name of reducing waste overhead by not having humans to talk too. I hope this trend of removing human interaction from the service industry will reverse. read more

Ordered a chicken frontega sandwich through take out and they forgot to put chicken. Called the store and told them what happened and their reply was "I believe it". They didn't apologize or offer to make it right. They are offering a refund in 5-7 days. Really frustrating customer service. COST $17.21 Got home, unpacked a HALF a sandwich (the cinnamon roll was bigger than the sandwich and it weighed more). I cannot believe this half (cut) sandwich received is supposed to be the whole sandwich as ordered. This particular Panera is absolutely the worst we have ever experienced. The most glaring of the many problems with this restaurant is the consistently horrible service. literally every time we get something from the drive through there's something wrong or missing with our order. Even down to simple things like slicing the bagels. They are either not sliced or sliced and toasted despite clear directions they only be sliced. Wrong items or missing items are a constant aggravation. The employees are usually standing around on their phones or too busy socializing and not paying attention to their customer's orders. My husband attempted to use his rewards this morning for his purchase and was informed that he needed to add an item, so he did. The rewards still failed to be redeemed and the cashier called for the manager who was of no assistance in taking care of the customer. Instead, he just canceled his order and walked out the door. I wanted a Greek salad so I ordered online and usually I would order one during the weekday, but I decided to go on a Sunday. I ordered on the way and usually it takes a while because people are in line, but today they had us cleared out and I never had my food within 5 minutes before and that was on a weekend. The one person at the drive through window was super kind and gave my dog a little whip cream which made his day. Definitely wanted to say thank you for making it a good day. read more

After more than a year of construction and government/virus delays this store is finally open. This business was built from the ground up. Brand new and I must say it is a very nice building they do not seem to be very busy yet but I do believe the customers are coming around to them being open. The service at this location has become drastically worse. There were 5 people in the food service area today. Customers were waiting a very long time for their orders. We ordered 2 sandwiches and 2 salads. Waited over 20 minutes for 3/4 of our order. They marked our order as ready without the last sandwich. Had to wait over 20 minutes for the last sandwich. They were all running around and into each other like they had no clue what to do next. They were opening up sandwiches trying to figure out what they were, asking customers repeatedly what they had ordered or were waiting on, and even asked a customer waiting on a to-go order to open a sandwich on the counter on see if that was hers. I very much like Panera and their food. Have not had any major issues with this location when ordering online and picking up curbside (other than them forgetting chips or something small, nothing that I feel is important enough to complain about). Today, I used their delivery service. I ordered online through Panera's website. Apparently, this location uses Door Dash to fulfill their online orders, even if the order is placed with Panera directly. Despite the *numerous* e-mails I have received regarding their $1 delivery, they also charge a "convenience fee". I believe this is based on the amount of food your order (and I ordered a lot, so it was $10 for my order). All of the delivery services charge these extra fees, which I find highly irritating, but even more so when you send me so many e-mails telling me your delivery is only $1. I'm really not sure how all of these delivery services haven't been sued for unfair and deceptive trade practices and false advertising over these fees. At any rate, I digress. Door dash delivers an order with two containers of soup and someone else's name on it. I can tell immediately that this is not my order (as I said, I ordered a lot of food), so I tried to wave down the Door Dash driver, who watched me waving and proceeded to drive off. I called Panera to inform them of the issue. They tell me that the driver must have picked up the wrong food, and that they are working on putting my order together, but that I will need to call Door Dash to make sure someone comes to pick it up. I raise the fact that I did not place my order with Door Dash, I placed the order with Panera, and the manager with whom I was speaking informed me that I would have to call Door Dash if I wanted the food delivered. So I called Door Dash. It took over 30 minutes on the phone with them to arrange to have the food delivered, which was delivered over an hour after the original delivery time. I would also note that, on top of the $10 "convenience fee" (which I still maintain is a delivery fee and is false advertising on Panera's part), THEY CHARGE MORE FOR THE SAME FOOD IF YOU HAVE IT DELIVERED. For example, the Chipotle Chicken Avocado Melt sandwich is $9.99 for a whole sandwich if you pick it up, but it is $11.79 if you have it delivered. Almost $2 more for the same food, on top of the "convenience fee" they charge in addition to the $1 delivery fee. And notwithstanding all the additional costs associated with having the food delivered, I HAD TO CALL DOOR DASH TO GET MY FOOD DELIVERED. Oh, and on top of that, they gave me a pumpkin cookie instead of a pumpkin muffin. Those two items are not the same. If you made it to the end of this review, thank you for listening to my rant. Needless to say, I will not be ordering delivery from Panera ever again, and I would not recommend anyone else do so either. read more

Spent $37 on 3 items that I waited 20 minutes for to be utterly disappointed. Showing advertised pictures of menu versus what was received. Box for pizza even says crispy, hahaha it was the complete opposite of that. I just finished the very best chicken noodle soup I've ever had, including homemade. I chose drive thru and was answered and served promptly and politely. They showed a very high inspection rating and everything looked clean an uncluttered. My soup was still hot after my 30 minute transit home. Great overall experience! My family just tried to dine-in there and had the absolute worst experience ever. We used to own a restaurant and would never have treated anyone the way we were treated. We used the kiosk and placed our order for dine in at 7:38. We got our drinks and sat down. At 7:50 two employees came to us and said "is it ok if we make your order to go? We close at 8." We said no we specifically came to sit down and eat as a family. We thought you closed at 9. They walked away and went to other paying customers and did the same thing. I then watched an employee vacuum around the dining room and under a customers feet? Our food was not ready until 7:55 but when I went to pick it up it wasn't ready. They were still making the last sandwich. When it was finally ready it was bagged to go. I went to the table and we unbagged it and sat down to eat. After two bites we had 4 female employees walk over and tell us we had to pack up and leave. They closed at 8 and we can't be in the store. That we needed to leave now. At that point my husband started filming. We asked why the kiosk allowed the order for dine in if we can't dine in. That it should block dine in at 7:30. While talking to them and trying to understand one employee standing by me called the police? Stating we were hostile and they needed police assistance? While another employee started counting to 10 she said to keep her temper? After a short banter the female manager stated we could stay (after I asked for a refund). but in future we wouldn't be allowed to. Doors lock at 8 and everyone had to be out of store." Needless to say we all lost our appetite and just packed up and left. When we got outside an employee ran to the door, locked it and flipped us off. All the other employees were laughing and clapping while dancing around. Absolutely the worst service/experience ever. We understand closing time and people wanting to go home, but we also understand what it takes to close a restaurant and how to treat paying customers. We could have eaten our meal and been out in about 15 minutes but that was not good enough for their management. I would not recommend this location at all. When I pulled up to the order speaker, I wAS TOLD THERE WAS A 10 MINUTE WAIT, THERE WAS ONLY TWO CARS IN FRONT OF ME THAT HAD ALREADY ORDERED. I really like Panera and was so glad when this one opened near me. BUT they are always out of basic menu options - bread for sandwiches, warm bowls, and almost all bakery items. Literally every time I try to make an order, they don't have up to half of their menu items in stock. Just left this location after having the most bizarre, combative and rude encounter with staff members, including a manager. Hands down, worst experience at a restaurant ever. Disappointing. I realize they have not been open long but they were out of several items. There are signs in every window advertising a broccoli bowl but it was unavailable. So i asked for a sandwich but they didn't have the avocado or tomatoes. Finally ordered the fuji Apple salad. For $11 next time im going to Wendys. A lovely staff and a great building. The food is what you'd expect from a Panera. However, I do wish they'd cut their french bread and not just tear it apart. I know it's only a side item but come on. It took awhile for this to be built with the COVID delay; but as I pass it everyday I stop frequently now. I joined them on opening day and have eaten-in and received delivery approximately 15 times. In the last 4 days I have visited 3 times and they have been out of stock on a lot of items. I'm told this is due to a menu change however still inconvenient when you order and then an employee comes to find you only to let you know that they cannot prepare your food. I'll be stopping by tomorrow to see if the rating will go up and see if this elusive food delivery actually happens. Great team and great managers and that's why I'm going back! read more

I've been to several Paneras over the years and have always enjoyed the experience - except for this one. Very disappointing. My wife were there on a Sunday morning but we've been there a few times before always hoping that things would improve. They have not. At our latest venture, they only had one coffee (Hazelnut) out. When we asked whether there were any other options, one associate agreed to get a dark roast. A few minutes later one of the other associates (could have been a manager) came out and said that they only had hazelnut. When we were looking to order, the menus on the wall still showed their dinner menu and the associates didn't know how to change over to the breakfast menu. Associates are generally nice but you can tell they've not been trained very well. When our food was waiting, no one called out to tell us and if we hadn't seen the kitchen window, we would never have known our meals were ready. We won't be going back there again until someone I trust tells us that they have made substantial improvements. read more

Tried to order creamy chicken wild rice soup..Oh, we don't have that. Ok.. I'll take a Mediterranean Bowl. Oh.. We dont have that..Ok..Can I get a side of cucumber tomato salad? We dont have that. I left. 2 days later, went back in the morning for 2 bagels, 1 with cream cheese, one with butter. Cost over $5.00.. Opened the bag.. First, these are NOT REAL BAGELS.. They are Walmart style bagels: round bread, spongy, light as a feather.. Crap. I paid $1.30 extra for cream cheese..I got a TINY portion of cream cheese, LITERALLY the portion was the size of a 50 cent piece..like, what the hell?? The butter for the other bagel was those portion packs, 2 TINY pats.. The cream cheese I was given covered a 2 inch by 2 inch area on my sponge bagel.. i took 1 bite.. That was it for the cream cheese. I rolled down my car window and threw the other 99% of the bagel out the window for the birds, and my friend did the same. We drove next door to Harris Teeter, and for .75 cents I got a REAL BAGEL from their bakery, and for a dollar my friend got a huge fresh pastry. While we were there, we also picked up some nice cream of chicken wild rice soup, for less than half the price of Paneras soup. So the verdict is: Skip Pathetic Panera and go next door to Harris Teeter and get MUCH better food for less than half the price. read more
